We recently stayed at The Standard X Phra Arthit in Bangkok, and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is modern and beautifully designed, reminiscent of an art gallery. Everything, from the public areas to the rooms, was impeccably clean. Our room was incredibly spacious, featuring a comfortable bed, plush pillows, and a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The thoughtful design truly enhanced our stay. The staff, especially Mrs. Mo, were exceptionally polite, professional, and always ready to assist. The location of the hotel is simply perfect. It’s just steps away from a vibrant street filled with restaurants, cafés, and so much more. The convenience of having the river tour boat right in front of the hotel was another highlight for us. While we thoroughly enjoyed most aspects of our stay, we did encounter a small issue at the pool. Unfortunately, the staff at the pool bar were inattentive, which detracted from the otherwise high standard of service throughout the hotel. For example, there were no pool towels readily available, and when we requested assistance, the response was slow and unengaged. Additionally, it was difficult to order drinks, as the pool staff seemed absent. This was a missed opportunity, as we had plenty of time to relax at the pool and would have loved to enjoy the bar service. Lastly, one suggestion for improvement would be to add some form of shade to the balconies. It would make the space even more enjoyable, allowing guests to sit outside comfortably without direct exposure to the sun. Despite these minor setbacks, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to others. The design, cleanliness, spacious rooms, and outstanding location are reasons to highly recommend this hotel.We look forward to returning in the future!

Comfy bed, clean room, and great cleaning staff. Free to use robe, a bluetooth speaker and minibar. Slippers would be a nice addition. Drinking water, coffee and tee included in the room is of great quality and we appreciate that alot. Good location very very close to pier, many restaurants, only a bit away from nearest metro/train detracts from the location but that is true of the whole khao san-area. Great breakfast in cozy restaurant, also cozy dinner location. Rooftop pool is great but closes early in the evening and has a bar also that is open longer. Lobby has a good smell and this is not a classic style hotel but modern and "alternative" with interesting art and decoration. Staff is great and always smiling.

AC a bit loud and vibrating, although effective at cooling, turning on and off alot but it did not bother us alot after we got used to it. It is also heating up the already warm balcony. We turned it off while using balcony. Balcony furniture not comfortable, it needs padding. Spotlight is blinding you in the night plus a decoration sign for the facade is blocking a bit of the great view over the canal and the intensive and entertaining boat traffic there. Also had some small ants around one of the outlets in the room but they were dealt with the first evening and did not return.

Lovely modern arty hotel with spectacular views of the river and amazing sun sets! Right next to the jetty for the hop on/off ferry, giving you easy access to loads of the must-see sights and temples. Across the road from relaxing Rambuttri Alley with its numerous bars, restaurants, market stalls, street food, and massage parlours. Lively Koa San Road is about 10 mins walk away. The rooftop pool is a decent size and depth. Food and drink is served all day at the pool bar. Breakfast, which was tasty, was part buffet and part made to order. The staff were all lovely and we would highly recommend the hotel and the area.

Brand new hotel, excellent location, very good breakfast. The staff is kind and the lobby looks like a beautiful art museum! The breakfast takes a bit, but the options are worth it, I especially enjoyed the salmon avocado toast and the poached eggs. You also have the boat station right in the back of the hotel, and 7 Eleven and ATM right near the hotel.

Only 2 smoking facilities (ground floor and swimming pool), bot without chairs. Not permitted to smoke on balcony - this should be mentioned when booking. Also, sound insulation between room and hallway is a bit lacking.

We stopped twice at this great hotel, to start and end our Thailand trip. We can only strongly recommend this place because of: - Attentive and friendly employees - Cleanliness of the overall hotel and rooms - Nice feel you get when you enter (a bit of abstract art, however it doesn’t feel cold) - Very nice food at Bang restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) - View over the river, when eating and/or drinking at Bang or when having a room facing the river - Location: easily taking a boat to the different main attractions, several good restaurants in the neighbourhood (e.g. Khiang (noodles), Bur Bar (really good hamburgers and fries), Ranee’s Velo (very nice Italian, making fresh pasta and real wooden pizza oven))

All was perfect

My wife had her birthday, and the amazing reception manager helped me with flowers and bubbly, which was really great and super well organised. They kept my wife in the secret while also a birthday cake was delivered. The hotel has a really cool indie graffiti vibe with a superb coffeshop in the lobby with a craft shop that really sells nice things made by local artists, which you won't find in any other souvenir shop. Worth buying gifts there and helping the local artists. We had a very lovely room with gorgeous view and balcony over the river. The rooftop bar was excellent,, especially with the swimming pool and the views and the restaurant. Shout out to the lovely restaurant manager who always takes time to get to know the guests. We liked the breakfast as well. Good coffee, plenty of options and order eggs fresh from menu. The location is amazing. Close to the palace and next to the boat station where you can take a waterbus all around the city and close to the crazy party street but you will not hear any noise from the hotel at all which is ideal. Don't forget to do a sunset cruise. We can highly highly recommend staying at Standard X. Hope to come back. Thanks for everything

If there would be one tiny thing which is funny is that because the boat station is in front of the restaurant and hotel that you will hear the boat guys whizzling very loud to get the tourist to board the boat faster but you get used to it and you won't hear it at night

I cannot say enough good things. From the moment you walk in you can just tell that it is a clean and beautiful place to stay. Even smells incredible in the lobby. I had a king on the river room and would highly recommend. It was very spacious, extremely clean and had a beautiful view and extremely comfortable bed. Outside of the hotel, being great on its own, the location could not be better. It is in front of one of the main ferry pick up and drop off stations which makes it incredibly easy to get around the city. It is also very close to some of the main streets that people like to visit. About a 10 minute walk from Khaosan Road. But in between, there are tons of wonderful restaurants and beautiful places to sit outside and grab a bite to eat or have a beer or just people watch. The hotel restaurant BANG is also very good and right on the river, incredibly accommodating staff, especially Nueng! place to get food or drinks. And then there is the rooftop pool, which is beautiful 360° view with nice drinks good seating areas. Overall, better experience than I could have imagined. Even all the little products from the shampoo to coffee in the room was incredible.

Nothing to say, everything was perfect.

The locaction is great if you plan on using the water ferries for transportation up and down the Chao Phraya River. It is right next to the Phra Arthit pier station. Has a rooftop pool and bar with great river views. It's probably the best choice to be near all the temples and historic tourist attractions. I need to give a shout-out to Moe the manager. We had an issue and she did what she could to rectify the situation. One more thing they have a coffe shop in the reception area that serves one of the best flat whites we've ever had.

Please use the safe for your valuables, when traveling. I did not and I regret it.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Standard X. Our room was spacious and very thoughtfully designed with beautiful robes that are available for purchase. The rooftop pool area has plenty of sun loungers, a bar as well as a gorgeous sunset view. The restaurant downstairs has a great happy hour with delicious 2 for 1 drinks. It was a pleasure to spend time there watching the sun set over the river. The location is also extremely convenient to take the “hop on hop off” tourist boat which leaves from right in front of the hotel. Last but not least the staff were incredibly friendly, making sure we always had everything we needed. Thanks to the Standard X for such a great stay!

Great location, in walking distance from the main touristic attractions. Amazing facilities, very clean and comfy room. The size of the room was more than enough with a beautiful view from the balcony. The bed was extremely comfy. We had amazing sleeps! They offer free welcoming drinks. At last, the breakfast was extremely modern, as you could order from a menu delicious bites, plus bread and accompaniments which you could serve yourself.

There's nothing to mention here. Everything was perfect!
