Comfortable beds. Good view from the kitchen area. Friendly Staff.

Have been bitten several times by bed bugs during my stays. Water pressure in the showers is quite poor, but I have been told that is changing soon when there is a refurbishment

Super friendly staff, gave some recommendations on what to see around, hostel room has private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, location - right in the city center, next to the Swansea castle ruins. Definitely recommend this place.

Always my go to place, a good base for visiting The Mumbles, Rhossili beach, Gower. The best value for money, super helpful staff. Thanks Guys 🤗

Perfect location. The staff works hard to provide the best service. Adrian takes time to listen to customers like me. Somehow, he manages to work incredibly hard and provide great customer service that is professional, warm and unique. A man of many talents. Not sure how he does it but he gets everything done amazingly. Christian goes out of his way, to make sure each customer is comfortable in the way that matters individually. He will do great things in his life because of his professionalism and warmth. My food ended up getting thrown out by accident and Sunil returned everything for me even though he didn't have to. Sunil could have argued with me like many professionals do with customers. He had the strength to refrain and be professional which is not something everyone can do. A man of restraint, is a man that will go far in his life. Sunil, Adrian, and Christian being considerate helps, because I am a traveler on a limited income as a caregiver.

Having access to clean laundry can be a bit tricky at times when traveling. Staying at a hostel that conveniently has laundry services makes everything so much better. Summit, one of the manager professionals at the hostel did an incredible job with laundry. The clothes smelled amazing, were folded and well dried. He is professional with degrees that does his absolute best, in anything that he does. Because of symptoms from long haul COVID, sometimes I require rest. I am used to doing everything on my own. I worked in hospitality for almost 25 years. Now I suppose it's time to ask for help, when needed. I am grateful to be surrounded by professionals, that take pride in the work that they do. Summit also makes an amazing chicken recipe that he was kind enough to offer me a sample of. Unfortunately, I can't share the recipe with you. Maybe if you book a stay, he might share it with you too! Lol. The staff doesn't come into a room, unless they knock or announce themselves first, which is much appreciated and sometimes not the norm in various establishments unfortunately. They do their jobs promptly, then leave.

I love the kitchen area, the living room and my sleeping pods. I enjoy connecting, with the professionals that care for the hostel. Some of my most memorable moments: Reese kindly asking me to come into the hostel instead of waiting outside where it was much colder. He takes pride in working hard and he setup a beautiful Christmas tree. I look forward to hearing the great things he will do in the future. Summit helping me get my laundry done when I have been absolutely tired and homesick. He is always incredibly professional but still warm and approachable. Raven who makes time to connect with me while working hard no matter how tired she is. Hanisha who manages to balance a rigorous study load while staying professional and taking her coworkers and the resources of the hostel into consideration. Christian who offered me a pillow for my back, and extra blanket. If he is on break, he will rush to help you as soon as possible. Ablon is incredibly detailed and works hard to make sure her work is done perfectly. She helps wherever she can, even when her work hours are finished. For several years now, I've been a customer while Adrian has worked at the hostel. The quality of his work and customer service remains consistent, excellent and fair.

After every visit, I wish I could stay longer.

I enjoyed my stay. I’d wanted to write a few notes from a previous one, so will combine them, with my impressions. I found on these occasions, there was a real ‘can do attitude’ which I think does go a long way to being able to overlook certain physical characteristics of the property. As I did say previously. I liked the kitchen. And the views are pretty cool. There is a good variety of people, some more private than others, though I was pleasantly surprised when a formerly (completely) uncommunicative person, opened the door for me on my second visit! I think being somewhere like that where it’s comfortable but can bring challenges can be insightful in the environment, and there’s always people to bounce off. The main thing which helps you to be gracious is a kind of friendly vibe, that is there. That said, it is organised and has rules which I do like…as I am going to be chilling with a friend, who’s there to accompany me, whilst I help with someone, so I thought a private room would be best as it’s only a night, and I think to fully appreciate the communal atmosphere and mores, you need a bit longer. Pics are from both trips, but didn’t want to repeat from the first and I had a deadline so omitted to take pics!

That said, the closing time of the kitchen is a little early for me, and it is a bit of a quiet vibe after a certain time in the dorms which is understandable, but can feel a bit like you’re on a school journey! As I said a good vibe can go a long way, but perhaps some mould repellent can be useful in bathrooms.

We liked the price of the accommodation firstly. There were some compromises around that, such as the small size, but it was a comfortable room and good bathroom, we had a tv. The bed was sufficient for platonic friends to each have sufficient space in so far as sleeping. ——- We enjoyed the ability to use the communal kitchen, which we used for supper and I made a breakfast for my friend (or begun it). There’s a genuinely warm camaraderie, and the staff generally impose minimal restrictions, and in a kind way. ——- There’s a good show at the main gallery Vivian something featuring the work of Skin Phillip, a skateboard photographer, also the pic below shows a couple of bands playing at ’The Elysium’ which is a cool venue.

There was a lack of space at each side. Perhaps it would be best to push the bed to one corner, and let one person climb, as the space at each side was a bit small. Also something about the slats, apart from that, can’t complain! ✨✨✨

The staff were friendly and helpful, the lounge/kitchen area was great and had everything needed. The room was good - with enough space and plugs/lights by the beds. The location was great, I didnt find the area noisy at night. The wifi was good, check in and out was easy and simple

The room I was in was boiling hot, i was told that it was above a restaurant kitchen below - and it would always be boiling without having the window open - but if another person in the room didn't want the window open due to any chance of noise from outside (which happened one night) - then it was too hot too sleep, and several of us woke up very early in the morning unable to sleep. With the window open it was bearable, but still very warm
