A truly exceptional stay at Sentry Mead! Absolutely stunning hotel and a very warm welcome from Andrew. Much appreciated tour of the facilities before being shown to my room which was beautiful, peaceful and spotlessly clean! Loved the little luxury touches such as the little chocolates on the pillow, the Elemis pillow spray. They have thought of everything for a luxurious and blissfully relaxing stay. The hosts Andrew and Carole are wonderful and were so accommodating when I had arrived earlier than expected and also offered to book restaurants and advised where to get takeaways if preferred. Although a work trip, luckily I managed to get out exploring this beautiful part of the Isle of Wight using the coastal paths, absolutely stunning. Wished I’d of stayed a few extra days.

Great location with stunning sea views. Friendly and helpful staff with good communication before arrival. High quality bedding, towels etc and room was very well appointed. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice & high quality ingredients. Lovely little touches in the room made it feel really special.

The property was dog friendly and they provided a dog bed, bowl and treats but unfortunately dogs were not allowed in the breakfast room and there was no alternative area to eat with them so we had to put him in the car while eating. This was the only negative in an otherwise perfect stay.

The property is beautiful, with a large comfortable living room and a large relaxing conservatory. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were good breakfast options, and a couple of good local restaurants in walking distance for our evening meals.The staff are all really friendly, and have thought of everything in terms of guests' comforts. Sentry Mead provided the ultimate home-from-home experience. The Totland location also worked well for us, as we comfortably drove around the whole of the Isle of Wight with no issues.

A fabulous building beautifully maintained, with special touches throughout our stay. The room was stunning, very comfy bed and huge bath perfect for tall people. Wendy was warm and welcoming and took the time to show us around. After a long cycle, the freshly made banana bread slices in our room were much appreciated. Elemis toiletries and lavender pillow spray were a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious, and the lady serving was very attentive and happy to help with dietary requirements.

We would definitely come here again! Gayle and Mark are wonderful hosts- there is nothing you could want for in the Sentry Mead- they have literally thought of EVERYTHING! The rooms are tastefully decorated, have mini-fridges, snacks and mugs for tea and bathrobes. Downstairs there is a bar room with drinks and snacks on the honour system and upstairs a Nespresso machine. The downstairs lounge is comfortable and inviting, as is the conservatory, terrace and garden area. You are a three-minute walk from the beach and trekking routes. There are restaurants and shops nearby as well as a bus stop, from where you can catch several different buses to explore the island. It is quiet and peaceful, but wonderfully accessible to tourist sights and other points of interest. And the breakfasts are outstanding!

Nothing- everything was perfect!

Sentry Mead far outweighed my expectations. What an absolute joy of a hotel. The owners and staff are so welcoming and you are made to feel right at home. They have thought of absolutely everything. From the robes, slippers, Elemis toiletries, pillow spray, fridge with fresh milk and water every day. Cake, chocolates. Bed, water bowl for Dolly. I could go on.... Fabulous choice at breakfast. Mark & Gayle are so down to earth and Bridget is just a lovely friendly lass from Yorkshire. Nothing was too much trouble . The honesty bar is such a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we're sad to leave. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.

Good location and nice room. Very clean bathroom. The hotel is located very close to the beach and it is very good for evening stroll. The breakfast was amazing. Very polite staff. We really enjoyed the terrace and garden. The hotel is located quite close to The Needles which is a big plus!

Not much places/ restaurants nearby. Should be better during summer time when beach cafes are open

Room with sea views. Amazing bath which my 2 year old swam around in and the shower was a dream. So clean, a fridge to store spare milk etc. plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. The bed was huge and so comfortable. There is a large guest lounge on the ground floor and honesty bar area. This place is really lovely, clean and characterful. Breakfast is vast, plentiful and delicious. My 2 year old really gorged out on a bowl of dry weetabix ( never before and never since) but I had what I could squeeze in. I went for Mother’s Day weekend as a single parent and was given a very large box of chocolates on the Sunday which made me cry! West Wight is very picturesque although driving around the whole island is an experience not to be missed. Loved this place, would definitely go back or even go to their new venture on the southern part of the island which they are renovating. As hosts these people know how to host.

Wow! This big corner plot Victorian property has been really beautifully renovated. The entire house is decorated with stunning farrow & ball colours. Our sea view bedrooms were beautiful. It feels like a home from home as you can’t hear other guests. the finishes to the bedrooms are super boutique hotel. The beds are to DIE for! The owners have thought of everything. The downstairs lounge & garden room leads to a beautiful lawn with chairs & umbrellas to have a drink & watch the sunset. LOCATION was exceptional it’s at the top of the path leading to Totland Bay. We had lunch at The Hut in Colwell Bay which is a 10 minute walk along the coastal path (you can do it in heels 😂). It’s a little Gem of a Hotel. We were left in peace to enjoy it & I absolutely love the honestly bar feels like you’re in your own home. 5 Stars & we would 100% come back. Gayle & Mark the owners are super helpful as are their staff. Thanks for making our family birthday celebrations so wonderful

Leaving the property is the only sad part of our trip

This is absolutely amazing place! Everything is well considered and organized, you can walk and enjoy sunset on a see shore, the owner will advise you the best restaurant with a wonderful view. Room is very cozy and staffed with many useful details.

May be blankets were too warm for me, though it is a tiny thing that doesn’t make difference in a whole great impression.
