Room was comfortable, coffee, tea, biscuits, hairdryer and great shampoo and conditioner. There’s a separate little living room with a tv and games and fireplace and microwave in case you need it (excellent for heating some milk). The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Fresh, made to order and delicious. The staff were also very friendly.
Nothing I didn’t like, the rooms are a bit dated but they’re comfortable and clean and I’d definitely stay again. I normally stay in a bigger hotel when I come for work but I’ll be staying here in future.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Poplars Hotel in Moulton, and I couldn’t have been happier with my experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure I felt right at home. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, capturing both charm and comfort. Each morning, the breakfast was a highlight – delicious, freshly prepared, and offered a nice variety to suit all tastes. The location in Moulton is ideal, with a peaceful village atmosphere but close enough to explore Northampton and surrounding areas. I’d highly recommend The Poplars to anyone looking for a welcoming and restful stay with a touch of elegance. I’ll definitely be back!

Great value stay with a super comfy bed and great breakfast in a gorgeous English village with great facilities. Very friendly and welcoming and breakfast service was very attentive - good star! Lounge was nice and v quiet could have grab a take out to have there.
A couple of things looked a bit tired - there was a big scratch on the cupboard door that could have been fixed and although the room had a bath the sign said it was ‘out of use’ which was hugely disappointing.

This was our 2nd visit and once again, it exceeded our expectations! Our room this time was in one of the "cottages" rather than in the main hotel. Equally nice, but lovely not to carry the luggage upstairs! The cottage was large, the bed so very comfortable the room had everything we needed from iron, ironing board, bottled water, coffee, hairdryer plenty of hangers-just perfect! Parking was right outside the door. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful with many options. Great vegetarian sausages. Service is above and beyond always in reception and breakfast. After we checked out and drove two hours away, we couldn't find our medication so called back and they searched the trash even to find it...we did find it in one of our bags so grateful they were willing to help. Housekeeping is fabulous and certainly on a Friday night went above and beyond. We'll see them again next trip to the area.
We did not have more than one night!

Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast - you could not really ask for a much better selection of items in a small hotel. Full English was beautifully cooked as well. Clean and nice hot shower with goof flow of water. Very friendly and helpful staff.
It's a small thing but the kettle didn't fit under the tap at the sink so it was hard to fill it to make a cup of tea. Even tilted sideways only a dribble could get into it so it took a while.

Very friendly staff, waiting there to open the door on arrive. Very easy to check in. The room was clean and tidy. They also provide a room downstairs with a microwave and a TV so you can buy food to heat up if you wanted to. When traveling on your own this is great as you don't want to eat out on your own in a restaurant or pub but may want to come out of your room as still feel safe.

Room was clean and well presented. All advertised facilities present and working. Staff were friendly and accommodated an early breakfast for those of us attending a local air show and needed an early departure time. Good breakfasts.
No evening meal service [as advised prior to booking]. We used the local pub, The Artichoke, which was only a short walk away and was excellent but not as convenient as a hotel restaurant. Our room was on the top floor and was very hot despite windows open.

Susan and her team were very welcoming and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and the hotel provided a nice family atmosphere. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and Moulton is a lovely village - quite a hidden gem. Great parking and we would highly recommend this hotel.
Honestly, there really wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel, Susan and her team or the location. We couldn't find fault at all.

Fabulous hotel, i was greeted by a lovely lady who was very friendly and gave me lots of good advice on local amenities. I stayed in one of the single room which was excellent for the price with a super comfortable bed only small downside was shared bathroom but i knew this before booking, there was a lovely common room if you wanted to sit and relax down stairs there is no alcohol served in the hotel but you can bring your own, there is also another room with a micro wave and other kitchen items you can use if you have got your own food and want to warm it up ect. Breakfast was fantastic full english and cereals, also homemade marmalade which was lovely, and lots of teas and coffees. I can definitely recommend this hotel to other guests

Everything was extremely pleasant. I didn't have an ensuite, but I knew that when I chose my room. There was an option for not much more cost, but I am a bit cheap. I was shocked and surprised at how beautiful the hotel was and the immediate surrounding area. At least 3 pubs, 2 shops and a chip shop with a quaint village feel to the place. I was invited by reception to bring food back where they'd supply plates and cutlery. I opted to eat out and took the advice to try the artichoke, where I ate my fish n chips in the beautiful garden. I wasn't particularly hungry but the food was literally to die for, quite possibly the best fish and the best chips I've ever had, ever! Getting back to review the hotel, I'd forgot breakfast was included and it starts at 7, which was ideal for me. Well, what can I say. The staff were exceptional and I'd go as far to say the breakfast was better. It was possibly the best breakfast I've ever had, ever! I genuinely don't give good reviews easily but I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and will definitely go back if I'm in the area again.
Not good for my diet as the food was delicious. I don't think I've ever had a GF sausage but my goodness I love them now. I'm tempted to take the wife for a short break just to revisit the place.....and maybe eat a bit more than I probably should.
