Loved the quiet location with great walks nearby, good food especially the breakfast!
The Sunday roast was reheated when we landed on the first night, shame really as I'm sure it would of been lovely, the pigs in blankets were scorched! We should of sent it back but ate them regardless, bit disappointing as we had to pay extra for them

The location, it was quiet and it had lovely views, great for walking
We booked a luxury room, and one of the sinks was badly cracked, the taps on the bath was broken, the over flow on the bath just flowed all over the floor, so when mopping it up the floor was very dirty, there was no staff on duty to collect the keys on leaving or to talk to about our concerns

A beautiful place. Yes, a little dated but it's well suited to the style of the building. The staff are lovely. The room was clean. The beds were overly soft and maybe a little lumpy. I prefer a firm mattress. The whole place would benefit immensely from just a little basic maintenance. Our window needed attention. The curtain pole was loose. The chain was missing from the plug in the bath. The wardrobe door needed repairing. It's all basic little bits but they add up. The food was exceptional. Large portions and very tasty. The drinks were okay, maybe a little pricey. The breakfast was pretty standard but more than adequate (served in a lovely panelled dining room) We had 2 dogs with us who were welcomed for a reasonable fee of £10 each (cheaper than a kennel) They also have a range of dog meals and treats to buy at the bar. Overall I would class the Tennant Arms as very good value. It just needs that little bit of TLC to really raise the standard

Lovely large room with comfy bed and view of the crag. The roll top bath with shower was great and had an over bath holder for 2 wine glasses. A bath mat was also provided. Plenty of clean towels and toiletries. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing!
Where were all the staff? The lady that checked us in was doing everything from serving behind the bar, taking and serving food orders, cleaning up, checking in and out and cleaning the rooms - superwoman!

The staff were lovely, the hotel was wonderfully warm and the cooked breakfast was delicious (although the sausages weren't as good as the rest of it). Food was good Yorkshire portions. There were lots of mirrors and plugs were well placed, with nice bedside lighting and the upcycled furniture was thoughtfully chosen to complement the room. The room was more of a suite, with the relaxing/sleeping area linked to the bathroom by a lobby. The bath was a spa bath, which was a nice touch and the bathroom was big and very warm. Could have done with a shower attachment though - washing hair was difficult.
There were no catches on the bedroom and bathroom doors, so they didn't close properly. We had to put something in front of the bedroom door to keep it closed so we weren't disturbed by the emergency lighting in the lobby. The wardrobe wouldn't close properly, so again we had to fashion a closure to stop the door swinging open. We couldn't watch TV becasue it was only available through Amazon firestick so you needed an account, which we don't have. We were only there for one night so we weren't bothered, but it would have mattered if it had been a longer stay. The only cereal available at breakfast was cornflakes - very limited if you wanted somehting a bit more substantial or with more fibre/less sugar.

Handy location and easy parking on front of the hotel. The room was toasty warm, good bathroom with hot shower and heated towel rail. Enjoyed dinner in the bar area.
It lacked atmosphere and no one else around in the bar after 9pm. Seemed they were waiting for me to go to my room before closing for the night. Breakfast was adequate, cornflakes the only cereal available but a choice of cooked options. Couldn't find anyone to check out in the morning at 1000hrs, had to go back to find cleaning staff only to be told to put room key in the box outside the dining room. I struggled to get any decent channels on the TV..seemed there were only 5.it was hard to find the right controls and no instructions given. Overall I know these are small issues but good communication would have improved the impression significantly.

Well, what can I say, I booked here for challenge of 3 peaks. I feel like I have stumbled upon the most friendly quant romantic getaway retreat that ever was made. The staff were absolutely lovely, the room was amazing, and the food omg was perfect. The size of the room was huge. the en suite bathroom was amazing, and the bath was sunken a jacuzzi style, which was so nice and powerful. The view from the room was certainly a brilliant one, couldn't have wished for more. The ladies running the pub/bar and hotel were so caring and friendly and offered everything, including those personal touches that just made our stay superb.
The 17 mile from the 3 peaks was along what could only be described as country/farm roads all the way opening, closing farmers' gates, passing points that made you breathe in! scary u bends on hills of 17%!! that was a challenge to drive in itself. Within the room, I would have liked a small fridge.

The two women that seem to run it all were exceptional we had a problem with our toilet and they were both plumbers aswell as bar staff, served food, did the washing real credit to the place. Beautiful pub and location. Rooms abit dated and could do with abit of a spruce up, food was soooo good.
I didn't not like anything just 2 down points were our toilet didn't flush so needed help from staff with that and also our window wouldn't stay open by itself so had to use the bedroom bin to keep it open. Also the TV didn't work in the family room My toddler was fine without it but I presume other families might rely on the tele in the room to work

EVERYTHING! Good was lovely Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location is outstanding. Beautiful views. Beds and duvets were so soft and smelt lovely. A real coffee machine made a great difference.
Vegetarian sausages were potatoe based and would have preferred the fake meat ones. Personal preference and not a huge deal.

Staff, atmosphere location. Standard of cleanliness. Evening food good.
Breakfast time finished at 9. 9.30 would be better. Have stayed here many times since it was renovated some years ago. Please, please would current owners give this historic building/fixtures and fittings some overdue TLC. This is no reflection on current managers. They work very hard and are pleasant, helpful and very efficient. It's not fair to them to allow the premises to decline for want of a little investment.
