Amazing location with a Great view and beach within walking distance, I paid for the cheapest room that I could walk to the beach from and wasn’t expecting such a great little hotel! Especially happy with the great balcony and view, also it was competitively priced compared to the local camp sites plot

Room could have done with the bathroom fan replacing as it was a little loud and fitted very near the bed, but as long as you turn of the bathroom light when headed to bed it was fine And a fan for the room would have been nice as it was a little hot, but opening the door onto the stunning balcony did the job reasonably well!

This is a beautiful location. The restaurant/hotel has gorgeous views. It is a 15min walk from the hotel to a beach. (You will need to drive to shops or other restaurants, there isn't really anything in walking distance.) Staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us great advice about where to visit. The budget room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen fans shut off at about 10pm and weren't too bad at all. Breakfast was made to order and was very tasty. A cocktail in the garden looking out at the sea each evening was lovely...

The hotel is beautiful situated withe stunning sea views. The restaurant was lovely and the the breakfast room was the same. Delicious food and lovely staff. Couldn,t have been more helpful and friendly.

Our room was nicely decorarted and spotlessly clean but it was very small and the onsuite was a tiny wet room which I didn, t particularly like as there was no where to hang towels etc and each time you went to the toilet you were stepping into a wet tray. Despite this though we loved our stay there and would go back again.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in the budget double room. Cosy and comfortable. Lovely hot shower. We had breakfast in the garden room each morning which was delicious, on the final day they were kind enough to provide a breakfast sandwich and filled my travel mug with tea to takeaway as we were leaving early which was a very nice touch. We had the Sunday carvery and two further meals which were all excellent. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Family friendly, clean facilities. All staff were friendly and approachable. And the views were exceptional. 😁

Slow WiFi, kept kicking you off but we weren't there for that.

Room was clean and tidy! Room was fairly small but comfortable and excellent for a weekend break. Hotel was in a great location to Widemouth Bay beach and Bude town.

Room was very warm in the evenings and a fan would have been greatly appreciated. The bar and resturant also close very early and the hotel isnt staffed all night which caused problems when more water was needed but no facilities avialable to get more.

Very easy to find. I booked a single room with a balcony overlooking the garden. This gave me a lovely side sea view. It's an old building with many original features. Parking seemed plentiful. Staff were welcoming. Busy restaurant and pub with a varied menu. Lots of hot water.

My bed was too soft, it's a personal thing. Breakfast isn't available until 8am. The coffee isn't very nice. I ended up taking my own ketchup and marmalade down to breakfast. The TV in my room was impossible to watch while in bed, or on the chair. It was fastened to the wall near the ceiling.

Great location, especially liked the first floor bar where we could sit and enjoy a drink while watching the sunset!!! Beautiful. staff were very friendly and the lady who cleaned the rooms even came running out to us after checking out because we had left something behind - so kind of her. Lovely view of widemouth bay from the hotel.

Our room was a small one (which it did say) but it was ok for a couple of nights. Would get a bigger room next time with a bay view.

Set away from the rest of the village high up the hill - hence the superb views from the terrace. Small clean ensuite rooms with super comfortable beds and decent wifi connection, friendly and efficient staff and good range of bar food. There is a bus stop right outside for connections north to Bude and south to Boscastle. For those doing the south west coastal path there is a track veering straight to the hotel from the cliff top.

The limited breakfast menu was straight out of the 1970's - probably best to head to one of the beach cafes to save money and have something which wasn't fried - the coffee was refreshingly appalling.

WM was our last stay on our Cornish Adventure, and we could not have asked for a better ending. WM welcomed us with open arms and provided us with flexible accommodation, great drinks and amazing food in the evening, overlooking the sea and we found ourselves drifting into the sunset with the magical view this place provides. Beds and rooms were superb. Food was plentiful and tasty, fresh Sea bass, Tennessee chicken bursting with flavor and you must try the local specialty if you can - the RIBS!!! A heartfelt thank you WM for just being who you are and giving us this experience and sanctuary after some staying-experiences which had downed our spirits a bit. Would have loved to stayed longer and use WM as a base of exploration, but maybe next time :-)

Convenient for purpose of visit. We were attending a function there. Most of the staff were spot on, helpful and friendly. The setting of property, and recent refurbishment makes for a great stay. Rooms vary, and is reflected in pricing. Enjoyed a pleasant dinner, and breakfast.

The lesser rooms are adequate, but bed width could be 6” wider as our room could accommodate it. We had dinner, party of 7, had quite a wait for meal after ordering. Evening staff in upstairs lounge fell short: slow to serve, coffee tepid, pot of tea filled only half a cup. Attitude was disappointing. Guests were told to clear area, with lights being turned-up to make point, before we were ready to retire.
