Check in was great and the staff are so friendly, taking the time to chat and make a fuss of the dog. The room is small but well appointed and feels secure with the integrated key pad lock. Lovely linens. Dinner on the first night was good although the restaurant was almost empty which was a shame, as it lacked atmosphere. It's great to have the access at the rear, without traipsing through the bar. Location is good, nice and close to Edinburgh without the cost. It was pretty desolate when we were there so we probably didn't see the best of it.
I hadn't understood that breakfast was essentially just in the room upon arrival so it's pre packaged pastries, cereal etc but with fresh milk and orange juice.

Juniperlea was a perfect stop for us not wanting to pay high priced stays to visit Edinburgh, but still being close enough to “pop in” and in the right direction of A1(s). The property was clean and cosy. The tv worked really well and allowed us to fully unwind. Great selection in the room for breakfast and incredible how quiet it is at night! Our pooch loved the farm track out the back for Walkies.
Liked everything! Only suggestion as a fan sleeper is a fan! Haha. But that’s a me problem, not Juniper! :-)

The inn itself is beautiful and quaint, nestled in the countryside just outside of Edinburgh. Graham and Carly, our hosts, were so friendly and charming. We actually accidentally kept them past closing because we were having such a fun conversation! The room is larger than any B&B I've stayed in and the offerings at the restaurant are fresh and delicious. It's easy enough to get to Edinburgh as the local bus picks you up right in front of the inn. They are currently building an addition that will boast 3 more lovely rooms, including a bridal suite, and a wedding venue. We plan to return to stay whenever we are back in the area. Just a couple things to keep in mind... if you plan to stay late in the city, the last bus back leaves at 17:00( 7pm) so you will need to hire a car and the inn is more of a B&L/D. If you're looking for a full English or Scottish breakfast, a 15 min walk down the road is a cafe serving up what you need. Thank you so much, Graham and Carly! We hope to see you stateside.
That we were unable to stay longer.

Great interior design - so much thought has gone into renovation and decoration of this Inn - just beautiful ! Great food at the restaurant too !
Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and there was no staff available on the premises and the owners didn’t answer their phones…. We, as guests, had to call for the fire brigade ourselves, in order to take care of the situation ….. definitely stressful for the guests and NOT an ideal situation !

Lovely cosy country atmosphere, beautifully decorated and well presented, attention to deal in the restaurant/pub area. Pleasant small corridor to the bedrooms. Considering its beside a main road, there was minimal noise from the traffic. Continental breakfast in the bedroom was great, with a good selection and nice fresh orange juice. We stayed here after our visit to the Royal Highland show it was only a 30-minute drive, which was very easy to find. We arrived 10 minutes before they were about to close the kitchen but they accommodate use and let us order a meal which was beautiful cooked. Service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

An absolute gem! The Juniperlea is one of the best places we've ever stayed. Greeted with a warm friendly welcome. The room was immaculate and the little touches made everything perfect. We even had a little matt for our shoes, mini fridge stocked with goodies (ham, cheese, yogurts, milk) for brecky including bottled water. Pastries, cereal, tea, coffee etc all included. The towels were so large and fluffy, (not bog standard hotel white range) and a massive walk in shower. The bed was super cosy and everything, and I mean everything was spotlessly clean. The restaurant is lovely, beautifully decorated, the food was yummy and the service was fantastic. Thank you for a super stay. We will definitely return again when in the area.
Nothing at all!

It's our 2nd stay at the Juniper Inn and we'd gladly stay here again. Carly the hostess is lovely, friendly, bubbly and can't do enough for you. There is ample parking, the pub / restaurant is beautifully decorated with a fab atmosphere. The food is amazing! The rooms are warm and comfortable with everything provided as expected and the bonus of a fridge. We would 110% recommend staying here and we are looking forward to returning again soon.

Carly was lovely and very accommodating for my last minute stay due to no power from the recent storm. The pod was made up lovely with continental breakfast available and the hot tub was a perfect bonus to relax after a stressful few days. Carly also let me stay an additional night when I went home to find my power was still off, she let me stay slightly later than the check out time and it just gave me a place to stay warm and get a good night's sleep.

The room was beautifully decorated and cosy. It was in a wonderful quiet location 25 minutes from Edinburgh and very well priced with free parking. Comfortable beds and a nice continental breakfast supplied in the mini fridge in the room which I also managed to use to store the fruit I brought with me.
The only negative was the electric shower, the flow was quite poor. However wouldn’t put me off going back there as everything else made up for it.

Hosts were welcoming. Breakfast and meals at the inn were excellent. Nice quiet location with a good view from the pod. Hot tub was available and looked inviting although we didn't have time to use it.
I had a lot of problems with the wifi. An additional damage deposit after paying for the stay was a bit unexpected, and the communication through the Booking website was initially confusing but we sorted it out.
