Rooms are well decorated and cozy, with interesting quotes on mirrors, extremely clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is close to Lincoln Memorial and Kennedy theater by walk and 8 mins walk to FoggyBottom metro. Breakfast and Lunch and groceries if needed was available at Whole Food mart 7 mins walk.

Some of the rooms are rather small in size for two people and would be helpful to know which ones are like that when booking through website in advance. But the property manager is very accommodating and understanding if you have issues

I strongly recommend this hotel! The staff was amazing, when I made a mistake with my booking that would have been non-refundable, they found a way to work around it and not have me loose my money: customer service is their absolute priority. I would stay here again if traveling for business or leisure. The minimalist design with the comfy vibe works incredibly well. It's a home away from home type of feeling. But really the biggest praise goes to the staff who were always helpful, never annoyed and just really kind. Ask for a room with a nice view to get the octagonally shaped room that has 6 windows!

Nice hotel, a little different but in a good way. Liked the fact I could decide when I wanted my room serviced. Bar downstairs was good, though menu options limited for lunch and dinner - anything you like as long as it's pizza!

Breakfast in the hotel was not good. Tried it twice and struck out both times. Waffles were cold, which suggests they were not freshly made, and my cold waffles were only ok. On my second try I went for a breakfast ciabatta, but it was half the size I expected for the money, so small I needed to go to another place and get a proper breakfast. My suggestion is eat elsewhere in the morning.

The staff at this place were absolutely amazing! Super friendly, helpful, just wonderful all around. They gave me food recommendations both before my stay and during my stay. Took any concerns I had seriously and helped me out with navigating the city when necessary. Keep in mind this is a MICRO hotel, so the space is small. I wouldn't want to hang out in my room all day, but it is perfect for changing and sleeping.

It's an older building, so it can get loud if other guests are not being aware of their noise level. Connecting rooms in particular can be louder. Mostly that is a problem of people not being aware of shared spaces. The front desk was very accommodating when the issue occurred.

The hotel was conveniently located near to my DC office and offered all the comforts needed in order to have a good stay. I stayed in the Buzz Queen and it provided enough space for me to have my suitcases and all my toiletries readily available. If I'm visiting the office in DC again, I'll definitely consider the Hive. Great location, great room and bed, and generally clean. The area is very safe as well.

No complaints really. Just heard the front desk staff talking sh*t about me for not saying 'good morning' to her that one time but otherwise it was a complaint-less free stay.

The aesthetic of this hotel is everything! We loved the convivence of the bar and the pizza! We arrived at the hotel and easily found street parking right by the main entrance. We were greeted by helpful and amazing staff at the front desk. We had asked about parking and they referred us to a garage about a 2 min walk from the hotel with lower rates then street parking. We entered our room to find everything clean and a wonderful little spot to hang out and get ready. We begin to explore DC with easy pick up access for our Uber we were not in the least bit confused. I would stay at Hotel Hive again! I loved the look and staff. PS the bed was super comfy!

There wasn't much I didn't like. The elevator was a little slower then most but, we just opted for the stairs.

I had to work from there and the internet was great from any point! I really appreciate this great connection. Location was great, everything in general is in walking distance from the place. At the same time it is on a quiet street. There is a great supermarket very close by if you need anything. However their pizza is just delicious! Even if you are not sleeping there I recommend visiting it for the pizza. Unfortunately, we had been doubled charged by some reason, but when we raised it they acted immediately, reverted the transaction in a prompt manner, and in general I liked their attitude towards resolving the problem.

That "for safety" reasons we were not able to open our windows. I think it is good to be able to naturally ventilate the room. But this was not a blocker for our good experience.

Great area, especially if you're visiting GW. Pizza and beer downstairs. Comfy bed and everything is renovated. A super fun vibe and everything is buzzing with the bee hive theme. This bargain comes with a caveat, the rooms are small, but if you need an iron/steamer etc they have amenities available if you ask.

No complaints! I chose the less expensive queen above the bar. It was loud because people were going up and down the stairs. It didn't bother me and it's what I signed up for with the booking. Also not a complaint, but fair warning the elevator is smallish.

Very friendly staff and that small-town hotel feel in a big city. For us, very good price-quality relationship. Close to Foggy-Bottom metro station, 15 minutes from the Lincoln Memorial at the start of the Mall, quiet neighborhood. Good breakfast and pizza's too!

No standard mini fridge available in the room, on request only (and perhaps surcharge). Sometimes the music in the hallways were a little loud, we could hear it in the room. No "holder" or anything in the shower for your washcloth, tooth rush, toothpaste, soap etc. Tip, we have one at home that you suction cup to the wall and works really well! Small things for us that didn't make our trip any less great, but small things none the less.

The hotel was cute and in a walkable area with lots of transit options. Having the bar and restaurants in it is great but they all close at 10 so we weren’t able to eat there. The beds were very comfortable although we booked a queen and it was more like a full size. The best part of the hotel was the staff!

There is no parking! Parking is paid in a near by paid parking deck. When we were leaving we couldn’t get out the machine stopped working and we had to call an attendant down from another floor to take our payment and let us out. As for the hotel it’s self…It is a micro hotel and the room is tiny! There’s no storage so all your things are just out. It was fine because we were only there one night, I would not have wanted to spend more than a weekend there. The room was fairly clean but the shower floor looked gross and the wall and shade had something very questionable on it. If you have a room that small there is no reason it shouldn’t be spotless, including the walls.
