There was so much to like about this property. The location was spot on. Parking adjacent to the property costs 6 CHF per day (very reasonable), but isn't always available at peak times (it is the railway station car park). I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and had no problem parking, but when I left mid afternoon on Monday 2 cars were waiting for my spot. The hotel was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the small bathroom was clean and perfectly adequate for a night or two. The shower was amazing! The self check in was smooth, although I personally would like to see a little more cover over the key pad where you key in your access code outside the building. Secure wifi was appreciated, as was the water in the room. Only a coffee machine (no kettle) which suited me fine, but 3 coffee capsules and only 1 creamer was a bit odd. I just went downstairs and bought some more creamer though. The train station offers a couple of decent take aways and there are several restaurants nearby. There is a supermarket underneath the hotel which is open 7 days a week from 6am - 11pm.

The one issue I had, was after specifically requesting a quiet room, I was put directly above the Coop supermarket. This meant I was plagued by the noise of the constantly opening and closing sliding doors. Aside from that the room was actually quite quiet but the noise was annoying.

Nothing to add. As a basic hotel, the Schweirzerhof is a very good one.

Friendly staff, easy check in, close to station, very clean and modern feel. Convenient shopping nearby until late night.

A dog barked repeatedly during the night. One can hear steps outside. There is no way to lock the room door independently from the inside. Door can be opened with code only. Code can be observed by people standing outside as it is displayed in large letters on the screen for several seconds during checkin process. Would have felt safer with an extra chain to lock the door from the inside.

The design, the equipment, the on-call availability, the cleanness

my 1st level room window was in front of the train station -> direct light from the street in front of my window and the curtains were not enough dark to stop light. -> could be better. Road noise was more than what I would expect, even with widows closed, I was surprised of the night traffic.

Very clean. Simple, well-thought-out room with pleasantly neutral decor (no pictures). Controllable climate.

A bit of street/train noise that admittedly goes with its location (the railway station). We do not like “canned music” and that seemed to fill most public areas.

I would highly rate the room at Hotel Schweizerhof a truly comfortable accommodation. I had the pleasure of staying there recently and was satisfied by the quality and coziness of the room. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the room was well-appointed with all the necessary amenities.

The bathroom's pipe emitted a highly unpleasant odor. We had to close the bathroom's door to avoid it

Cheap parking fee, next to any location in the city. Breakfast just below the hotel in a bakery.

The location is directly at the main train station, so a bit noisy. But I'm quite sensitive to noise and still had a relaxing sleep.

Easy access (self automated check in), room setup and cleanness. Convenient parking. Well isolated rooms (although railway station nearby). Good Breakfast at the nearby bakery, very friendly personnel.

Elevator missing

Staff is not helpful. No one helps with luggage, you need to carry luggage to the stairs yourself , there is no elevator. Also the staff is not there for weekend. So if you need an iron for example, there is no way you can ask for it

The place was ok - clean, breakfast in the shop next to the hotel. We liked it. For one night it was ok.

It is located next to railway station and it was a little bit loud in the night. I think also the price was very high for such a small city.
