This hotel is in the middle of Haltwhistle on national cycle route 72. Despite having a room overlooking the main street it was very quiet. The room was pleasant enough, not exactly massive or exceptional but fine. I could not figure out how to get a good temp in the shower, or the basin taps but appreciated the heated towel rail which I used to dry washed clothing. The bar food and beer was good as was breakfast. A good sized bike store is available but does not include any locking points or available sockets. The hotel kindly allowed me to charge my e-bike within the hotel.
The only real negative for me was the room price which seemed expensive relative to the room.

Great little stop off in our way home from Scotland. Every single member of staff was so friendly and welcoming. Had a great meal (the veggie lasagne was the best I’ve ever had). Fabulous breakfast too. Bedroom on the small side. It’s a shame that we couldn’t add a tip to our food bill last night. We don’t carry cash. We noticed a few other customers asking to add a tip on the card machine and were not able to do so. This is a great shame as the staff deserve to get tips because they are doing a great job. Would also like to add that £13.45 is extortionate for a tuna jacket potato. Would never order this at that price point.

The Manor is an excellent spot for a foray on to Hadrians Wall, and my partner and I booked our stay here in order to do just that. It is always a healthy sign walking in and seeing plenty of customers eating, and after checking we dropped our bags in our room - we went down and ordered dinner, and were pleased to see generous walkers portions as well as some fantastic flavours. The steak, in particular, was superbly cooked. Good selection of beers and there is a knowledgeable staff if you want to try something different. The room was impeccably clean, and despite being above a pub, there wasn't much sound bleeding through from below - an issue with many places I've been before. I did find the room very warm, which my partner loved, but sleeping with the window cracked solved that. Breakfast was a real pleasure with a selection of freshly cooked food, as well as croissants/toast/cereals - the usual fare. The fact you get a cafetiere was a bonus (as a bit of a coffee snob!) because filter coffee doesn't have those same rich flavours from oils you get when hot pouring over a generous amount of grounds. Overall, highly recommended.

The Manor House was absolutely fantastic – a true pub inn with so much charm. The roaring fire added to the cozy atmosphere, and it’s wonderfully dog-friendly. In fact, the team wasn’t just dog-friendly – they were simply friendly to everyone, including me, making the whole experience even better. The breakfast was delicious and generous, with plenty of options included. I couldn’t decide between a breakfast bap and porridge, so I ordered both – and they were great! The room was spotless and comfortable, offering everything needed for a relaxing stay. The location is perfect. The little town has everything you could wish for: a quirky bric-a-brac shop, a hairdresser, a Co-op, a lovely fish and chip shop, and even a swimming pool. It was truly an awesome experience from start to finish!
nothing to add here.

Lovely area, steeped in history, excellent access to hadrians wall. Amazing open log fire, evening food was very nice, homemade and hot. Staff very good despite multiple powercuts. Extra blankets a nice touch on bed. Would definitely stay again. Extra tea and coffee facilities in room would be fab 👌
Staff rushing around and running in the restaurant at breakfast, and our order was forgotten and had to be taken again. Rushed and panicked feeling wasn't relaxed meal. Egg white was runny on breakfast (not pleasant) and burnt toast. Mattresses very firm but that's personal preference as I prefer soft and comfy.

This was a fabulous place to stay, especially if you’re going to walk Hadrians Wall. We didn’t expect how lovely the inn would be and the staff was so sweet and accommodating. The room was small but there was more than enough room in the restaurant and bar downstairs, the food was fresh and all homemade…and as vegetarians, we had a huge selection. They even ran out and got some oat milk for my homemade porridge! I give it a 15 out of 10!!!!!
The staff, the location, the cleanliness, the food was delicious!

The hotel is right in the centre of Haltwhistle and a short walk to the train station - we spent an evening in Hexham. Close to Hadrians Wall and roman forts. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts were great with a good choice and staff were lovely and friendly and efficient. As we were 2 couples, iIt was great having a self-contained apartment rsther than 2 separate hotel rooms so that we had the communal space of the kitchen and a comfortable lounge.
Bedrooms were very small and had single beds - I thought from the information they were doubles - and the ensuite was dated - the toilet was very low to the floor!

Travelled to Haltwhistle to attend a ghost investigation at the nearby castle. Staff were very friendly and attentive to me sitting in the restaurant by myself whilst waiting for a friend. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable. I had seen the hotel in Four in a bed on the day I arrived so was hoping it would live up to the standards and I was not disappointed. Staff very friendly helping me with how to get into the hotel at 3am, no issues at all. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very spacious, thoughtfully decorated. Little details like quality bedlinen and towels. Water was piping hot and heating was very efficient. It was lovely to have the facilities available for use and it was very comfortable - I had some excellent nights sleep! We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was good home cooking. A lovely breakfast was included every morning and this was everything you wanted to fuel up for the day. An absolute delight and I would happily book again.
It was a little cold in the en-suite

We paid extra for the larger room - number 8. Comfy large bed. The room and bathroom were clean. Large bathroom with his and her sinks and the well lit mirrors was a bonus. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. We had dinner one night which was very good. Young staff were excellent. Limited parking, first come first served - about 4 spaces to the side.
Could hear the person next door snoring. Think it might have been the front door slamming downstairs until the pub closed. Pub is old so expected there to be some noise and perhaps we didn't drink enough!
