Good location in interesting village. All staff were really helpful and lovely and the chef doing a great job, growing his own herbs, fresh produce. Lovely cold water bottles at table for dinner and breakfast. Room was spacious. Swifts living in the village were a real thrill.
Restaurant food seemed a bit pricey. A thought: Bedroom overhead lights were very bright, while the wall lights were too dim to read by. The room could do with a couple of chairs rather than having to sit on the bed. Maybe it’s because we’re northerners - we had to keep the windows open as the room was hot and stuffy.

In a lovely village. A shop and cute little cafe also attached with great area to sit out. The staff were excellent, especially Sue. She was so friendly and helpful. We were told ahead of time that the restaurant was closed our first two nights as new Chef and menu were about to launch. We ate out on our first night but on the second night we were offered a complimentary dinner as Chef was doing a tasting with staff. This was so kind and we really appreciated it. The food was absolutely delicious and we met the Chef, James. It was great to talk to him and he was very passionate about his food. We booked for the next night at the restaurant and the food was equally good. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend Whichcote Arms. Thanks to the Landlord for being so generous to us, James for his fabulous food and Sue for her warm and friendly welcome and helpfulness.
Can’t fault anything

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at the Whichcote Arms. The room was lovely and we had an extremely comfortable stay. There is a brilliant pub downstairs which had a good bit of atmosphere and delicious food, as well as a shop and cafe as part of the farm-shop complex. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good selection of choices. However the highlight were the extremely friendly and welcoming staff, particularly the manager Beth who worked very hard to ensure we had a great experience. Thank you!

We booked the Whichcote Arms for our close family to stay at during the weekend of our wedding at Aswarby Rectory. It is a fantastic location as it is so close, only a two minute drive. We had planned to have pre-wedding drinks and nibbles at the hotel the first night however unfortunately as the kitchen was closed for all of August this left us in a bit of a pinch with elderly relatives staying. Sue was very apologetic and accommodating and allowed family to order food in and eat this in the dining area as they were unable to provide any food from their own kitchen. The staff were lovely and we had a great pre wedding drink-up in their lovely beer garden. Family report the rooms were lovely and good breakfast each morning.

We stayed at WhichCote Arms due to the venue's proximity to a wedding we were attending. It is a high-quality venue which I believe has been recently renovated and is very clean. The Owners and staff are helpful and hands-on and there was a fantastic cooked breakfast offered daily in the gastro pub downstairs (which was also lovely for dinner). The venue also has a lovely pub garden, along with a cafe and shop on the premises with Internet where I managed to get some work done in the sunshine before getting ready.
Very minor potential areas of improvement would be the installation of blackout curtains/blinds for those who would like the option to sleep off a hangover the morning after and didn't bring eye masks. I'd also suggest adding a hook to the back of the door (or elsewhere) to hang up jackets etc.

The Whichcote Arms is only 30 minutes away from the A1 at Grantham, so was an ideal stop over when we were traveling to see relatives. The hotel is the hub of the village of Osbournby. Adjacent is the village shop, craft shop and tea room. All were being very well used on the day we were there. As for the hotel itself we could not have asked for more. The staff, especially Sue, were friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable - super comfy bed and very quiet for a good night's sleep. There's a delightful beer garden to enjoy a pre- meal drink and the food we ordered was exceptional, all beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. The breakfast was fantastic, all made to order with local produce. I'd thoroughly recommend the Whichcote Arms, and look forward to returning in the near future.
All was perfect

The Whichcote Arms exceeded our expectations, it was situated perfectly for a wedding that we were attending. The staff were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much for them. The food was excellent, we had dinner and breakfast there. A good choice on the menu. The bar although small was well stocked. In the rear courtyard there is a cafe, craft shop and a local shop. We had a lunch in the cafe that had a good choice of sandwiches & cakes. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
Nothing - all was great

lovely hosts quaint building , cosy bar , good breakfast. good parking. Large bathroom with great shower
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the evening of our visit, but we had a very good meal in another local outlet. Our room was classed as a deluxe double And whilst it was clean & had good bedding it was very small. no room for bedside units . clothes hanging arrangements limited. Also could hear noisy guests in adjoining room.

Loved the location for an event I needed to attend. Very accommodating staff, comfy room and a good breakfast. Leanne was amazing, very friendly and kindly offered to drive us to the family event I was attending.
Unfortunately I stayed a Monday/Tuesday when the restaurant doesn’t open. I don’t have a car and being a small village there was nothing in walking distance although I was advised I could order in and eat in the restaurant. The bar shut at 9pm, and being from Scotland was a surprise!

Everything!! Really friendly and helpful staff. The decor is high end. The food was fabulous and a super choice of wines. The place was immaculately clean. The rooms were so peaceful and we couldn’t hear any noise from the bar at all. The price does not reflect how good this place is. We were so pleasantly surprised. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Genuinely nothing we didn’t like and we are very fussy. I just felt sorry for the people who couldn’t get a table in the restaurant as they were missing out on a treat. Booking is definitely recommended.
