Great location, near a bus station, you can also walk to some spots if you're feeling like it, although the city is big so if walking expect at least a 30mn walk. There is a free and safe parking which is great, we did not use our car ar all during our stay here and left it in the parking. The staff was nice and so was the room, everything was clean and looked nice.

Nice hotel in the Marina District of San Francisco with underground parking. When the parking lot was full late at night, we were allowed to park on the main floor. Even if there aren’t any free spots, you can leave your car blocking someone else’s and leave the key with the person at the reception desk. Our room faced a wall, but it was very quiet outside, which we appreciated. The elevator goes straight to the parking lot, and there are vending machines with water/snacks on each floor. Everything was good!

It would be better if there were more parking spaces available for late-night arrivals

The room was exactly as advertised - it was large, with enough storage space and two comfy beds and chairs, so it was perfect for a couple. The location was great - in a very safe neighborhood and on Lombard street, with a secure parking garage in the basement at no extra cost. There was no breakfast, but plenty of other options are available within a few minutes' walk (we can recommend the Home Plate for large portions, and of course Peets!).

Our room was facing Lombard street so it was not exactly quiet; it did not bother my partner (who is not a light sleeper), but you may want to bring earplugs (it worked fine for me). The AC in the bathroom somehow never turned off, but closing the door kept the noise to a minimum.

Free, easy parking in crowded city.

We needed to switch rooms because one of our rooms was getting only heat, not air-conditioning. Initially, we were told that we could not change rooms until the next morning. But, after several calls, the manager got involved and immediately gave us a different room.

We have stayed here numerous times before. The price is always reasonable and it’s conveniently located for our needs. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully decorated.

I would normally rate this property higher than I did. However, the check-in was problematic and annoying. I have made the reservation and prepaid through an OTA. Upon check-in, my husband pulled out a credit card to pay for the $150 security deposit which is required. The attendant wouldn’t accept his card because it was not in the name of the person who made the reservation. That made absolutely no sense when he’s standing right there with ID available and obviously his credit card. What kind of policy is this?

We always stay at this hotel when we come to SF. Great staff, comfy and clean rooms, excellent location and parking.

The TV remote is terrible!

Great location, easy access to public transit, close to good food/coffee/bars. Remodel is nice, appreciate the addition of mini fridge in the room. Free parking is always such a plus for this place. Check in is super fast and easy and staff is always very kind and professional.

Bed was very worn out and uncomfortable. I unfortunately had trouble getting any rest the two nights I stayed as a result. This hasn’t been the case other times I’ve stayed here, I just got bad luck with the mattress in the room I was given I guess. I hope the business considers reviewing the condition of their mattresses and replaces them accordingly. I’m surprised that was overlooked when they remodeled.

This hotel is of great value for money for the location. The room was clean and had everything needed to have a comfortable stay. I walked almost everywhere and loved taking in the sights along the way, and taking mental notes of places to return to. I booked for 2 nights originally, but ended up booking another night because I couldn't fit everything in I wanted to do. I was able to keep the same room, which was great. I felt safe walking to restaurants at night on my own and did this each night. I enjoyed the various happy hours just a short walk from the hotel, and the food and cocktails were fabulous at each place I tried. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Everything is well organized - security parking and security entry. Everywhere is clean and tidy with no smell of smoke nor cover up scent, including the shower curtain, the bed sheets, which are very important. The room is adequate in size, bright and airy. The deco is minimalist - light blue with white trim and the pictures on the wall are subtle and elegant. Exactly my kind of taste. A delightful gem that I highly recommend. Oh, the parking space is good size and easy to maneuver including the entry way.

The towels. The only thing I don’t like out of everything I appreciate about this hotel. You can’t blame them as even 5* hotel that you paid double or even triple the price gives you towel like this- light greyish worn out thin small towels. Why? One can easily pay $6.50 for a decent new bath towel which I think they can get even cheaper buying bulk. Why downgrade the whole impression at some very important easy to fix items.

Great find in the Marina District. While not centrally located like Union Square Hotels, Public Transportation in San Francisco is excellent and only a few blocks from this property. Close to Marina district dining, Union Street shops and restaraunts and Chrissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge. We travel a lot. We usually stay in 4 Star hotels, Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott etc. The room we had matches at least and perhaps surpasses some of these chain hotels. LOTS of room. huge comfortable bed. Glassware in the room instead of paper or plastic (makes that in -room coffee taste better!). Safe. Mini Fridge. Ammenities a plenty. Even the decorations with a San Francisco theme were quite nice. The lobby is tiny but clean, functional and comfortable. Excellent modern bathroom in our room. On site parking. We live in the SF Bay Area but will surely keep this Motor Inn in mind for our next visit without a doubt!

Upon arrival the front desk clerk could have mentioned there was lower level parking as well as that would have been moere secure. BUT having free onsite parking regardless is appreciated.
