The property was lovely - I didn't realise we'd be in the main house when we booked but as we were the only guests, that was fine. The owner was very friendly and everything we needed was available to include shampoo in the shower. The breakfast choices were amazing and my husband was delighted with the full English that was included. I had a bespoke breakfast which was cooked perfectly.

As we set off early, we didn't receive the email about the key lock entry but as it happened, we rang anyway to give the owner our ETA and she told us then.

Absolutely lovely inn. Great location with easy access to day trips into the Cotswold villages. Our charming hostess Isobel made us feel so welcome. She gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants, made sure our room was comfortable, and cooked to order a wonderful breakfast. Special shout out to sweet Doogie who entertained us with his ball.

We loved everything about this stay!

Location was perfect as just a stone's throw away from a family function. Electric entry gates to secure private parking. Lovely room with two comfy chairs, tv, tea making facilities. Super view. Extremely comfy beds. Amazing freshly cooked breakfast, with a choice of sitting in sunny conservatory or cosy dining room. Everything spotlessly clean.

We would have liked a bottle opener. We were given a small bottle of beer after the family party to have in the evening but unable to open it. We had a number for Isobel if anything was required but it didn't really warrant troubling her in the evening. It didn't impact on our stay, of course!

The photos really didn't do the room justice, it was a good size, exceptionally clean and the bed was very very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous - the fresh fruit salad was so good and the cooked breakfasts used quite obviously quality ingredients, generous portions and absolutely beautifully cooked. The host is lovely - that rare quality of being both friendly and professional. Would recommend without hesitation!

I struggle to find anything we didn't like - if I'm being picky then the TV was a little small for the room and my husband would have liked the option of black pudding with his Full English. However these are truly minor details!

The property was ideally located down the road from the wedding venue we were attending. Access was easy & the owner accommodated our request to check in a bit earlier to freshen up before the event. Breakfast was extensive & delicious. The room was comfortable with pleasant views over countryside

The ability to check-in late. The room was warm and comfy. Breakfast was lovely. Isobel was friendly and helpful.

The closeness of the bathroom door to the bed. The socket for the bed was behind the middle of the bed but luckily it was wrought iron so was accessible

I couldn't fault The Poplars, the communication from Isobel was brilliant, allowing us to check in early. The room was beautifully decorated, the facilities were great. Breakfast was excellent and the view from our room was fab. I would highly recommend 👌

Nice welcome, good facilities amazing location and good food! Our host was extremely helpful and made us very comfortable. What a great English Breakfast! Open countryside through your windows and handy pubs for evening meals.

This was a comfortable triple room in a gorgeous home! The owners were kind and helpful, and cooked a nice breakfast! Plenty of parking. We knew this when we booked but the location isn’t very central and you need a car (it didn’t matter to us).

The breakfast was a bit slow.

The location is set in a nice tranquil spot, fresh countryside area and nice and quiet. The host was super friendly and attentive to our needs during our stay. Breakfast was very tasty and just what we needed before heading off for the day.
