It is a beautiful old building with a fancy library room on the first floor. I wish I brought a nice outfit to take pictures there! There's a microwave in reception area. Coffee and tea is provided, but not before 7 am. There is a restaurant on site. The room had nice touches of old decor elements still there.
The door to the room has a window. The window is not transparent, but lets in the hallway light. There was no curtain to cover it, meaning it was never fully dark inside. I kept waking up, thinking it was dawn. The room had an unpleasant smell. It is hard to know where it was coming from. After we opened the window to air it out, the smell was mostly gone. There was no hair dryer.

Itâs an old castle and had the feel of it. Room was clean and well maintained. Coffee available for the guests. Went to bed early and the ghosts decided to interrupt (shower door kept opening and closing with a âbangâ. It stopped after I acknowledged them. Then in the morning I told my husband âitâs time to get upâ and the TV turned on. How fun!
No hair dryer. I had to use the heater in the room, so it worked out ok. Shower head is extremely low, so you may have to shrink down to use the shower.

I don't think they offer breakfast. This is a quirky, historic castle type hotel with interesting old photos and a basic no frills room with slow wall heaters and very long wait for hot water but it was very clean and the bedding and towels were super soft. They had loud karaoke but our room was away from it. They also have quiet hours after 10 so that's nice. Street ambiance was nothing special but easy to park in back.
New screens needed, thicker blinds on door and maybe some artwork in rooms plus a towel hook by the sink.

The room was great, the service was amazing and the experience was good. We came into town for a festival and the weather wasn't the best to be wondering around so we did spend more time at the castle than we expected.
The hard wood chairs didn't make for staying in the room comfortable, we did the best by stealing pillows from our beds, just could have used some padding. Also the coffee? table, we all stubbed our toes on the legs as they stick out further than the table top. Lastly, the stairs make coming and going very difficult with disability issues. Both my sister and I are in our sixties and the knees don't work great the ramp from coming from the parking lot was build with mountain goats in mind. If you don't have any mobility issues, it would be good, all the stairs are challenging in the hotel. But I think I would stay again after my other knee is replaced and we don't have so much luggage to rangle.

Key appointments are luxurious: mattress, bedding, and towels are high-end. I was surprised to find the room had a refrigerator with freezer which was very helpful. There is a microwave in the lobby which we used to reheat leftovers. The bathroom was stunning with polished white marble and gold accents. We were also able to make coffee in the room. The hotel has history which makes for a compelling story. Plan to spend some time in the library; their library of condensed Reader's Digest books is impresive.
The only improvement is to upgrade the carpets.

The view was spectacular. The staff in the bar accommodated my request to change the tv to the Mariners game. Very pretty grounds.
Itâs not a âQuietâ place. Creaky stairs next to our room, but I guess thatâs to be expectedđ there was no hair dryer and it was quite warm in the room. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. It is interesting to think about the âghost factorâ, in the middle of the night we heard a clatter and found my watch charger in the middle of the floor. Logical explanation is I left it on the bed and one of us knocked it off, but it was quite a ways from the bed.

Gorgeous property, amazingly friendly staff!
So much history and some fun âghostâ stories were shared. Oh and taking a trip in the oldest running elevator in Washington state was creepy and so fun! The grounds are gorgeous and well kept, the natural light in the bathroom was simply amazing! This place was simply charming and restaurant in side was absolutely divine! We will definitely recommend and stay again.

Even though I arrived there at closing time, your woman was very kind and helpful. She made sure we were taken care of and made comfortable. The room was spacious and clean.
The bathroom was beautiful and large. But it was across the hall. That was a little odd. But I did not mind it. The website was a problem. I don't know if there was a connection problem, or something else. I do know that if I had just gone to the inn. We would have been there about 30 minutes earlier.

Victorian-era wealthy statement house outside, eclectic inside. I enjoyed cocktails on a chaise lounge in their bar, we slept well. I don't recall them making a huge point of water-view rooms, and it's true we had to look over several ugly parking lots to see the water, but still, water-view room. I've had worse ocean views hyped up harder. Less than a mile from an amazing breakfast cafe - go early. Highly recommend reading the history of the building provided in the binder in your room.
Wasn't a problem for us, but while there is technically an elevator it's a small one and you need the staff to operate it for you - which they stop doing around 10PM. My mom had the third floor room and fortunately she's always trying to get her steps in so she only wanted the elevator when she had her bag, still if you have accessibility issues be sure to have a very clear discussion with them before committing.

quiet room, comfy bed ,pillows and cozy comforter. very friendly staff helped with eating necessities. beautiful grounds garden view of water. I loved the historic old charm of the castle.
old smell in room, shower door did not close, carpet was not vacuumed, refrigerator was very loud, a lot of stairs but doable, I wish the restaurant and bar were open, we would have never left the building. I do wish they had a gift shop, postcards , pictures, magnets, that would be cool. I wish the elevator ran more also.
