Friendly staff and outstanding breakfast. Quick check in. Cleanliness could have been a lot better. They did not say on their website they would be charging an extra $100 that is refundable. It’s been a week. Still waiting for refund.

Breakfast was excellent- good choice of food. Loved happy hour - such a lovely place to sit with a drink and small meal in the evenings
Our tv was’nt working on arrival and we found the shower a bit hard to figure out but that’s probably because we are not used to that style of shower. We had to miss breakfast twice sadly as we were on tours which were leaving at 07.30 - it would have been nice to have breakfast available a bit earlier so we could have had it as well as go on tour

The location on Sutter Street near Union Square can’t be beat. The view from the 12th floor is worth your stay. Happy Hour and breakfast were both very enjoyable. Our room was clean, even if smaller than I expected. Many restaurants and Chinatown are walking distance. Coffee service in the room and a refrigerator are a nice touch. We have. Wen coming to the Marines Memorisl for over 40 years.
My only complaint is the coffee at breakfast is poor quality. They could really upgrade this to make breakfast (food is good) more enjoyable. The check in employees are quite slow.

The facility, location, happy hour and buffet breakfast with wonderful views of the city and partial bay view! Staff were amazing. There was a library, museum, lap pool and some gym facilities. Easy walking distance to China Town, Union Square, Iconic Cable Cars, Ferry Building and other locations. The area is very clean. San Francisco has done a good job keeping the city clean and inviting. Law enforcement was present in Union Square area, which is a good idea, in my opinion, due to the past issues they've had. We chatted with the officer and he was very pleasant and helpful with questions we had. San Francisco is a beautiful city...come visit!
Nothing! Would definitely stay again.

We picked this hotel because of the quirky and interesting history. Plus, for it's location it is exceptional value. Made better with a good, hearty cooked buffet breakfast included. You could have a healthier fruit selection or both!. Happy hour was a wonderful bonus with a free drink late afternoon in the top story bar and restaurant. Amazing views across the city. If you want a window seat, I'd recommend reserving one, which we did on our second night. We ubered most places which was convenient and not to expensive. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet at night. Would stay again
Our only complaint (and this is a stretch as we really liked it) would be that the very comfortable bed could have been a bit bigger, and the shower room, toilet and sink areas could do with a little update.

this is a well situated hotel in the Union Square district close to numerous bars and restaurants serving a variety of food. We were able to pull up outside the hotel to unload our luggage, which was great as parking on site was not available, but, there is parking at numerous locations within a block. With easy access the historic cable cars running along Powell Street to Fisherman’s Wharf and California to the Embarcadero it was a no brainier for us to purchase a 3 day MUNI pass, using the Muni App, for $31 dollars per person. With this we were able to travel, via historic cable cars, trams and buses, to all parts of the city quickly and easily, all included in the price. Considering that a single trip on an historic cable car can cost $8 this is amazing value. The hotel is full of dedications to people that have served in the US Marine Corps. You cannot help reading about the sacrifices that have been made and sympathise with their families. It is very humbling and makes you feel grateful for the freedom we have and appreciative of those that have sacrificed their lives. The hotel itself is well maintained, the rooms are tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, towels and bed linen crisp and white. You have a choice of room service at check in, i.e service the room on request or every day. We chose every day and this was carried out to our complete satisfaction. The happy hour, between 4-6pm was a great touch. All drinks were free of charge, (beer, wine and spirits), but, the best thing was that you were able to mix with other guests and discuss your day / experiences. We found this a great opportunity to gain perspectives and views from other nationalities. It was a great learning process. All the staff, from those cleaning your rooms to reception and concierge, were courteous and friendly at all times. They really made us feel at home.

I liked the buffet breakfast with great selections of foods. The hotel was centrally located and accessible to various means of transportation. The room was spacious with a beautiful city view outside the glass window.
The wifi service was extremely low and poor. I always got disconnected and most of the time unable to reconnect to the wifi. I recommend to get a prepaid e-sim to get an unlimited text, call and internet because that solved my problem with the internet. There was complimentary coffee but there was no complimentary drinking water provided in my room. I had to buy bottles of water outside the hotel.

Nice hotel with a great atmosphere. Dedicated to US marines and the US army.
Breakfast is delicious, but staff cares only about the tip and gives you the bill even before finishing the breakfast.
