Breakfast was ok but a bit pricey! Seating area was fine and evening meal was very nice.
Originally when booked, thought the breakfast was inclusive!

Great staff and atmosphere. The pub was busy with locals and visitors. Locals were welcoming and friendly which isn't always the case. Food was good. A good menu with themed nights when the specials were reduced in price. Tuesday was Curry night, Wednesday was Pie night, Thursday Steak and Friday Fish & Chips. The pub is in a good location on the edge of Exmoor and close to Watchet and Minehead.
Although the breakfasts were good they were an unexpected expense at £12.50 each as it's not totally clear on booking.com that it's extra for breakfasts and you're only paying for the room.

Lovely old pub in a quiet location. Plenty of outside seating when weather suitable. Selection of real ales in bar. Food excellent for evening meal, a good choice at reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also dog friendly at no extra cost (unlike some ‘dog friendly’ places that want extra money).
A small ‘complaint’; breakfast is charged at a flat rate of £12:50. If you want a full English with tea/coffee, etc, then not a bad deal. But, if you just want a light breakfast of tea/coffee & some toast, or possibly just a boiled egg, then the cost encourages you to go elsewhere.

Wonderful setting. Busy but not too noisy. We had a dog and not many places to walk from the pub as all main roads but great if you drove elsewhere. The pub food was great. Great offers each evening,e.g curry and a pint etc. be careful that they charge for the offer price though as we thought we Paris full price one night.
There were blood stains on the bottom of the duvet and the toilet was so small that you couldn’t swing a hamster! Apart from that the bed was very comfy and facilities great. There was a fan in the room.

Fantastic pub in a beautiful location. Very clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately our room was over the main pub and music and loud voices didn't stop until 12:30. We did expect some but not after 11pm on a Sunday night. We don't have cooked breakfast so unfortunately found the selection a bit limited. The tea cake was chewy, as I assume it had just been defrosted. Amazing pub though with really friendly staff. We had a lovely evening meal.

The property was well located for visiting the Quantocks and Exmoor. The pub was exceptionally lovely with excellent food and portions etc. we did find that breakfast at a set price of £12.50/ each was fine if you were having the full English breakfast, but very expensive for just porridge and toast! However what we ate was lovely and the team were very obliging and happy to change things around.
The mattress was too soft and uncomfortable, as suffers of back pain etc. we found we were both suffering which wasn’t ideal. The room was comfortable though, although we felt the bathroom should have had frosted glass rather than relying on a blind to give one privacy when toileting. We were pleasantly surprised on how quiet the pub was after 10:30pm although we were kept awake by other quests dog whining in the night and their owners taking them out during the night/early hours of the morning, as our bedroom was by the rear door, so that was quite noisy and disturbing.

Lovely location , great food in a delightful setting , excellent room ,spacious, spotlessly clean with a large ensuite , very nice. Breakfast delicious and very attentive staff , for future reference we were ready at the allotted time to come down for breakfast, just as we tried the door and found it was locked , it suddenly opened by the breakfast lady, this was a little disconcerting . we hadn't been properly alerted the this door remained locked until the morning , this didn't spoil our enjoyment but we had never come across this before . upon departure this was easy exiting via a useful back entrance, very handy for the convenient spacious car park. Our dog loved the overnight stay too. Look forward to our next booking .com reservation as it is so straight forward with them. Thank you .

Beautiful setting for this delightful country pub with accommodation. Our room was lovely, a big double with a nice en suite and view over the beer garden. Nice and quiet for sleeping, lovely big bed with plush bedding that was very comfortable even for me with my very arthritic back.
Id have to say the breakfast was quite a let down, I paid an extra £12.50 per person and all we got was a basic full English. The bacon and sausage were very poor quality and had obviously been re heated in the microwave so they had dried out and lost any taste. We were only offered one hot drink each at breakfast too. When we first arrived there were no tea bags on our hospitality tray, luckily we found some on the landing area. Also, the tray was quite dirty and very basic.

Really friendly service, excellent food both at dinner and breakfast. We also had a special request for a take-away breakfast option, which was satisfied without issues. The room was lovely (we stayed in room n. 1), spacious bathroom and lovely view from the windows. The hotel has free parking outside. Someone might find this info useful: the hotel is located 10 minutes away from a bus stop (bus 28 which takes you straight to Minehead, where the Coastal Path starts).
Breakfast is served only from 8:30 to 10:00, so might be an issue for someone who wants breakfast earlier.

We booked a table for dinner and luckily we did as it really was busy, the food was absolutely beautiful really enjoyed it, highly recommended we both had clean plates which really is unusual. The room was small but comfortable and very clean it was adequately equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits and lovely shower accessories and the added touch of ear plugs to block out the noise from the pub should you want an early night. The staff really couldn't have been any friendlier or helpful, we will return when we want to get away from the hustle and bustle.
I don't feel there is anything we disliked.
