Every member of staff was polite and friendly, the rooms are large and spacious and the bed was comfortable, there is a safe in the room big enough for laptops and other valuables and there was also a 2 seater couch in the room which was nice to relax on rather than sitting on the bed or the chair at the dressing table. a nice touch was having wine glasses provided in the room along with water, tea & coffee and also 2 small packs of biscuits. we used the Thomas restaurant on the first night and the food was excellent value and quality and the waiting staff were brilliant,there is also a good sized bar area with decent seating to relax in. The breakfast was also excellent quality and there was never a shortage of any of the food on offer, overall this hotel is superb, i would definately choose a future inn again over the competition 10 out of 10

im really struggling to find anything negative to say about the hotel, it far exceeded my expectations for the price

It was central to Cardiff bay, a nice walk to the bay. It has free parking at the hotel on site which is a plus.

The breakfast is expensive, have had just as good and better at other hotels at a lower price. Unfortunately nothing to close if you just want to fall out of bed and have breakfast. When went in for breakfast all that they seem to worry about was how are you going to pay. Isn’t that you were going to do a Runner as they take a card imprint when you book in so it would be charged to the room.

We booked as a family ofcthree. The hotel is strategically located. There're restaurants everywhere within the hotel grounds, then within 2 minutes walk as well as 5 minutes walk. There's the Odeon cinema, bowling and others. The Bay is within 10 minutes walk and it's got Tescos, Sainsbury's, food, icecream, Waffles, buffet, and whatever, you name it. Easy access to the city centre on the bus 6 within 5 mins and walking distance of about 20mins depending on your speed. The hotel rooms - King's Suite- very great, large space, excellent set up, fridge, fruits, water, a bottle of wine, coffee machine, tea all complementary with room. The room we booked was interconnected with an access door between the two rooms from inside. Each room had a tv and a sitting area with good enough room space for our morning workout routines One more thing- car parking, excellent. Left the car there and literally enjoyed the city and Bay on foot. On check out day,we checked at 11am but car stayed in parking till 2 pm at no extra charge.

An excellent hotel in a good location for Cardiff Bay, Millennium centre, leisure activities. Free parking. So leave the car and explore Cardiff on foot, one stop on train or buses- Well furnished, quiet room, nice bathroom toiletries . The bed mattress is so comfortable I want to know how to get one !! We found the restaurant prices high ..eg The Welsh cawl main was £18 but only a bowl of hearty soup. .. Apple crumble far too sweet Breakfast expensive too Restaurant staff were all excellent...polite, friendly and efficient.

Especially the little extra touches, ie fresh apples in lift foyers; mini-muffins in Reception. All staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The choice and amount of breakfast items was very good, and the restaurant area pleasant and spacious. The room was comfy and good that you could control the temperature; also the heated towel rail was a welcome touch.

Unfortunately, the coffee at breakfast was not at all to our taste. Tried a couple of types, from different machines, This, of course is down to personal taste. Also, it sounds very petty, but the quality of toilet paper was very poor. Again, a small thing but no mini packs of biscuits in the room to enjoy with coffee/tea provided.

The room was beautiful, and the added bonus of having a bathtub. Well stocked with toiletries and towels, even robes and slippers on request. Tea, coffee, etc. Staff were amazing. The beds were on the hatd side for me, but that's a personal preference. Great hotel. The downside was that the ev chargers were not working, or so we were told, only to find someone plugged in the next day after opening nearly £40 to charge nearby. The breakfast cost me £90 for 2 breakfasts for 3 days. Overpriced and abysmal. Day one, it was cold. Day 2, it was marginally warmer but slow to top up when an item was out. We had booked for Sunday roast but decided to cancel due yo the poor breakfast. We declined the day 3 breakfast. Yes, we complained after the first cold servings, not expecting a refund for the one we had eaten but to cancel the following 2 breakfasts, but we're told it was non refundable. Understandable if it had been cooked and left, but as it was for the next 2 days, it was unreasonable for them to decline a cancellation and refund.

Myself and a friend shared a room with one double bed and one sofa bed. No problems with the sofa bed, easy to do and very comfortable for a couple of nights. Food was excellent, we had food from the restuarant 1st night, to our room via room service and 2nd night went out to Valentino's a great Italian in Cardiff Bay, over looking the water, only a 10 minutes walk if that from the hotel. Everything on your doorstep here and the staff very good, friendly and smile :-) Breakfast served until 10am and an excellent choice for all. I would stay here again and will recommend to Friends that wish to visit Cardiff.

Our room was a good size with wardrobe and drawers for clothing etc. The bed was a little firm for our liking but this is a matter of personal taste and I'm sure it would have been ideal for some. Bathroom was nicely laid out and fully functional. The tea/coffee tray was replenished daily and fresh bottled water supplied. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food to suit all tastes. We also had lunch in the restaurant on our arrival. This too was very good. Restaurant manager was very friendly and welcoming. Apples in bowls as you exited the lift was a lovely touch.

As previously stated the bed mattress could ideally have been less firm but the bed was a good size with comfortable bedding.

It was great to have such easy accessible parking as we arrived. We arrived early but we’re able to park. We had chosen the hotel due to its proximity to the Wales Millennium Centre for a production. We we’re welcomed in a polite and friendly manner and all the staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was sparkling clean everywhere I visited,our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, the bed was really comfortable. Everything was immaculately cleaned. We had lunch in The Thomas Bar/Restaurant and the buffet breakfast was served there too. The breakfast was fair but some of the cooked items could have been warmer. However, there was loads of choice and everything was of good quality. I liked rye face that there was some local produce available on the buffet and on the lunch menu. It was easy to get to our concert and we finished off the evening with a drink in The Thomas Bar. We would definitely stay there again, if and when we are visiting Cardiff.

However, one area that could be improved is the check-in process. During peak times, such as 3 PM, the wait can be longer than desired due to only having two receptionists and a queue of seven people ahead of us.
