The hosts are wonderful, kind and helpful. The breakfast is varied, delicious and filling. The whole place is immaculately clean and obviously cared for, and just the view in itself will give you peace. The room was spacious and well lit, and despite the bathroom not being en suite (of which I was warned almost immediately) it was for our exclusive use.
I would like to point out that *nothing* is bad per se, but if I were forced to find something I would say that the twin room (the one I stayed in) has tremendously bouncy mattresses... again, not terrible, just keep it in mind if you have back issues. That said, I did not suffer any missed sleep because of this xD

Inverness was our base to reach different places and distilleries in the Highlands (Speyside), and Doura Lodge was just fantastic for the 4 nigths. The owners are so polite and kind (they really make the difference in Doura Lodge), and the time during breakfast (excellent, haggis and the best scrambled eggs ever) was perfect to talk about ourselves and the places around, to get some suggestions to visit and to enjoy the view from their dining area. The room is large and cosy, with a breathless view of the valley and a complimentary small botttle of Tomatin Legacy. Wish to come back some day.
We should have stayed more, for sure.

We had an amazing experience, Josef and Emma were fantastic hosts. Everything was perfect. Would definately recommend to anyone travelling to Inverness. Breakfast was delicious, I felt like a king every morning. The room was comfortable and view was sensational.
Honestly, the only think I didn't like was when it came to the day to leave. We had such an awesome experience that leaving made us feel like we didn't want to. You will love it, it's a great place, so nothing that we'd change.

The hosts were very welcoming, our room was delightful and the breakfast was superb. Great recommendations and directions from the hosts for nearby places to eat. I wish we’d booked for longer than one night.
Finding Doura can be a little tricky but if you have satnav, put the postcode in and it will get you there. A friend and I shared a room. Although we had ‘dedicated’ bathroom facilities (not an ensuite), the bathroom and toilet were separate rooms and off areas potentially used by other guests.

What an amazing place! Stunning location! We stayed in the room with the balcony. The room is very comfy, and we loved our view. Very quiet and peaceful! Breakfast was freshly prepared, and the coffee was one of the best I had in Scotland. What a great way to start the day. Emma and Josef are very nice, and we love to just sit and talk during breakfast. They are the best hosts anyone can ask for. We hope to be back there someday.

Great quiet location in a tranquil country setting. Around 20 mins drive from Inverness therefore essential to have a car. Easy hassle free parking link. Emma and Josef were great hosts and cooked up some delicious breakfasts. Highly recommended if you are touring the east coast of Scotland.
Nothing really, everything was great.

This was the perfect choice of accommodation for our sightseeing journey around the Inverness area of northern Scotland. The location is right beside the Culloden Battlefied and close to Cawdor, Nairn and just a short distance from Inverness. The room was clean, comfortable and included so many thoughtful touches by the hosts, Emma and Josef. They cooked us the most sensational breakfast each morning while we chatted with them about what to see and do around the local area before departing for our day of exploration. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay with such hospitable and charming people to look after us. Don’t hesitate to book this really special experience and thank you Emma and Josef for making our time in your little corner of Scotland such a memorable and enjoyable visit.
Nothing. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay.

My experience at Doura Lodge was the best! I planned to visit Inverness with my wife for some time, and picking the right place wasn't simple. Fortunately, I can state I made the best decision when I booked there. Since before arriving, my interaction with Emma, the host, was easy and friendly. When I got there, I was impressed first with the view, then the property and finally the spacious and cosy room! But the best thing was probably the breakfast. And I don't refer to the food only, which was superbly prepared, but also to our time with Emma and Josef and with the other guests. I can say my wife and I felt at home during that holiday. I wish Emma and Josef all the best and hope to return there someday.

Emma and Josef are excellent hosts! Really wonderful people and enjoyed chatting with them! They were very organised and also very flexible to meet our needs. Breakfast was wonderful and there were so many choices! Emma was a real dear to cater for my wife's allergies. The room was very spacious, comfortable and with a good view of the nearby countryside. The area is very quiet and peaceful and also close to Culloden Moor, Inverness and other locations with a car. We would definitely stay here if we visit Scotland again!
There is nothing to say. Everything was more than fine.

Wonderful peaceful location with lovely views from the window, owners were super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay arriving from Inverness airport if you want peace and quiet as its not too far! Shower was great
The loo which was private for the twin room was quite far away for those who need a night time visit!
