The bedroom was desperate from the pub itself, it was more of a self contained bedroom, bathroom and living space in a private courtyard a few steps away from the pub. The courtyard had a lockable door so only those staying overnight to get in. The bedroom was warm when we first arrived, very country style with warm tones. We were impressed by the usual tea and coffee stand that also had bottles of water. The bed was huge! Me and my partner struggled to find each other to cuddle up late at night. There was hanging storage, plenty of drawers and a hair dryer and TV available. A nice cosy chair and a desk for getting ready at. The shower in the bathroom is like on of the rainforest ones! Loved it . The staff were amazing and accomodating. We left our house at half 5 in the morning only to arrive at 10 am work out and ready for a coffee. We knew we could check in a little early as we had messages the night before but let's face it 10am check in is a no go at any any hotel. However we spoke with a lovely lady who offered to get us coffees and a warm spot to sit at seeing as we'd been in the car for 3 hours and she was quick to see if there was anything they could do to help. We had a family party to go to after 12 and I had asked if possible to get changed in the room if one became available. We enjoyed a stunning latte and it wasn't long before they advised on this occasion they could help, we paid the early check in fee and were in our room before 12 so we could get ready. We returned in the evening for a small family dinner, the Vegan falafel burger was good but the vegan ice cream much better! They had gluten free options as well so everyone at the table were catered for. We slept quite well, considering you're on top of a huge hill we didn't hear any wind or anything to disrupt us . Breakfast the next morning was amazing, my aunt was impressed by the individual cafeteier coffee.
When we arrived I used the toilet that's in the pub, it was so cold, I think the stone walls had something to do with that. I had just left the warmth of the pub to go to the loo though.

Fantastic location if you have a car but buses also run down the hill to the city centre —peacefully tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, yet less than a five-minute drive to get right into it. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything you need. We had the room with a window so we could watch the sunrise/sunset. The bar and restaurant are excellent, offering a great selection of dishes that truly feel home-cooked and fresh—possibly the best food we've had in England so far. The staff are warm and welcoming, making it an all-around wonderful stay!
The bed was a little hard but it was a nice change up!

Great location just outside Bath city centre and great access to Park and Ride facility into Bath. Buses every 15 minutes and very scenic drive down into Bath (main reason for choosing this Hotel). Our room was spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean and our accommodation was separate from main pub building. We arrived at 5.30 pm on a Sunday evening and pub kitchen closed at 6.00 pm, which was disappointing, had to go to another pub (Hare and Hounds) down the hill for an excellent meal. Breakfast was standard choices with cereals etc and cooked options (excellent porridge). Stayed 2 nights and pub deserted in the evening, not much atmosphere, probably very different on race days! Staff were all very friendly, polite and professional. Recommend despite lack of food served on evening. Great location for visiting Bath without hassle of looking for parking.

We stayed here for one night as we were completing the Bath 50km ultra challenge which started at the nearby Bath Racecourse - when I say nearby, it is a stone’s throw away Check in was quick and easy, very friendly staff. I had a few questions before we arrived which were answered via message promptly We stayed in the Ensleigh room which was spacious, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Kettle with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and complimentary biscuits Bathroom had complimentary toiletries so we didn’t need to use our own We went for dinner on the Friday evening in main bath which was approx a 10 minute drive

Very good choice of breakfast menu so plenty of variety available for the three days we stayed. Quick efficient service and breakfasts freshly cooked to order. Great dinner menus which was needed as options for eating within walking distance were limited. Very clean, comfortable quiet room which considering how close we were to a busy main road was much appreciated.
Offer of refills of tea/coffee at breakfast without having to ask. Bath in addition to shower in the room. Not really practical to walk to the park & ride as along a busy main road.

I had a fantastic experience during my stay at this hotel. The place was impeccably clean, and the bed was massive and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The room was cosy and wonderfully quiet, as I stayed in an external courtyard area, which meant no disturbances from banging doors or hallway noise. The location was ideal, especially for using the nearby park and ride into Bath, which made getting around so convenient. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice and everything freshly prepared. The staff were attentive and friendly, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return!

Wonderful place to stay if visiting bath for a few days. We stayed in one of the rooms that is in a separate building to the pub which was nice. The room was lovely, spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. The staff at the pub were all super friendly and helpful. The food at the pub was lovely, we had breakfast there every day included with the room and we also had our evening meal there one night which was lovely! There is free WiFi in both the pub and the rooms which works perfectly! The park and ride to get into bath is super easy to use and only a short walk/drive from the pub. Only ÂŁ5.50 for two adult returns and drops you off straight in the centre of bath and they run every 15 minutes and the journey is only about 10 minutes. It was super doggy friendly! There was a doggy box in the room which was a really nice touch. It had blankets, treats, poo bags, bowls and a mat for your little furry one. Would definitely return here and recommend to everyone! Bath is also a lovely little city perfect for a few days a way.

The room was clean, spacious and cosy. We had everything we needed, including toiletries and a good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits. Our room was accessible, and though we didn't need that, it seemed this room would be suitable and comfortable for those needing wheelchair access. However, getting over the threshold may not be so easy in a wheelchair. The breakfast was also delicious, with a decent choice on the menu. Dietary requirements were offered and supplied without hesitation. The service overall was fantastic, with all staff being friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere in the main pub.
There aren't any wall sockets near the mirror, so using hair stylers was a little awkward. Our room door was a bit stiff to open and needed a good shove to let us in. It may need a bit of adjusting!

The inn had prepared walking routes available. It was within walking distance of Park and Ride for Bath. The room (Langridge) was clean ,spacious with lovely furniture The en-suite had a wonderful overhead shower. The dining area had an extended area overlooking the racecourse. It was an unusual shape with lots of white fairy lights attached to the solid wooden beams. It was very pleasant and so was the waitress that served us. The food we chose was particularly good!
Everything was as good as we could have hoped for

The location is convenient for travelling into Bath. Our room (in a separate building from the main inn) was warm, very clean and comfortable, and we were able to gain early access (12pm) for a small additional charge. There was a wide choice of cooked dishes on the breakfast menu, and the food arrived hot, which was a welcome change from the breakfast buffets with heated trays common to many hotels.
This is an observation, not a 'didn't like': the inn is located on a busy main road, but the windows are well sound-proofed.
