January 2025
Excellent is the only word my wife and I can think off to describe The Ring Pub. Together with our two border collie dogs we booked in for a quiet January weekend away to celebrate my wife's birthday and we were most certainly not disappointed. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who took us to our room for the weekend. Now we have to say we have stayed in many different pubs, hotels and b&b's and never have we ever been greeted with such a warm comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Everything was neat and tidy with a fantastically comfortable bed. The bed linen was neat and crisp and perfectly made. There wasn't a spot of dust anywhere (top marks for the lady cleaner). On the sideboard was a extensive selection of tea's and coffee's but oh dear no milk. That is until we spotted the little fridge next to the sideboard containing a bottle of milk and two bottles of water. Fresh milk, yes fresh, not the tiny little plastic things you usually get left with, but lovely fresh milk. In the bathroom a bath mat and two of the softest bath towels ever. Like the bedroom the bathroom was spotless. Not even the smallest dot of black mold anywhere. The double shower cubicle was walled with thoroughly modern wet wall, which is for us, excellent, as we have the same at home. Even the shower head was spotless, something many establishments miss regularly. It was clear the entire bedroom and bathroom had been properly looked after by the lady cleaner. Let's go to the bar now. Like our room the bar and eating area was spotless. Again greeted by the lady who showed us to our room with the biggest of smiles, and we booked in for an evening meal. Not only that she told us our 4paws would be more than welcome to accompany us whilst we ate. 7pm that evening we were shown to our table and politely ask what we would like to drink.

Lovely room, lots of tea and coffee selection with bottle of milk in mini fridge, lovely idea but milk was off, we love a tea first thing in the morning, not used night before, would have loved tiny uht milks as a back up when things go wrong. Lovely smelling shower and hand gel. Nice side door to rooms so didn’t have to go through pub. Could not fault the full English breakfast cooked to perfection, second morning as good as first. Did not try evening meals but looked lovely and very busy. We used to have a motorhome and pitch’s look lovely place to stay.
Double bed was too soft for us.

Great accommodation, room has all you need and more. Coffee /tea tray with many choices and couple biscuits. Bathroom very nicely done with modern features and great shower. Bed was comfy and had a very good sleep, no noise disturbance. Considering the cold temperatures the room was warm and you have an additional fan heater if needed (kept radiator at 3 and was more than enough). Really liked the bar/restaurant area, the stands of goodies and atmosphere. Very nice touch with pictures of Anglesey/Wales throughout establishment.
Cooked breakfast very tasty, tried different ones and all been nicely done and qualitative ingredients - let down by pastries, stale taste and feeling to them. Mold by the room window, only noticed it when collected my belongings. Water left in the kettle which think was a genuine miss as everything else was spotless and tidy.

There was a very friendly atmosphere as soon as you entered. Such a warm and inviting pub. (Dog friendly too.) Rooms were spotless, very comfortable and spacious! The shower was very powerful which was fabulous! Television in the room had Netflix and all the usual apps. All staff were accommodating. The Welsh Breakfast was delicious and the food we had in the evening was so tasty too! Also must add that Wifi was super fast!! Amazing stay! Wish we had booked for longer!
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Plenty of places to park, fab amenities for our stay…our own little outdoor space and own entrance. The pub was lovely and very welcoming, great choice of beer, lager, wines & spirits with very friendly staff. The menu was varied and the food was excellent. Breakfast was a great choice of continental and cooked. Our room was very comfortable, clean & tidy. Plenty of choice for tea & coffee with a cute bottle of milk and biscuits on the tray. The little shop selling merchandise and goodies was a wonderful touch along with the doggie treat goodies with a huge selection neatly displayed.
Absolutely nothing! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend The Ring.

The rooms were comfortable and very well appointed. The tea, coffee, soft drinks, and biscuits were a lovely touch, and very welcome especially as we had to leave early the following morning to catch our ferry to Ireland. We ate our evening meal in the pub, and it was thoroughly enjoyable, with a nice atmosphere. We weren't able to stay for breakfast, due to early departure. Our hosts made us delicious barms to take with us the following morning. The fillings were both generous, and delicious. I'd recommend staying here it would be a nice base to explore the island from.
Unfortunately the fridge had been turned off (accidentally I'm sure) so I had to drink my morning coffee black as the milk had turned overnight.

Fantastic short notice stay at The Ring while visiting Anglesey. The location is in a quiet countryside setting which added to the ambience of the accommodation. Plenty of on-site parking. A very nicely presented bedroom with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The ensuite bathroom was clean and nicely fitted. Shower gel and hand wash of good quality. Superb tea and coffee tray, with fresh milk in a room fridge. We had a very tasty evening meal in the pub downstairs. Breakfast was of good quality and served with a smile . All in all, a great experience. We will return...

Our favorite place during our 10 days road trip around Wales. Super comfortable and cosy place, very well decorated. We would have wished to spend more time inside: nice and cosy bedrooms, practical restaurant downstairs. Very clean. Excellent bed. Quiet. So cosy! And very nice team!
Always something to improve: hi Ring Pub team: you should review your list of music: during breakfast, we've heard many times your 4-songs-only-playlist ;)

Positives: Loved the aesthetic of the place, beautifully designed and clearly well thought out. Thoughtful touches like the doggy showers were amazing and much needed! It's so nice to stay somewhere that is dog friendly to that level.
Minor Niggles: The food was incredible for the lunch but dinner on the first night seemed a bit rushed unfortunately as the chips weren't cooked properly but we only noticed because the lunch had been so delicious! The pillows in the room weren't as full as I'd like but that's just personal preference. We loved our stay, thank you!

As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed. We arrived earlier than expected and allowed us to check in early. The atmosphere was lovely. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The staff were lovely. The food was delicious. We had our evening meal here and also breakfast. Fast and friendly service. Family friendly and allow dogs too! Great sized car park. A great find and we will definitely be staying here again.
I don’t have a bad thing to say.
