We loved our stay at Terell house bed and breakfast. The house is absolutely stunning, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fresh and homemade every morning. Twice the staff prepared something especially for us because we had to leave early in the morning. The location was quite nice as well. Although it took us approx. 40minutes to walk to the french quarter, it was great during mardi gras, because the main parade route on st. charles avenue is very close by. The garden district itself was also very beautiful with all the lovely houses with decorations. We felt quite safe in this area and enjoyed being outside of the hustle and bustle of the frenchquarter.

The price was hefty on our budget, although I guess Mardi gras and the stunning scenery were some explanations.

Everything was fantastic! I'd checked out lots of online images, but I was still impressed by the real thing when we arrived! Communication prior to our stay was great, and someone was there to let us into our room and show us around despite our late arrival time. Our room (balcony) was beyond wonderful, with comfortable bed, beautiful decor, and of course a relaxing balcony. The common areas, both indoor and outdoor in the courtyard, were lovely as well. The breakfasts were some of the best I've ever had on a vacation (and those biscuits? Unbeatable anywhere!). Most importantly, every employee we met was genuinely kind and helpful, and it was a pleasure to talk with them all about the area, the house's history, and life in general. We've already decided we want to come back and stay with you all again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Terrell House. Our room was perfect. My husband and I slept so well and both of us commented on how comfortable the mattress was. The room was quiet and the window blinds shut out the light so it was dark. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower and the a.c. was quiet and worked well. We had a coffee maker in the room. BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING! Fluffy biscuits, delicious sausage gravy, perfectly seasoned eggs, crispy bacon! The dining room was beautiful and we enjoyed conversations with other guests. We headed out early for the Shamrock'n Run on Saturday and the hosts were kind enough to leave bananas, peanut butter, and english muffins by our door for us. (disappointed we missed out on that wonderful breakfast though) The location was excellent. We could easily walk down Magazine Street to the French Quarter or the World War II Museum during the day. The restaurants on Magazine are amazing and just a few minutes walk from the Terrell House. We drove about 10 minutes to Audobon Park, but St. Charles Street is 2 short blocks away if you wanted to catch a trolley. Also, we were a few blocks down from the parade route, so we were able to park on the street by the B&B. I would certainly recommend Terrell House for your stay in New Orleans.

We did not have a fridge in our room, but there was one we could have used next to the ice machine.

The house is beautiful and furnished with antiques and luxurious fabrics, carpets, china, silver etc. An enclosed brick courtyard with vegetation, fountain and a friendly cat was a very pleasant spot to read or chat. But the star of the show was the breakfast. Gourmet quality, lots of southern/local special dishes.

Our room in the "annex" was quite small and and fairly simple. The in-room coffee service was undersupplied. Being on the second floor was quiet but we had to negotiate luggage up a flight of stairs. Not a big deal since the rest of the property, was so lovely.

Breakfast was good - something different each day we stayed

Our room did not have a fridge and the room was not serviced ( no prob except no-one to ask for coffee/tea & water replaced. The room on the second floor was fine but too difficult for people our age with luggage we were relocated next morning - great service.

Beautiful house, wonderful staff, great (and quiet) location.

It was a bit expensive to stay there, so the only room we could afford was up 54 steps. It was a comfortable room, buy not nearly as elegant as those on the middle floor.

Everything! It’s located at a great and quiet location in the beautiful Lower Garden District, it’s very central and everything important is closeby, it’s so beautifully decorated and a gorgeous, old house with character, the facilities as such are flawless, the staff is just wonderful - a very warm welcome, helpful, you get a fantastic introduction to the city, the warm breakfast’s made freshly daily and is delicious, Glenda is the wonderful soul of the house who makes your stay even more flawlessly perfect and is a very special, warmhearted lady, the rooms are as fantastic as the whole house - you cannot go wrong here if you want to stay in NOLA and live in an authentic place - we’d return anytime again!

Everything was perfect - no criticism whatsoever…

Couldn't have picked a better place to stay!!! From the start they were very accommodating to our needs. One morning they even put together a box breakfast as we had an early tour. The food was the Best, thank you to your chef! The staff was very helpful and their customer service has all the Southern charm that you will find. M Harvey
