Location is fantastic; Staff super helpful and always available 24x7. Great toiletries, love Elemis products. Love the touch of a little carafe of Bristol Sherry in the room and fresh milk, tea leaves and coffee grinds to make fresh brews. Secure car park available for stay.
Room has lots of potential having been recently renovated but feels like it was only half finished! i.e. bed is old and very soft; small sofa in room is filthy with stains, these should have been replaced when room redecorated. There for 2 nights, but cups/glasses not replaced when room cleaned, left to wash them up ourselves. Wasn't forewarned that there was a wedding and therefore restaurant and sitting lounge were out of action all day/night. When there was a group of us across 3 rooms we needed somewhere to gather and chat as none of the rooms are big enough.

Hotel easy to find and staff in reception and at breakfast were very welcoming and friendly. Only there for one night - breakfast was very good and the yoghurt/fruit/nut mix in the individual Kilner jar was superb. Good choice of full English and the usual croissants etc etc. Hot water in the bathroom was instantly very hot!! Nice complimentary small carafe of sherry in the room which didn’t last long (😂)
Taps to the shower over the bath (which was an attractive roll-top type) were a bit inaccessible because the quite large shower screen was almost right up against the sink and difficult to pull open to get to the controls. Bearing in mind the water was very hot, and we were there for less than 24 hours, we used discretion instead of scalding and showered when we got home!

The location was excellent for my requirements. The breakfast was OK. The pastries were fresh and delicious, the cooked veggie breakfast was good. The room was very comfortable and the complimentary sherry was much appreciated. The staff were excellent.
Breakfast was a little let down by the veggie sausage/felafel which was more of a paste and the coffee which was from a bygone era, coffee can be easily so delicious these days. In all its not really worth the £18. The snuggly top cover and cushion had some nasty stains which the maid immediately changed for me the next morning. The shower was a little under-pressured but adequate for the purpose. These are all minor niggles.

Fantastic location, close to Park st and beautiful Brandon Hill, fabulous paraomanic views of Bristol, from the hill. If you're travelling to Bristol via train the No. 8 bus goes to Park st from outside the station. Fabulous bar and restaurant on site with a lovely garden terrace. Close to Sainsbury's supermarket and loads of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Excellent wifi. Friendly and helpful staff. Love that you get fresh coffee, a tea infuser pot and sherry in your room! Excellent value for money. Don't let the renovations put you off, I didn't hear any noise. I stayed on a Friday night and was in bed by 9pm🤣 It was very quiet and I had a lovely restful sleep. Very comfortable beds. I'll DEFINITELY stay here again. It's my new favourite hotel.

I am running out of compliments, as I stay here regularly. This stay was the last of three consecutive nights, which had to be booked as three separate single night stays, as my employers are incapable or getting the basics right, and are masters at the art of dithering. On departure at 11 each morning, the staff kindly stored my luggage until my daily return after checking in time, which was very much appreciated. I do actually enjoy watching the Hotel staff carry out their daily tasks, professionalism and competence always the order of the day. Like watching a beautiful watch going about its business. The rooms are always superbly spotless and the bedding very comfortable. Nice sized TV and free WI FI. My "go to" Hotel, if available.
Bumping into a guest whistling "Jailhouse Rock". As the worlds biggest Sir Cliff fan anything connected to Elvis Prickly is abhorrent, but not the fault of the Hotel Management. I feel the supply of sugar sachets should be increased, but maybe I need to reduce my intake. 😁.

My "go to" Bristol Hotel, when it is available. The cleanliness is outstanding. The staff personify total professionalism, and are very helpful and welcoming. Nice touches with the the free fruit and sherry in your room, upon arrival. Mini bar within room has nice variety of snacks and drinks, which are very well priced. Excellent bedding, nice sized TV, and free wifi, which is important, these days. FRESH milk within the mini bar, and nice selection of tea and coffee, with biscuits thrown in. The breakfast and restaurant facilities, plus the foods, are wonderful. The real icing on the cake is their wonderful gem of a bar, (for guests only), but ring first to assess availability, what with private functions possibly having been booked at the time of your stay. Mind you, the wonderful "Woods Bar" and "The Jukebox" are separated by just 100 yards, and both, literally, LESS than a two minute walk away, and I highly recommend them both if you are venturing out.
Leaving!

The welcome at Reception was super (thank you Bridget) and the room was super, large enough for myself, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was well set up, and a very good shower. Breakfast was 10/10 - my only criticism was the portion was huge, but for some, I am sure it would meet the needs. Service throughout was great. The location was also outstanding, a short walk to busy streets on one side and the park on the other; enables you to see a lot of Bristol's offerings.
I was baffled by the parking, there was a comment on the pre call to say there may be parking available in the garage but there is plenty of on street parking (which is pay and display). When I arrived there was plenty of availability in the garage, but there was a cost for this, which I was not aware of. Not sure if I missed this on booking, as it only mentions parking is available, but it is a good think to be aware of. My only other two slight niggles - the bedroom window was very stubborn to open, and required moving the table to do so, and the second, more a suggestion - perhaps hot chocolate sachets for those who don't drink tea or coffee!

I am not sure if I should fill in these online reviews any more, as potential customers may feel I am a "plant". I have stayed here many times. It remains my "go to" Bristol Hotel. The bar is a hidden gem, the staff are wonderful, though they may be getting sick of the sight of me, by now! Spotlessly clean. Nice touches with the welcoming sherry and fruit bowl. Good sized TV.
Some rooms lack a bedside plug socket, which means standard sized phone charger cables are inadequate for youtube scrolling (I sleep less than 2 hours each night), forcing me to constantly get out of bed to keep my phone charged. I dont partake of the optional breakfast, on principal. The £18 charge is way in excess of other Hotels nearby. It is not being tight, as I can afford to buy the Hotel outright,... it really is a principle with me, a silent indignation, if you will.

A superb Hotel, in a beautiful location. Perfect for exploring Clifton village and within easy walk of the city centre and waterfront. Every amenity you could wish for had been thought of. The staff were excellent; welcoming and informative. Parking in this location was a bonus.
Our stay was rather noisy in the evening. There was a function and a joint 21st Birthday Party. The staff had informed us on checking-in that these were taking place. A little cheeky, as it was too late for us to find somewhere else. It was very noisy. We went to bed to the sound of thumping music and couldn't get to sleep until the early hours, when it eventually stopped.

The room felt so stylish, comfortable and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. It is rare to have both a sofa and a desk in a single room, and this one did. Elemis bath products and complementary fruit, milk and sherry will always win me over too (even if I only had the fruit)! Staff were very friendly and accommodating, from the guys at reception to the cleaners. Location is perfect. It is very close to main streets and about 7-8 min walk from Bristol Cathedral, yet it is also quiet, in a classic square tucked away from the boulevards. I didn't have the chance to try the restaurant inside or the co-working space next door but made a definite mental note of both for a future visit. I needed to stay in Bristol for longer than I had planned. In such cases I almost always book somewhere else, just so that I know more places in a city. I had zero desire to experiment this time, immediately extended my stay!
The bathroom is showing signs of age, but I'm only stating it as a fact, didn't bother me at all relative to the cleanliness, hot rail rack, strong shower and Elemis cosmetics provided.
