Driving at night to the resort looked magical, like something from a Hallmark movie at Christmas! The grounds and hot spring pools were clean and well kept. The water temperature relaxed us and helped us with aches and pains. My husband didn't have knee pain all week. Our Creekside Suite had a kitchen and a fireplace, making it like home. The food and staff at the Mary Murphy Steakhouse were fantastic, as well as service by Lee at the Market. Noteworthy also were staff Scout, Jenny, Keeton and Joey at the front desk. Nearby sites to see were St. Elmo Ghost Town, Buena Vista and Salida. After Memorial Day, Cottonwood Pass is open for you to see a 360 view of the Continental Divide atop a 12,000 foot mountain.

We stayed in Creekside 63. It was right on the creek, feet away. There was a nice balcony with chairs where we had coffee. The room seemed brand new, had a fireplace, two loveseats, a gorgeous bathroom, a kitchen, complete with Nespresso machine, refrigerator, dishwasher and stove. The bed was great, too. I hope to be back soon.
Note that the older rooms are different. My parents stayed in the cliffside suites and the did not have a full kitchen, the room was older, but the views were extraordinary.

I have stayed here multiple times and will be back again. This was my first time in the Hillside room. Standard basic motel style room. Infinity pool was closed during our visit (it has limited hours in the winter) so we drove down to the main pools. Pools were super hot despite our stay being on one of the coldest days of the year. There was a free full moon yoga event the night we were there but we only found out about it after it was over. Maybe they could have mentioned it when we checked in? Otherwise our stay was nice. Good for a short low-key getaway.
Rooms need a little tlc. Could use warmer lighting and a luggage rack. I have always wanted to eat at the restaurant since it is so convenient, but unfortunately it's a steakhouse, which is not appealing cuisine for an otherwise nourishing experience (especially if your diet is plant-based). So we always go into town for food to bring back to the room. Hoping someday they move toward healthier options to complete the spa experience.

We've stayed at Mt Princeton in the past. The property was lovely and well-maintained. We had a creekside suite, and as promised had a view of the creek. The suite was huge, looked brand-new and spotless. Beds were super comfy. The kitchen was great - we had a stove to cook on. The Nespresso coffee maker made great coffee. The pools were amazing as before, and they even upgraded to 2 new water slides. Our kids played there all day. The staff are especially lovely, and considerate. I feel that even with the price, we got a great value for what we paid.
Staying in a more remote suite results in a lot of walking on inconvenient terrain, especially when heading to the upper pools. A stairway from the creekside cabins to the upper parking lot would make getting around a lot more convenient. The adult-only spa sauna was broken during our visit.

Lots of amenities, we chose to stay here for the hot springs pools but we’re impressed with the different options of pools, sport areas, hiking options, and large room.
They were understaffed and it appears that it has been this way for awhile. Many activities, like fitness classes were cancelled and we were looking forward to them and planned our day around some. It appears that they get cancelled a lot. The only restaurant on site requires reservations, which we did, but service was poor due to staffing. Our server tried very hard but was running all over the place trying to keep up. Since it was a pricey place, it would have been nice to enjoy it without some of the stress and drama from the staff. I do believe if they can get staffed better then it will be a wonderful experience.

Location, facilities. Liked the room situation the living room, kitchen with full fridge, the porch with the water flowing behind it, how the bathroom had a private toilet closet, fans and a shower and tub/shower. Very nice overall though definitely a 4 star not 5 star place but seemed like best with hot springs when I researched.
Charged extra at check out got disconnected in mountains so have to call to clear up when back home, not sure what charges are even for yet. At first didn't have our booking.com reservation although the front desk comped us two drinks for the trouble which wasn't that much trouble). Hope I get the extra charges cleared up not sure how much of a hassle that will be, probably should hold off the review ha

The hotsprings were amazing! We had a great time relaxing with eachother. And talking with the bartender during dinner. Such a nice get away trip that was much needed!
The room could be compared to a cheap hotel in a different location. It was not very comfortable and came with little accommodation. Also, the food choices were very slim and pricey. The parking lot to check in and out could use better signage as well. Perhaps reserve the spots near the lobby for guests checking in and out so it's not so clustered and confusing.

Loved the location, the cleanliness of the room, ease of getting towels at the pools, and each staff member we encountered was beyond friendly.
There need to be stairs for those staying in the Creekside Cabins to get to the upper pools. Walking along the highway is very unsafe. After walking along the highway the first time, the next time we saw a worn path along the hillside…perfect place for stairs. Super disappointed in the hours of the upper pools. When you can’t check in until 4, and the upper pools close at 5, that’s not conducive to guests who are paying a lot of money for those nice pools.

The staff was knowledgeable and were friendly. they answered any questions I had. check-in and check-out was simple, got the key and returned the key. Breakfast was good, but it's a paid breakfast. the stay of a room for a night with 4 ppl is cheaper than buying 4 individual hot springs pass. If you rent a room (mine:superiorqueen room), you get 2 days worth of soak, the day ofcheck in and the day of check out. So doing the math the value of 4 ppl for 2 day soak is roughly $360, a night spent there is cheaper than that. $45/person for a soak.

I really didn't expect this venerable old place to be the world-class resort that it turned out to be. The room seemed brand new with a full kitchen and modern amenities and was the perfect size for my family of 4 adults. Our room was just outside the high-flowing, gorgeous Chalk Creek. Unlike other hot springs places we've been, the water here does NOT smell like Sulphur. And the pools all seemed like they must be under 5 years old. All in very nice shape. The service was absolutely outstanding. We're already planning a week-long trip for next year. Very reasonably priced!
I live too far away from this heaven on earth.
