A lot to like! However there are a couple of standout things about the Busby that need to be noted. Firstly - the friendliness of the staff is unbelievable... and secondly - the showers. Our room had a walk in rain shower - it was hot and had super pressure - probably one of the best showers I have ever experienced. some other things to note: The hotel is on a very quite street/road - not much passing traffic, either foot traffic or motor traffic. Our room was at the front of the hotel (by the road) and we weren't disturbed by anything at night. Things shut down early - the bar closes at 10.30. There is a local pub around the corner - we didn't visit it, but it looks fine, and also serves food if you want a change. The restaurant food in the Busby is very good in terms of choice and quality, and also quite inexpensive for a quality hotel. The Busby is a bit out from Glasgow City Centre - about 20 minutes. Thats c £30 inn a taxi, but the number 6 bus stop is just around the corner from the Busby, it has a frequent service into the city centre and also takes about 30 mins. The Busby has a big car park. On the day we arrived there was a wedding in the Busby - the car park looked full - but we found a space without too much difficulty. The rest of the time there was lots of parking. Did I mention the staff ???

There's absolutely nothing to complain about at the Busby. Breakfast was standard choice between cereal/pastries and fried breakfast. Very good quality, nicely presented, but nothing very different. I was surprised that kippers weren't on the menu, but probably wouldn't have had them anyway. Worth noting that the staff are very flexible when it comes to breakfast timing. Breakfast officially finishes at 9.30 am, however - although we slightly after 9.30 on 2 mornings - a full breakfast menu was still made available to us. The weather was unseasonably cold, (thats not the busby's fault) I wasn't cold in bed - but an if there had been an extra blanket in the room I would have used it. It would have been very cosy. I didn't ask - and I'm sure if I did I would have been given one.

Ideal location for meeting at Hamadan Park, Lovely hotel restaurant/bar chef on breakfast really good (had even made pancakes for pancake day in case anyone would like them, a nice touch I thought) and the young man on breakfast duty really done a great job , room really nice comfortable and clean

Whilst room clean the sealant around the shower tray could have done with cleaning or replacing and maybe something that can’t be fixed so easily but the floor in the room was really creeky excessively so to the extent that I didn’t want to move in case of making too much noise for the room below

Excellent breakfast a lot of choice freshly cooked tomatoes when we requested. Porridge on request too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The weather it poured with rain the whole time. But the hotel lent us an enormous umbrella.

Suitably located we were attending a family funeral. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, she even carried our case up for us whilst my elderly mum and I took the lift. She was very helpful in ordering us taxis. The room and hotel was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable and adequate amenities. The room was lovely and warm and quiet, no road noise and we slept well. There is a lovely ambience with the lighting, music and decor throughout. Unfortunately we only had time for a continental breakfast due to our time constraint but the choice of hot breakfast did look exceptional on the menu. The young waiter was very polite and attentive.

I wish I had asked for a room closer to the restaurant and front only because my mum is elderly and we were on the second floor through a few corridors and the lighting outside our room was quite dark. Room 15. I did inform the receptionist that our kettle wouldn’t switch off automatically and she said she would make sure it was fixed.

Absolutely everything. Staff are exceptional, who ever sets the culture and drives the standards needs to be very proud of the team, as not one person I interacted with during my stay was anything but brilliant. Staff are friendly, professional, kind, uplifting, engaging, attentive and make the hotel a really joy to stay at. The Food was great, ambience is relaxed and restful, decor is beautiful. The 3 star rating is total nonsense, this hotel is a 4star plus…. I will 100% be back. One of the best hotels I have stayed at.

Love this property staff are lovely . We’ve been a few times staying here and booked the queens suite for my husbands birthday . Price was good but couldn’t get tv in bathroom to work and this was a let down. Mini bar wasn’t fully stocked was two miniature bottles of vodka missing from it on arrival .

Would have been nice if total package was there . We were in the argyle suite but yet booked the queens suite so not sure what happened there .

Easy to find, adequate car parking, friendly welcome on arrival, well apointed spacious, comfortable and clean bedroom. Powerful shower - didn't try the spa tub, but nice to have the option. Excellent restaurant in the hotel very accommodating and a delicious breakfast in the morning.

A little disapointed the fancy TV in the bathroom didn't work, had it worked I would certainly have availed myself of the spa tub - but certainly not a deal breaker.

Staff were exceptional and very accommodating - they went above and beyond to help. Everyone I encountered seemed to really care about their guests having the best experience. The hotel and rooms were kept immaculately clean and the room we had was spacious with a nice neutral decor. Overall I was very happy with my stay and I would return.

The bed and pillows were quite firm and a little uncomfortable - it may just be personal preference, but I like a softer bed and pillow. Also a little consistency with regards breakfast would be good. The first day we were offered a menu which had options such as pancakes and smashed avocado and toast etc. The second day there was a continental buffet and a limited hot food buffet (no haggis, no selection of eggs, no pancakes etc). I had been looking forward to ordering something from the menu the second morning so it was a little disappointing not to have the same options.

A neat rustic room in the middle of the quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was good, restaurant was pretty. Receptionist actually returned to help us check in on her way back when she was us driving in. TV with Netflix was a bonus! Free parking too!

Room was quite small, and the layout of rooms was a bit weird where you might have to climb upstairs then downstairs. We only managed to find a rustic lift stashed away in the corner and managed to move our luggages down via that. But staff was friendly and all’s good!

Everything about the Busby was superb. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the full Scottish Breakfast was superb. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely nothing, everything about the location, venue, staff, food and comfort was perfect for my visit.
