I provided my own breakfast. The property provided a very warm and welcoming sense of energy, which I feel if I were staying at the home of a highly trusted friend or family. It was a special type of energy not usually present at many hotels and one, which was quite remarkable.

One or two late nights there was the odor of burning organic material most likely due to smoking cigarette effluents diffusing into my room. It happened two early mornings. My room at your facility was an ideal version of a studio apartment I once occupied in the Warehouse District in New Orleans, Louisiana, during my graduate student studies at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Like my New Orleans experience, my stay at your facility has been the harbinger of much positive synchronicity in my professional and non-professional life,

I stayed two days in Guest House University. At the beginning I was unsure to book a room due to its low rating. However, it exceeded my expections as a guest house. The staff was very responsive and kind to the messages from booking app. Location was more than excellent. Self check-in was super easy (it took literally 30 seconds). The room was clean and big enough for a single person. Although I did not use the kitchen, it looked clean and was equipped very well. The bathroom was big enough and quite clean as well. After the stay, I requested an invoice and they provided in the same day. On top of all, it is one of the cheapest place where you can stay in Lugano.

There is nothing I did not like.

Checking in without giving them credit card number over the phone was not available, even thou it’s strictly agains Booking rules. Payment of city tax is possible only by local app if you have Swiss phone number or by giving them CC. Lost a lot of time arranging this checking and trying to avoid giving CC over the phone. Unsuccessfully.

The room was basically a small studio apartment with kitchenette and bathroom. It was quite spacious for 1 person. The bathroom was very clean and had window. The room had several power outlets.

The room was too hot and did not have air conditioning. The sound isolation was not very good and I could hear a lot form the other rooms and the street

Staying in Room 8, quite at night, cosy bed and the pillows too but found the memory pillows in room 11 much better. Clean bathroom and toilets. Close to bus stops and places for fetch food and drinks.

The shower could be a little bit bigger in order to have more room instead of bumping to the wall al the time.

Layout inside the room like beds were good. The kitchen was good fully functional with all utensils and required curtelary. It's quite good for family travelers. Public transport is on the side and opposite, very convenient.

No lift is available, so if carrying heavy luggage, it is slightly inconvenient, but still OK and manageable.

Good location - walking distance from the lake front and facilities etc.

Quite complicated communications for access arrangements, but once all of the codes etc were worked out, it was fine.

I liked my room, the self check-in and also the location. I loved the coffee machine too. I really enjoyed my time there. I'll be back for sure.

Some noisy people with kids

The heating was set very high, too high for me, had to keep the window open (in December), what a waste of energy! Also, there should be an electric plug on both sides of the bed. For the rest, it was excellent.

Clean and tidy, good location with public transport nearby. Walking distance from bus and train stations equally. Easy self check-in with clear instructions.

Payment of city taxes via email was not ideal.
