Parking is free and off the street (but not in a secure garage) We picked this motel for that fact alone! Many people have commented on dirty and smelly stairs. I didn’t find that-it’s old and the stairs are outside-ish (not covered) so they are bound to be worn and torn. The inside of the rooms are all renovated and clean, we were very confortable. The front door staff were really nice too.
The pillows were really thin and you only get two. The door keys would stop working everyday and we would have to get them re-charged-annoying. They said it was an old system. The area was fine. But 2 blocks away is a pretty well known area for drug addicts. We were fine walking through but didn’t know before hand. I’m writing this only for people who also might not know- you can also walk a few blocks and it totally changes. I would stay here again!

The location was convenient to a concert and after- party (so a late night). I was only intending to sleep and shower here. In SF, this is a good value. Rooms not facing the street are quieter. My bathroom had been nicely remodeled, and overall, the room was clean and comfortable. There's limited but free parking on- site; huge bonus in this city! I walked to a nearby restaurant, Son & Garden, to treat myself to the most incredible breakfast I can recall having. I'll definitely consider staying at this Rodeway Inn Civic Center again!
The elevator is old and small, so I opted for the stairs to get to the third floor. You'll likely encounter street people in this neighborhood, but none of them spoke to or approached me.

Can walk just anywhere from the location. The room was just right, big enough, with anything I could have asked for. And it all functioned well. Except for the wifi.
The wifi conked out again and again and it always took a long timei to bring it back. In the four nights I spent probably 90 to 120 minutes alone trying to get online. Too much, a grave problem.

Clean and comfortable room. Staff was really nice and helpful.
The location. In itself is good as it is close to Union Square. However, it's an area full of homeless people and drug addicts. It's a really sad aspect of San Francisco. Unfortunately for the motel, the number of homeless people is very high in the area. The mind their own business but still, not great to see.

I had a great time staying there! The staff were really nice and helpful. Parking (which is inside the building) was safe and available for guests. The rooms were clean and nice. Plus, having an elevator in the building made it convenient to bring your luggage up to your room.
Due to the location, there were several homeless people in the area. But you can't blame the motel for that.

Great location. Easy to get to all tourist sites from the hotel.
Was directly on the boarder of the Tenderloin district. Tenderloin district is where all homeless are. We walked from Union Square to the hotel with our luggage not knowing we were walking threw it. Was an eye sore. If you are traveling by public transport, try and go another way. Otherwise, I felt very safe outside and inside the hotel. Was only the walk to the hotel from the BART that was not attractive.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable.
I was very happy with my room and its location on the third floor. One drawback was the elevator being out of order. Because of issues with my back, I had a challenging time getting my suitcase down the stairs on the day of my departure.

Air conditioning, the bath tub was a good one , the towels were good, it was a good size and a value for the cost. I also liked the staff, especially the night lady who was helpful and actually tried to make things easier instead of difficult or impossible like most other places do.

Big room. No carpet, laminate floors. Plenty parking. Very clean.
Elevator did not work. Had a child, big wonderfold stroller. Had to carry all upstairs. Was difficult. All rooms are upstairs. No ground level. Ground level is parking only.

The staff are, for me, FANTASTIC! I'm always well taken care of when I'm at the Rodeway Inn, 'Nuff Said
That I couldn't stay longer. When I'm in the city that I was born and raised in, I always want to stay longer and if I could, I would live at the Rodeway Inn.
