Comfortable room, good facilities. Rooms was a good size. Bar area was a good space, very relaxed with a good atmosphere. Good selection of beers. Staff were friendly. Excellent location for what I needed. Surroundings were very quiet and you couldn't here much from the outside. Will book again on the next trip.
Room was quite cold in the night, you aren't able to change the room temperature. The green exit sign above the door was a nuisance in the night, it was very bright and would wake me up if I turned to face it. Seems a bit OTT for the size of the room. Room 10 although I suspect all rooms to be like this.

The building and room is gorgeous and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the pub was not pen for dinner when we arrived on the Sunday but we knew that would be the case. The pub had an excellent atmosphere too. My daughter left her teddies behind and the posted them back to us...really kind of them!
The only complaint was that we could not turn the radiator in the bathroom off and because of that the whole room felt a little too warm for us; also a pity for the environment. If we had asked the staff they would have come to help I am sure but the pub had closed by the time we decided to ask.

Loddon is a lovely village, we stayed as it was close to the wedding venue we were attending. The rooms were styled well and comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was very good and although it looks like a set menu, you can choose the items you would like. There was also a good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt and juices. It was nice to see the pub and restaurant so busy.
Not being allowed to eat in your room, which is understandable but not always practical. After a long journey you don’t always want to get ready to go out.

This was a fabulous place to stay. We were delighted to find we were in an adjacent building with its own entrance from where we parked the car. The room was delightful, comfortable beds, lots of space, great bathroom. The staff were very pleasant, always keen to help despite being very busy at times. Breakfast was a highlight with the best bacon I have ever tasted. The village is delightful with an express bus from the hotel door to Norwich taking only 23 mins.
We were a little surprised to find the dining room closed one evening. Not sure if this was for a function or is regular. Other places very near though so not a big problem.

Room was lovely and warm on a very cold night, bed was comfy, room was clean. Staff were friendly. Building full of history and tastefully decorated. Ample easy parking, right in the centre of a lovely village. Opposite a small convenience store and easy walking distance of pubs and restaurants/takeaways. Well signposted.
The room is in a separate annex opposite the main building, and because the blinds don't quite fit the windows, people in the pub can see into the ground floor room (not great when you're trying to get changed, go to bed, be alone as a female etc). It's also quite noisy with the traffic on the road and from the pub (obviously this quietens down after midnight) and the kitchen fans whirring. The bedroom door had quite a gap under it, meaning the bright light from the hallway entrance illuminates the room throughout the night - so take an eye mask. Breakfast room would benefit from some background music as it was uncomfortably quiet, with people speaking in hushed whispers, trying not to crunch their toast too noisily (!)

Beautiful, large (superior twin) room, super comfortable beds, great bathroom & shower, lovely furnishings, very clean, quiet location, delicious breakfast. lovely staff. Top quality. Convenient for Norwich.
Beautiful place, but due to freezing conditions room was unfortunately chilly, with only thin duvets on beds, & no blankets. Also, the radiator in bathroom only warm at bottom. Had to ask a few times and wait a while for extra duvets (unable to change thermostat), but the extra duvets did the trick. No soap to use if you wanted a bath as soap dispenser fixed in shower. However, would still rate as a top place, just needed 'cosy' in wintry conditions. Would return as overall very good quality.

Check in and check out were both warm and efficient. The room was clean and had everything that we needed for our weekend stay. The room was clean and tidy with a well proportioned layout in both the bedroom and the bathroom. There was a nice selection of teas/coffees and a dairy alternative was provided. There is a car park and, whilst it got busy during the evenings as it is used by pub/restaurant guests, residents and local bowls players, we managed to park each night that we were there. The breakfast service and food were both very good.
Check in time of 4pm is later than most other hotels and impacted our plans. The breakfast food selection is somewhat limited e.g. no meats/cheeses/pastries in the continental section, hot food essentially variants of 'Full English' or eggs, and so the menu could perhaps be refreshed/updated.

I have stayed here before. I have M.S. and a large shower and single storey accommodation is essential. We'd originally booked the same room as we had on our previous visit, but was given an alternative room upon arrival. This room was more spacious, an upgrade as such, with a very large shower in the ensuite as well as a bath. Bigger tv, comfy settee, more furniture for clothes storage, dressing mirrors , ironing facilities, a well received option upon arrival. I would recommend the Swan at Loddon whole heartedly.
There wasn't anything I was unhappy with. Our room was near to the main road, but there was no disturbances, traffic noises or anything else that affected our stay. I could park right outside our room, safely in a well lit area. Again , I had a wonderful stay.

Very welcoming staff. Good , fairly priced food & drink. Cleanliness - they were clearing away leaves from the outdoor area on Boxing Day! Nice touches - Prosecco with breakfast on Xmas day and gift basket. Biggest and best croissants I’ve ever had - including in France! Easy to park. Lovely village for a walk around. Good coffee machine in room. Lovely atmosphere in the bar. Walk in shower and ground floor room worked well for elderly mother in law.
No full length mirror in our room and light was quite dim for doing make up.

Location is good. Parking is good. Personnel are very welcoming and helpful. We ate in the upstairs restaurant and all of us enjoyed the courses we chose. The bedroom was a really good size and simply furnished but very nice - less is more in my book! The room was very clean and nicely decorated in country colours as was the rustic breakfast room which was very pleasant.
I guess I was a little surprised at the bar area, its very traditional and probably not to my taste, ir quite what I expected. However, it was popular. The upstairs restaurant has carpet on the floor. As there are no hotel rooms below I can't see the point of that, I think these days, you need hard flooring. The door to access the 4 bedrooms in the outer building was very stiff so could do with a service otherwise you could find yourself struggling if arriving back late, when personnel are no longer freely available.
