I wish the hot items were hot...I enjoy the eggs and breakfast meats, however whether I went at 630am when they opened or at 930am....the eggs were always cold....meats not warm....great choices....just not hot

This hotel is very good. Check in superfast may be because we did pre check in formalaties sent on email earlier. Reception provided two bottles water at check in. Nice !. Vrry spacious lobby and ground area, nice atmosphere and no congesstion. Lifts very fast. Only about 4 floors.The location very convenient to the tram/ cable cars two locations . Pier39 just 15 minutes walk. Safe neighbourhood. Please note after 9 pm its just boaring all shops closed. So if going for dinner better before 9pm. Room very spacious and all placed well in the room.

Most of the hotels offer check in times very late now. Its not fair for customers. Booking. Com should start some kind of regulations to hotels. Check in very late/ check out early. This hotel at least accomodated our requests. The room we got 4619 or somethibg right infront of the buss depot. Its bad as if we open the curtains the depot is just in front. Deposit too much. No food in the hotel after dinner time.

They take my request of clean, quiet & connecting room seriously. They log my request into their system which helps to check in easily. The bed was very comfortable. The fireplace adds a cozy touch to the environment. Location is fantastic. Alot of Food walking distance away and Trader’s Joe is a great place to get some grocery. Breakfast is simple and good for us. Pancake, fruits etc. The street don’t feel unsafe. the wharf area and around the hotel at night doesn’t feel unsafe although there a few homeless but they usually keep to themselves. Overall we enjoy our stay.

Heater too noisy but the comfortable bed helps. Shower water pressure is weak. Variety of breakfast will be good esp for those staying for 3 days or more.

Highly recommend. Close to the hop-on hop-off bus, Fisherman's wharf and public transport. Can walk to piers from here for Alcatraz and the Bay Cruise etc. Can walk to many tourist attractions from here. Breakfast was amazing! Was busy but we were seated every time in 5 minutes. Easy and quick check-in and check-out. Return of deposit very quick. Very comfy beds and pillows, wonderful showers. Huge tv. Very clean room. On-site small place for snacks to go was great.

I loved it here, however, would have liked cheaper parking offered to guests, and filtered water dispenser available to guests as we did pay a facility fee. But all in all, this would not prevent me from staying again.

The room we got was on the first floor looking to the street and the noises from the street could be heard inside.

Great location. Good breakfast buffet included in price. No “to go food or drinks” allowed from the buffet. Walking distance to the Wharf (lots of restaurants) and to Ghirardelli Square. Close to pier to catch the Ferry to Alcatraz. Used Muni- public transportation(group day pass) for family of 4 to go long distances that required more than one stop. Otherwise used Uber and Waymo (driverless car- seats up to 4).

There was a bar and decent lobby area on site. They have a grab and go area open from 630-10. But it does cost. Would be nice to be able to take a bagel or coffee to go from the buffet already paid for when families have an early morning excursion. (We had one that required us to leave by 7 am). No lotion or conditioner in rooms. Forgot ours. Was able to go to the lobby and they did have some there.

Breakfast disappointing

We really liked the location, it’s very close to the piers and lots of great restaurants. You can easily walk around the area or take a short ride to anywhere in the city. The hotel has its own parking, and there’s also public parking nearby, which was convenient. The staff at the reception, housekeeping, and the quick pick-up bars were all very friendly and helpful. The service overall was excellent.

The only negative experience we had was with one of the staff members at the breakfast buffet. I was traveling with a child who felt unwell one morning and stayed in the room. After finishing breakfast, we took a single piece of bread for him, but a staff member (I believe her name was Maria) spoke to us in a very aggressive and impolite manner. We completely understand and respect the hotel rules, but the issue wasn’t about the rule itself; it was the way it was communicated, especially since we saw other guests openly taking plates full of food with them, and Maria watching and having no objections at all. I strongly recommend providing staff with additional communication or language training, as this interaction left a bad impression. Btw, Lucy from grab & go is amazing!

Location was perfect, breakfast was great. The room was super clean, on the smaller side but had everything we needed. They had a grab and go caffe opened until late which was very convenient, as well as the underground parking.

Parking was super expensive even for the area. It was safe and convenient though. They used natural ventilation so the hallways were very cold. They only provided shampoo and soap, which was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Most Inns and 2-star places these days give you conditioner, body lotion, makeup remover, shower cap etc. So people staying here should pack these things.

Riu hotel was great! Friendly staff especially the housekeepers..the rooms smelled fresh and clean, the hotel lobby smelled clean and very clean-no old carpet smell and the toiletries smelled really good and nice on my hair! I looked at the website for aqua sense but the prices were in British pounds! Riu is close to everything and if you need a ride, theres always Waymo to get you where you need to go! The towels i. The room are actual bath size towels that actually cover you- not like other hotel towels that you can barely wrap around yourself, and they were white and soft! The towels did not feel rough! Buffet breakfast was amazingly cooked hot and fresh, with a lot of options including drinks. I would say our stay was worth it for the price, i just wish parking was included during our stay but thats how it is here in SF.. you have to pay for parking in most hotels. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here and tell my friends about it! Thank you dor the wonderful stay! I love this hotel!😊
