Bed was very comfortable. Staff were amazing, very friendly. The owner addressed me by first name on arrival which made it very personal and welcoming. Such a nice chap as well. went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Had a meal in the pub and the food was excellent, try the homemade chips, better than any fast food place. Perfect accommodation for a short stay.
Shower head and cubicle wasn't great, cubicle was a bit cramped, give this an upgrade and the whole place would be perfect. Whole area seemed to be a bit of a WiFi dead zone, signal kept dropping in my room. Other than that my experience staying here was great and would stay here again if in the area, definitely recommend.

Breakfast was excellent and we arranged the time for breakfast with the owner. We were made to feel very welcome and the atmosphere in the Inn was great. A good menu so we decided to dine in for our evening meal. This was a good choice, the food was excellent and the service was great. I would recommend the Lord Nelson Inn to anyone looking for a B&B in a good location, serving great food, quiet and comfortable rooms and very convenient for hiking
I couldn’t find a hairdryer in my room and had to borrow one from my brother who was also staying at the Inn

We have stayed here before and as always we had a lovely friendly welcome. WE had out evening meal on the Friday night which was delicious and great value for money. Good selection of beers, and gins.
The only thing we didn't like really was the very early breakfast. 8:30 is early for a Saturday and Sunday morning, however we did understand that they were extra busy with lunch time meals due to it being mothers day, and therefore they needed to free up the kitchen.

Stayed in the back room overlooking the beer garden and the gorgeous countryside. Fantastic view. Room had everything I needed. Very clean and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable. THE BREAKFAST WAS INCREDIBLE. The nicest breakfast I’ve ever had cooked for me by anyone. Darren the Landlord is brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If my wife was knocking up food of that calibre for me I guess I would be very happy and relaxed myself! The pub itself is cosy and also has Sky Sports. The Biltong is also on point
Couldn’t fault a thing

We're normally wary of pub-with-rooms type hotels but the Lord Nelson proved to be an excellent place for us to stay. The host was extremely welcoming and everything we needed / requested was fully taken care of. He ordered us a taxi, made sure we had a table in the restaurant (food and service was excellent) and made us feel at home. All the other staff we met were also very friendly. We will certainly look to book at this hotel again.

Arrived about 8pm at night, met by landlord who was very easy to get on with. After viewing my room was made very welcome in the bar by staff and locals and had a wonderful early breakfast to set me up for the day cooked by the lovely landlady. Will definitely go back if in the area again.

I was made to feel very welcome from the moment I walked through the door to the time I left. The owners and staff were very friendly and attentive. (The locals were friendly too 😀) The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the food was tasty and home made. I would definitely return Thank you

when we arrived, Darren made us very welcome , showed us to our room ( which was brilliant, nice and big lots of tea and coffee provided the location of a small village with fantastic views in all directions was ideal. After about an hour we popped down to the pub for a meal which was really tasty and good value for money. the decor in the pub what with the log fire and traditional old fashioned pub atmosphere made it better next morning the breakfast was good and hearty not too mention very tasty and filling. definitely think about staying there again for our next visit next September for Clitheroe MOD event.
cannot think of anything

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, nice lass behind the bar, room is next door to the pub, first class and would stay again if the need arose.
Only issue would be if you didn't drive but as I do it was fine, if you like your walks then this is the place for you.

Darren and Angie are very welcoming and accommodating hosts who make guests feel thoroughly at home. The Lord Nelson is great village local, with bedrooms next door, and surrounded by excellent walking countryside. We enjoyed a very good dinner there and a delicious 'full English' breakfast.
Nothing.
