Gabriella on reception when I arrived was lovely. She was covering the bar, reception and serving meals on her own and did a great job. I had a lovely room, very large and comfortable.
This is an old building so this comment should be taken in context. I recently had a hip replacement and found the floor in the bedroom very uneven. Normally this wouldn't have bothered me at all but as I was on crutches it was a bit awkward.

We were staying here to facilitate getting from Cambridgeshire to Scotland/Yorkshire, so we didn't experience the on site food or meet any of the staff in person, but we got a text a few days before to confirm our booking, we explained we were arriving late/leaving early, instructions were sent which were straight forward and text communication was great. We had a breakfast left for us to have in the morning in our room with a little vat of milk/cereal/fruit and fruit juice which was perfect. Room was clean, comfy, tv excellent, bathroom lovely and room was warm, parking felt safe and secure round the back and was dog friendly, would definitely stay here again.
Only sad not to experience the bar/restaurant and meet the staff in person.

The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. There was 3 heaters/radiators in the room so it was lovely and warm when we arrived. Even though there was a busy road at the front of the hotel I didn’t notice the traffic noise and had a good nights sleep. The shower and bathroom were very clean and the back view from the window in the room was a field and in the distance we saw a plane take off and sky divers jumping from a plane which was wonderful to see against the sunset. Breakfast next morning had a good selection and the full English was very hot and tasted delicious. It was great value for £10 each and the room was great value for the price as well
Everything was perfect except when we arrived and went through the main door we saw a bar on the left but wasn’t too sure where reception was. Maybe a sign saying reception this way would of meant a staff member didn’t need to come through and find us and show us the way while we wandered around the restaurant area trying to find the reception desk

Lovely quirky building full of character, loved it, Staff very helpful showed us to our room, we even had a four poster bed with a chandelier no less! First rate food, i had the steak home made pie, lovely! English breakfast was really good. If your going to the Nene Valley Steam Train site this is by far the best place to stay.
nothing, but you would need to drive further up the A1 for any action! but is near by for the steam trains

Right what can I say about the Sibson inn hotel Tottally a golden gem, found this place by mistake and now it's my favourite place to stay when working near by. The rooms a spacious comfortable, clean, and i always sleep well The food is fresh good value for money and the chef can cook amazing food, 10/10 every time, The Sibson has a nice little bar area with good drinks on draft it's a nice atmosphere to be in but the best part of this hotel is the staff, really friendly and welcoming, a really nice group of people that are there to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, I have to mention one of the staff members call Leo, this guy works so hard on running this hotel, always available to help and an absolute pleasure to be around, to see and be greeted by a friendly smiling face after a hard day's work makes your stay at the Sibson worth every penny, if your looking for a place to stay for the night with comfortable rooms, good food a nice little bar for a few drinks and welcoming staff this is the place to go ... 100% 5 star rating from me.

The staff, all one of them, Bret, seemed to be on the reception, behind the bar, taking meal orders and waiting on tables. There was a cook somewhere as well I suspect, unless Bret was doing that as well. The food was basically pub food at average pub prices. Well cooked and presented and hot. The orders for food were taken promptly and produced fairly quickly. This was done with a great deal of cheerfulness and despite running around with other customers orders took time to offer help when asked. We left before breakfast so can not comment even though Bret was happy to make up a takeaway for us we declined as there was no way to keep them cool in the room. .
We were in room 18. For one night. The WiFi was woefully poor. Only being able to connect when by the door and crashing if you moved in to the room itself. It is good in the bar dining area however. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit of a let down as the bath obviously had a hole in it near the plug hole which had been plugged poorly with silicone. If they were going for 1980’s shabby chic then they succeeded. If not then the room was a bit tired and very hot.

Amazing. The building dates back 350 years and is therefore FULL of character. Don't expect your room to be a uniform white box the same as all others because it won't be. There is character and quirkiness here, and I loved that. There is plenty of parking on site, and if the weather is good space to sit out. My room was large and well equipped with tea making. Lots of plug sockets, and even USB ports. Friendly helpful staff. I had a comfortable and quiet night's sleep. There was a good cooked English breakfast, with vegetarian items cooked to my order. This is a good place to stay for Rutland Water, Burghley House, Stamford, and Peterborough, as well as Barnsdale Gardens and some National Trust Houses.
These are not complaints, just advice. The Sibson Inn is on the side of the A1 road, and you need to precisely put it into your Sat Nav because if you drive past it is quite a long way round to get back to it. There is some traffic noise, so keep your window shut, but I slept well. I will return here.

Personal nature of the place, very kind and friendly staff. The property is right next to A1, but you really didn't hear the traffic, and was easy to get around by car.
Cost of taxis 😞 it's a great location by car, but if you need a taxi to Stamford it can be expensive (consider not drinking! But drive instead)

Lovely quaint old property.accommodation in a lovely courtyard. Good food in the restaurant.
Unfortunately on our first night at the property we went out to be with friends in Peterborough and when we tried to return to the accommodation the A1 had been completely closed for road works leaving us totally stranded on the other side of the road and no way to get through. We had to get alternative accommodation. Apparently the hotel had not been notified of the closure and there were no signs advising of the closure it was not their fault but did spoil our stay
