Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable and in a quiet area. The hotel is close to Duthie Park and had easy parking but is within a 10min walk from Union Sq and city centre restaurants. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was excellent. The room was great value for money.
The room looked tired and dated and could do with updating and repainting. The marks on walls and ceilings made it look unclean when in actual fact it was very clean. A hairdryer would have been useful and some hooks for jackets. Overall though, the room was very good value for the price paid as much cheaper than a lot of other city centre hotels and staff were v friendly and helpful.

The kind of accommodation I imagine when you say good old family-run British-style B&B. A small, cosy clean room with a big bed where not one angle is right. The crooked floor creaks with every step. The bathroom door closes with a bang. An interesting novelty for me: a switch in the main room turns on the hot water in the shower. But the absolute bomb - the shower is normally on a hose, not fixed in the wall. Great breakfast and friendly service. And if you're lucky, the fire alarm goes off five minutes after midnight and you run down the fire escape. But the manager says that only happens once every six months at most.
The location is a bit off centre and the fire alarm was something that we didn't enjoy that much.

Breakfast bit pricey at £10 but there was plenty of it, room was very dated needs redecorating & TWO bedside cabinets / needed more than 3 clothes hangers in wardrobe. We stayed in room 104 double bed was small need larger / toilet seat slipped when sat upon all easy fixes. Good bar but shuts at 10pm weekdays / Staff were very friendly & chatty the cleaner / waitress Alison was a delight really good craic. Would i stay here again YES perfect for us & easy drive to centre .
early bar closure, double bed too small, not enough drawers for clothes. See above

We missed our ferry so had to make some quick plans for an overnight stay in Aberdeen. Thank you for accepting our booking so late in the day and making us feel welcome. The staff we're all fantastic and went above and beyond to make us feel valued and our stay as comfortable as possible. The room and on-suite bathroom were clean with towels and tea making facilities provided. Being at the back of the building, it was also very quiet which was a bonus. We opted for a breakfast, again a late decision and so pleased we did. The food was cooked to order and perfect. Cereal, juices, full breakfast or a breakfast roll and tea or coffee to boot. Lovely! . Parking on site was free and we were welcome to stay a little longer if needed. Duthie Park is a very short walk away and worth a visit. We hope to stay again on our next stop over in Aberdeen.
A small niggle. The heating was off in our room and so a very cold night as the emergency door had a gap. Realised the radiator thermostat was turned off in the morning, most likely to save heating an empty room (we did book late afterall). As soon as we turned it on, the heat came. We didn't let this affect our stay though as everything else was just great.

We were attending a wedding at the Duthie Park and this hotel is perfectly situated just a minute walk away. We could enjoy our day knowing a bed was waiting for us just round the corner. The owner Ronnie was very friendly and all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We would 100% stay here again if we were coming into Aberdeen. Much better than any of the budget hotels to choose from, and from what I was told by the groom, far more reasonably priced as well!
Nothing, everything was great.

Staff were fabulous. We spent the evening in the hotel bar which was lovely, speaking with staff and locals, learning lots about the place. We checked in in the middle of a busy dinner service and were attended to quickly and professionally. The room was cozy, bathroom clean. Shower was perfect. Location handy enough to town, a bit of a walk but fine if driving. Plenty of parking.

Location, next to Duthie Park and the deeside path. Breakfast was pretty good although I was charged £10 instead of the £7.50 stated on booking.com. it was well worth the £10. I used to use this hotel about 5 years ago, before my work moved, and it has deteriorated slightly but good value for money.
The shower temperature and pressure was something to be desired. Took ages to get any temperature or flow. I think it is a cost saving measure. Breakfast starts at 7:30 which is late if you need to get to work.

Nice large rooms .lively atmosphere in the pub within the hotel. Very alert and attentive staff . Good food too . Were able to have a wonderful Indian curry with perhaps the best Nan we had anywhere in England . Enjoyed some beer too soaking up the warm atmosphere in the pub. They handed out a small fan as it was a warm evening. Secure parking too. Will highly recommend

Good sized room - clean, comfortable, excellent hotel staff - location good (about a 15 min comfortable walk to centre of town) - excellent value for money - free secure parking
Breakfast good - English style breakfast offered - a bit more variety would be better (ie some fresh fruit/ yogurt)

Nice decor. Very clean.
Room was a bit cold. Asked about putting radiator on. Was told there was a heater in the room but there wasn't. Not a big deal but would need to be warmer in winter months. If it had been a big deal we would have gone back and asked for heater. Cant really complain as we didn't give the hotel a chance to sort it.
