Location was good, breakfast was good and staff was good

We had a handicapped room. The bathroom was NOT equipped for our needs. The toilet was too low, the shower was a tub, the bathmat was a towel type and the sink was too high. When I brought these to the attention at the front desk, the gentleman said “the toilet height and the tub are the MINIMUM required”. Really? Handicapped people need a toilet and shower that they are used to at home. Putting a shower chair under the sink does not cut it. Also, a non-slip mat is needed. We were unable to shower and feel we did not get what we paid for.

My wife, a friend, and I booked 2 rooms at the Hampton Inn in Van Horn Texas. We like to stay in hotels that don’t have a number or the color of their roof as we find they are better quality and safer places to stay. This was no exception. The staff person who checked us in was very nice and sent us a couple texts during the evening to make sure all was well with our rooms. The hotel was very clean with a nice area for a breakfast buffet. Our room with 2 queen beds was a very nice size with plenty of room to walk around. It had all the modern amenities including a fridge, microwave and a large flat screen tv. The bathroom was big with a nice sized tub and shower, plenty of towels, bright lighting and bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the wall in the shower. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub were closed for repairs. They have a good breakfast buffet with lots of offerings and an attendant who kept the place clean and the food fresh. The Inn is right off the highway and easy to find. Van Horn has a population of 2,000 so it was nice to find a hotel of this quality in the town. The Hampton Inns we have stayed in have been consistently nice, well run, in good shape for a fair price. We enjoyed staying at this one and can recommend it.

The swimming pool and hot tub were closed for repairs. Although the hotel building and interiors were all clean and nice, the grass areas outside the hotel were all dead. There was evidence of a sprinkler system in place.

Location we had an extended trip planned,this was our starting point. We have stayed here before.

We told the manager in the morning about the strong odor of Marijuana in our room and hallway on two different occasions during the night. He said it could have been the workers?

Cleanliness, Staff, Facility, and decent breakfast.

Elevator did not work and I was on the second floor. Room service did not respond to my need for bottled water. I wanted to book a room for my return trip and I was quoted $50 higher than my current rate for this stay!

Clean and staff was exceptional. Suggested dinner was superb and when we left we were offered coffee and water to go. We got water. Temps were hit on our trip so we really appreciated the extra care by staff.

Pool and spa were not open and elevator not working.

Nice little hotel just off the freeway.

It’s a bit out of town, so be prepared to drive if you’re looking for food. Also, the swimming pool was closed and the elevator wasn’t working but no discount was offered for the inconvenience.

It had a nice guest laundry service. The breakfast was superb. It was really really good!

The door was not closed when I arrived at my room. Sound isolation was not very good. Free Internet was slow.

Everything but booking.com.....had me as Haley Shawn instead of Myrtle Shawn Haley.....Haley is my last name! They almost didn't find my reservation because of it!

I just LOVED everything. I drove 9 hours to reach the place, asked for a good room view and they did give me what I asked for. All the stuff were great.

Macenzie was very friendly We left prior to breakfast. Loved the ear plugs. Although the room was very quiet. One suggestion, we traveled between time zones and none of the clocks in the room were set correctly. We had some confusion about correct time
