Phenomenal location! Rolling hills, great views and a stunning river running through the grounds - I spent many hours down there sitting in a camping chair with a drink and my camera watching the wildlife. The grounds are immaculately kept (so, by the river for instance, it's all mown and has lovely benches dotted along the bank, the long driveway is so neat and tidy etc.). Jackie and Charlie keep so many wonderful animals too and the set up would be perfect for kids. Breakfast is served in a barn with a outdoor terrace (for sunny weather which I was lucky enough to have). Jackie's cooked breakfasts are amazing, and served using beautiful china on checkered table cloths. She also has a little tuck/gift shop. I had one of the new renovated outbuilding rooms - Daisy - which was fabulous. A very high quality finish, very comfortable (especially the bed), with every little extra thought of. Having the fridge was a blessing and it was stocked with fresh milk/water. It's all so close to great things to see and do. It was an easy trip down to WWT Llandelli (one of the reasons I booked it as I'm a keen bird photographer), Ffos Las racecourse, Kidwelly, and even Tenby was within very easy reach. I highly recommend staying here. I'll definitely be back.

Where to start talking about such a beautiful, idyllic place to stay? This is one of the easiest reviews it could be possible to write as *everything* was perfect. From the stunning location, beautifully restored and prepared room and en-suite, super hosts, and perfect breakfast to add the finishing touch. And the Red Lion, just down the road, also serves stunning food in a marvellous atmosphere so that's your evening sorted too (just make sure you book!). The sort of place we'd return to simply because we want to go somewhere lovely, and already a weekend we'll never forget. Thank you Jackie and Charles - hopefully see you again before too soon. :)

Everything ! I would give more than 10 stars if I could and write an essay about the goodness of this little gem. The room was spotlessly clean and very thoughtfully done. It had all the essentials like a flashlight, an umbrella, a sewing kit and first aid supplies which you don't normally see in B&Bs. The guests are even provided with some good choice of books to read and games to keep the children occupied ! Jackie and Charlie are the perfect hosts. They were so welcoming and friendly and took great care to make us feel confortable. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of options to choose from along with a delicious full english option. Location of the retreat was brilliant. Surrounded by greens, calm and quiet with lots of animals on the farm and a nice river side for walks. Highly recommend staying here. We are definitely going back and staying for a longer duration !

The room was very clean and spacious, had everything you could need.

Every small touch was catered for. Our hosts could not have been more hospitable. The breakfast was amazing. The views were spectacular and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this venue, when we visit Wales again we will definitely stay there again. It was easy to fine and not far from the local pub which served the best meals you could ever want.

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure me and my wife had the best possible experience we could. They could not have been more helpful and went beyond what would normally be expected from owners of a bnb. The food was exceptional and the staff made sure that we had what ever we need.

There was nothing, not to like.

The host was extremely friendly and accommodating and ensured we had absolutely everything we needed. Truly 5* accommodation plus interesting stories to hear of the animals that have starred in many adverts and tv programmes. A refreshingly different experience! Will visit again!

All of it! Our room was wonderful - comfortable, clean, welcoming and cosy. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Jackie and Charlie were friendly hosts and the animals were a joy.

We would have preferred some bigger drawers for our clothes. We are not small people and found our clothes were quite squashed in the bedside cabinets.

The Daisy room was delightful having been very tastefully converted from an old barn with 75cm think stone walls. The furnishings were top quality and the bathroom, always an important consideration, was first class. We also liked the warm welcome from Jackie and Charlie and their young staff. The reindeer, pygmy goats, chickens and donkeys were a hit as were the stunning views. The local pub was pretty good with a nice atmosphere and decent menu.

Not much not to like. We have been fortunate to stay in scores of hotels in the UK and abroad and it's quite amazing how this little farm ranks with the nicest. Ah, got them! the mobile signal is modest when it tries to go through 75 cm of Welsh stone walls bur better talk to Open Reach about that not Jackie as she will probably have a cracking answer.

Room was spacious and comfortable with every facility. Outside table and chairs a bonus.

Limited natural light the only slight issue but as we were out and about for most of the day, not a problem for us.

The location is absolutely amazing, along with the accommodation. Jackie the owner could not be more helpful and her breakfast is delicious, it definitely sets you up for your day ahead. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much 😊
