The space was beautiful and relaxing, especially for people who enjoy a vintage vibe. The food is also fantastic, and we ended up eating dinner there which we highly recommend if you're looking for a break from Thai food!
I would never again take them up on their taxi service booking to the airport. It was expensive and a regular taxi. The driver they arrange got lost on the way to the airport and took us almost 2 hours out of the way. We ended up running through the airport and almost missed our flight. Not really on the hotel: But be cautious on the taxi service and make sure you get a taxi driver/service you trust.

The great interior, very helpful staff, comfortable bed and a good air conditioning
I would expect better amenities for this type of a hotel… there was no hair conditioner, no body lotion… though the hotel branded cosmetic seems to be good and smell nice

Rooms are huge and so luxurious
Some of the staff is not super helpful and almost rude and not very well versed with client service, with some exceptions that knew what they were doing! Wish there were more focused on vegan food

You're here for the aesthetics, and honestly that's the charm of the hotel! It feels like you're staying on a movie set. Staying the night allows you to take your time to soak in the decor and details of the hotel, but also you can take your time taking all the photos you want after the day tourists in the restaurant have come and gone. The night time vibe here is also well worth the experience. The rooms are plenty spacious and also in-theme; just don't be an a**hole and turn it into an entire production, they're very clear on their policies around having extra people in the rooms. Just behave, and you'll have a lovely time! Staff are mostly lovely, though some of the restaurant staff act a little suspicious of you, but that's because they deal with a lot of casuals that simply show up, cause a nuisance with their "photo shoots" and then leave without spending much at all, so I understand where they're coming from. Lastly, the location is great, there's so many cool bars and restaurants in walking distance that are absolutely worth checking out! G.O.D was our personal favorite. Overall an excellent jumping off point for food and bar exploration in Chinatown, but also a very short cab ride to the key attractions like the Reclining Buddha temple and the Grand Palace.
The bathrooms in our room were not very convenient – due to the design, when you shower the water just gets everywhere and floods the area which was a pain, but it was what it was.

Very cool looking with lots of lovely things to look at. Great bed and bedding. Beautiful marble in bathroom. Lovely bath in our room (deluxe with balcony). Friendly staff. Gorgeous toiletries.
- breakfast is more style over quality - room service not chargeable to the room, very inconvenient - over priced - room was incredibly hot on check in, a fan would have been a nice touch - our room was sold as the best room - deluxe with balcony. Actually was 5 small unusable balconies. Would not bother going for this room as the others looked just as lovely and cheaper and won’t matter about the balcony. The owner has done a great job with the styling but it means the hotel has only Instagram appeal and misses the mark on the luxury touches of a great hotel - real shame !

I recently stayed at the Mustang Blu Hotel in Bangkok, and I was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff always ready to assist. My room was clean, tidy, and surprisingly spacious, featuring a comfortable bed. I also enjoyed eating at the restaurant, which offered a delicious dishes and a relaxed atmosphere. Situated within walking distance of vibrant Chinatown, where you can indulged in amazing street food. The area is lively, filled with great bars and coffee shops, contributing to a fun vibe. Plus, it’s easy to navigate around the city by car, making it convenient to visit malls and other attractions. I highly recommend staying here for anyone looking to experience the best of Bangkok!

Standing in reception at Mustang Blu you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve stumbled onto the set of an Addams Family movie, written by Agatha Christie and directed by David Lynch. The space is filled with reconstructed animal skeletons, life-like taxidermies, and curio collections from a century or more ago – there’s even a harpsichord in the dining area. The music drifting through the space adds the David Lynch element; a carefully curated playlist that segues from haunting solo versions of Saint Saëns’ ‘The Swan’ to dark ballads by Nick Cave, instrumental-backed narrations by voices stained with years of whisky and cigarettes, and numerous other sonic rarities. The rooms themselves continue the theme. Angular walls, wooden floors and high ceilings abound, adorned with peeling paint and velvet drapes, and furnished with antique furniture, glass cabinets, old-world telephones, and a plethora of aged books. The bathrooms, meanwhile, feature marble floors and free-standing tubs fitted with Victorian-era fittings that actually work. The overall effect is of a place that’s rich in history, fit for luxurious living but not afraid to show its scars. Converted from a building that was at one time a bank and at another time an opium den and bath house, the Mustang Blu does not shy from its past but amplifies it. I’ve stayed in much more expensive hotels and they’ve all been very opulent, but opulence is easy – with enough money you can buy it off the shelf. The Mustang Blu offers ‘atmosphere’, which is much harder to acquire than opulence. You can’t buy atmosphere, you have to make it using a careful examination of all the senses Considering the rooms, the décor, the aromas, the incredible food, the well-educated staff and the over-arching authenticity, the Mustang Blu adds up to being much more than a place to stay. It’s an experience. Every visitor to Bangkok should adjust their budgets to allow a night there – or, at the very least, a meal.

If you like unique hotel stays, Mustang Blu is a must. It's like staying in a quirky museum that has all of the comforts of home. I booked what I think is their largest room- Room 201- because I'm a photographer and was obsessed with the space. It looks just as good in person if not better than the photos! The staff are super friendly and helpful- the breakfast is top notch- and you must have a meal in their restaurant. The food was tasty and the presentation was fantastic. Adding some iPhone photos to my review as I haven't had time to edit the good stuff yet!
There's really nothing I didn't like- I imagine the accommodation and restaurant would be seen as pricy to some relative to the rest of Thailand, but for me it was worth it to stay somewhere so unique. This one is really one of a kind.

This hotel is simply exceptional, and probably the most beautiful one I've ever stayed at. The renovation concept is brilliantly executed, to the point that the hotel itself becomes an art piece. The decoration is full of actual antique pieces put together with a lot of taste. Staying there is a unique experience.
Alas, the place suffers from the noise coming from the street and, to some extent, from other rooms. The description does warn about noises, and the bath kit comes with ear plugs, but the place would be even better if the windows were soundproof.

Amazing unique hotel, one-of-a-kind and beautiful. You'll love it! Breakfast was superb and huge. Enough options that you can eat there for 4 days and not run out of menu options.
Only problem was the room has a bit of a musty/mildewy smell especially when the AC is off, but it is a very old building so to be expected. Also, the restaurant is sometimes booked for events on the weekends and then kitchen/bar staff aren't available to take orders during events, but when that happens you can just go to any bar in the area, there are lots!
