The staff are so so sweet and friendly, pool area was so clean and loved the sauna. The room was huge and felt more like an apartment which I loved! Shower was nice and hot, I was so impressed with this hotel

The big downside was the WiFi was very poor very limited connection in the room or around the pool, browsing was slow but couldn’t watch videos or make WiFi calls. If they improved the WiFi I would 100% stay here every time in Bangkok

Metro station is not very close. To check - in you have to pay a deposite.

Great apartment with space for family of 4 with a Fridge. Swimming pool, sauna and gym. Interesting neighbour hood - shuttle bus to Shopping mall Fortune City, good for electronics- underground stop & access to Central Rama 9 shopping mall. Exchanged money at Siam Bank in Fortune City, best rate we found anywhere!

Kind of a pain having to get out of room & wait for it to be checked to get the deposit back at checkout, especially at 5.30am but minor complaint. Would still recommend! And while there is a fridge there are no cooking/reheating facilities- eg microwave.

The room was nice and clean and comfy. Overall good

I booked a room with a balcony so I can smoke there and when I arrived the staff told me I cannot smoke in the balcony for some reason but that was weird because I wasn't planning to smoke in the room, only in the balcony so I dont understand why is that. They should tell that in advance.

Cleanliness and the pool

I wish the rooms had microwaves or at least there was one available for use in the lobby. Also, I wish laundry service would be more readily accessible and not so expensive.

We stayed 3 nights. It was out of the city, a nice quiet area. Literally bang in the middle of everywhere really. Cafe and 7/11 literally next to the hotel, 10 yards at most. Great for grabbing snacks and water etc. massive fridge in the room so this was a bonus. The hotel was 10 minutes from the temples, 10/15 minutes from the closest mall, 15 minutes from Koh San road and the night life (not our interest that’s why we wanted to stay in a quiet area). Grab is definitely great to have, so easy to order taxis. Taxi times could be longer especially in rush hour as we waited in traffic a lot. The room itself was clean a big, like a mini flat but without a kitchenette. It was clean and good having the insect door if we wanted the balcony door open. Staff were attentive when I requested extra toilet roll, an iron (and ironing board) and towels. The gym was good too. We didn’t go in the pool but we went to have a look at it at night and it looked nice.

It was fairly basic and the room was old fashioned but it did the job. The bed was fairly hard and we only had one pillow each (fine but do like 2 mostly).

Super clean large spacious room , great onsite facilities including well equipped gym and pool/ sauna. They have strong good wifi and staff super helpful friendly. Free Shuttle that runs every hour to the closest station RAMA 9, 7/11 directly next door.

Proximity to station - 20 mins walk to main station or shuttle with traffic - it looks closer on the map than it is. If you need something time efficient then it’s better to stay closer to a station in town. Wish the gym / pool opened before 9am so i could have gymned early. no cooking in room rules - meant not even late night pot noodles - which would have been appreciated on our late arrival with no food options around. understand they don’t want cooking or mess/ smells but simple noodles (not near the bed) would have been helpful as we were on budget too.

The staff, amenities and location are perfect! Everything was attended to and the rooms are big, modern and very comfortable! The location gets you pretty much everywhere (with the slight exception to Chinatown as its a bit of a distance) easily. Quick walk will bring you to every type of street food you can imagine and there are so many big beautiful markets near enough to walk to as well. I would live in this property if I was living here. Whether you are a solo traveler, couple or family, I couldn't recommend this property more! I am so excited to return!! Make sure to ask questions at the front desk when you go out to explore because they know all the local secrets and are happy to share! #1 property in Bangkok! The surrounding area is lively and there are places open till late late night but it is also quiet and very family friendly. Though you can take a quick moto ride to Nana for example and have all the chaos you want if that's what you are looking for. The market (walkable) just north is open till 5am. In theory one's night need never end! Lastly, the food and prices in this area are better than anywhere in the city by far!

I fully regret leaving to go to another part of Thailand after a few weeks! I should have stayed and just done day trips because the property is so comfortable !

Best part of B.U. Place are the staff! Incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and helpful, we had a great experience with them. The rooms were clean, the building was very safe and secure, and the amenities like the pool and gym were immaculate and well maintained. The area around the building is lively and full of smiling local food vendors, restaurants, coffee shops, massage/salons, and the very close 7-Eleven means you can get anything you need quickly. We'd easily stay here again, and recommend to any of our friends/family to stay here.

A little far from the train station

I’ve been staying in BU for over 20 years every time I visit my family. It’s convenient and local to Phra Ram 9 for MRT, central mall. They offer free shuttle bus but you can walk to central in 12 mins. Staff are always great, it’s always clean. They change towels, make up room every day unlike some hotels. 7/11 right downstairs and cafe Amazon. Great value for money, in the heart of proper local Thai area that’s not full of tourists or overpriced property. You can also leave your luggage with reception for a few days when you come back to bkk again.

There used to be a BU restaurant downstairs where cafe Amazon was over the years, shame that’s been taken away. WiFi can be annoying having to re-log in but if you have a Thai sim it’s not a big deal. One key card issued when you need it to swipe into level 5 to swim but someone else needs the key to also get into the room or pass the security doors along the corridor.
