Hotel is situated in an quite area, there are some cafes and restaurants as well as the Grandfather and Grandmother's Rock, all within walking distance. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are 2 swimming pools, a gym, a small spa and a little library. Complimentary shuttle bus at 11am and 5pm to Lamai Beach and also one at 11am to Chaweng. The rooms look new, probably the hotel did some refurbishment, our plunge pool room is very spacious and clean with a huge bed, view from the room is beautiful especially at sunset!

The motor sound of the plunge pool in front of the room starts at about 7am making it impossible to continue sleeping

It was very pretty , nice surroundings everything was clean and well looked after . Great that it has 2 pool areas, both really nice. Private beach really pretty. I loved the welcome drinks & that they helped you to room with luggage / lift on the buggy. Breakfast was nice, it was good that they had the eggs menu separately & some of it was really good food ..& the free teas/ coffees were such a nice touch. The rooms were nice & lovely touches in rooms too, the essential oils/ candles were so lovely to come home to, so please continue this! The view from our room was stunning. The gym was nice & AC good.

Only small detail, was our room was attached to another (which could be opened for a family room), so we could hear our neighbours coughing well into the night (they were obviously unwell) & could hear them banging around which was a bit annoying, my partner mentioned it to reception but he said they didn’t really say much to help.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rocky's Boutique Resort. The rooms are spacious and clean, the view out to the ocean was amazing and the staff is very attentive in making you feel comfortable during your stay. The location, albeit being a bit remote from Lamai, is well maintained and the garden areas and facilities make you feel very welcome and relaxed. We also really liked the food offered. Not only was the breakfast delicious and provided many options for all kinds of tastes, but we wholeheartedly recommend trying out the different delicious foods offered in the hotel restaurant. Also, picking us up and bringing us back to the airport with one of the hotel vans was very convenient and took a lot of organisational stress out of the equation.

There is unfortunately a constructions site directly next to the hotel. Obviously, this is not the Resort's fault, but during the day you could sometimes hear the noise which was unfortunate when using the bottom pool. However, at the top one, it was quiet and comfortable.

Evening meals expensive compared to elsewhere on the island, same applies for massages, transport.

The staff is amazing, the food great and the rooms are very nice and well maintained.

This is not the fault of the hotel but I think it is important to know. although the hotel has a own little beach it is not possible to swim in front of the hotel. the water is not deep enough.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rocky’s Boutique! Everything about this resort is incredible and the staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful! They always went out of their way to help us, assisting us with booking and organising day trips, as well as providing excellent transportation throughout the island! We always felt welcomed at breakfast and around the resort by all of the beautiful staff! The facilities at this resort are also so beautiful and clean, and there is nothing that we can fault about this beautiful resort in Lamai! We hope to be back soon!

Nothing, everything about our stay was impeccable!

Absolute luxury. We enjoyed our very new room, spacious, luxurious, usb and multi port plugs appreciated. Great bed, TV and room facilities, gym looked great, library, spa, everything was of a high standard. View of the sea and nice balcony area. Great bathroom. Two pool areas, a garden pool and a pool overlooking the beach, beach access with all great provided for you, and bar with sunsets. Great restaurant. A stand out from anywhere else we have stayed was the lovely thoughtful and personal touches throughout our stay, the gorgeous team felt like family by the time we left. Absolute hospitality professionals. Rocky's was walking distance to Lamai, and a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Samui, it has everything you needed to chill by the pool. Room service was perfect. The Thai food was insanely good. Fancy! Highly recommended and would love to return.

I'm being super picky here, for most it would be considered great, but- Breakfast buffet could be better. There was available: fresh fruit, cereals, bread, spreads, salad, cheese, cold cuts, and sausages and bacon served for buffet, plus a menu for eggs etc. We ordered from the menu, French toast and poached eggs, both were cold inside, obviously precooked, refrigerated, served not heated through. The execution just needs a tweak in the kitchen. I'd recommend them to serve eggs in a bain marie as part of the buffet, as other hotels.

We absolutely loved our stay in the 2 bed villa. It was immaculate and huge, with a good sized plunge pool. Each bedroom has a large en-suite shower room and there is also a separate downstairs toilet in the living area. There is a second 'lounge' just off the bedroom upstairs which can be converted into a third bedroom with two proper single beds (not sofa beds). We asked for these to be made up and they did it straight away. You do have to walk through this room to get to the main bedroom but that didn't bother our kids as they sleep soundly! The two on site pools were great and never busy. The staff were incredibly friendly. The location is a bit away from everything but you can walk to shops and bars within ten mins if you want. We ended up taking taxis as it was hot during our stay but walking isn't insurmountable! The breakfast was also very good, as were the food and drinks that we purchased. We also used the free paddleboards and kayaks, which was fun. The tide on the beach can be low so its not ideal for swimming at times, unless you go quite far out, but that didn't bother us.

Slight road noise can be heard from the villas and garden pool due to its location but you can't hear any road noise when down at the beach pool.

Both garden and beach pools very clean and nice. Preferred garden pool just because it was more secluded and bigger with different levels. Small beach was nice as well. Dining restaurant overall was ok - had western and Thai options.

When we arrived and shown to our room, we found the patio door did not close properly. While their maintenance guy did attempt to fix the issue, we were disappointed that this occurred in the first place. After a complaint, management did provide an updated suite, which was appreciated. Room was great except the shower drain did not work properly and a bad smell emanated from the drain, from the which turned us off - turns out it was clogged. While breakfast was included, would have been nice to have a different variety as it was the exact same spread daily. Ordered different variations of eggs and did not enjoy.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and accommodating, the gardens lush, and the views stunning. Our sea-view room, with oversized king bed, was spacious, spotless, and featured direct access to a shared infinity pool. The restaurant offered variety, with the standout being the fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented Thai dishes—truly delicious. If you're seeking warm, friendly staff, excellent Thai cuisine, and a beautiful setting, this resort is a great choice. Thanks! 🙏

The only downside was the location, requiring costly taxis to get to restaurants, shopping, etc, although there is a complimentary shuttle service to the local village.
