Biggest key point, remember to finish the form the location sends you and note the PIN they give you which is five digits. That five-digit number entered into the terminal at the main entrance will give you a six-digit code which is both your front door code and your room code. Remember to take a photo of the screen displaying this with your phone so you don't forget/lose your room code. Also remember there's no staff on site except the cleaning staff who come in the morning. There is a way to call them or communicate through the terminal at the entrance. Communication via messaging on the booking.com site was fine. I've stayed here once before. The rooms are fine for what I needed, just remember Swiss plugs are different to much of Europe so make sure you have an adaptor specifically for Switzerland. There's also no kettle in the room so make sure you have your own means to boil water if you need it. The key factors for me were price (relative to other locations in Zurich) and location. It's both within walking distance of Kloten railway station and the international airport (the route is clearly signposted from across the street and down to the right a bit from the main entrance). I made a point to learn the route from the airport to the hotel this time on foot (last time thanks to the signposts, I was able to walk from the hotel to the airport successfully even though I'd never done it before). There's also an Aldi nearby and several other shops including a Migros. There are also many bus stops but I haven't used those myself. To summarise, the rooms were fine and the big selling points were location (close to the airport and Kloten railway station) and price.

Not a complaint but this time unlike last time, there were a lot of people arriving around the same time and it's quite easy to see the screen of the log in terminal for other people's room codes and other people to see yours when it's first generated on the screen. So, remember to give people some space and that you're being given some when logging in for the first time. Also make sure you're at the correct place/booked the right location. I helped someone get to Kloten railway station to go back to Zurich Hauptbahnhof because they were meant to be at Swiss Star Irchel and had been given directions to Kloten instead.

Quiet location

To many emails prior to checking but still hard to figure out what code we need to check in

Very clean and comfortable. Fully equipped. Good sized bathroom. Great proximity to the airport and shops and restaurants. Even though there is no reception the staff replied to my email immediately.

The blinds remained shut as the mecanism was broken. I had to put the light on during the day and it was not possible to air the room even if you opened the window. The external blinds were down and shut. At some point someone entered into my room. They received the same code and the same room as me. This is a security issue. This should never happen.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, the facilities were clean and great for the price. Best of all, I could walk to the airport on a pedestrian path in about 20 minutes because the cheap taxis (Zurich Airport Taxi for 14 Sfr) were unavailable to book online.

Check in on the large monitor was a bit confusing because the button to "continue" was in red. Should be green and say "continue." Someone happened to be there to help. Be sure to take a picture of your room code. If exiting, your number should be keyed on the little key pad and not on the big monitor.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a very quiet night before going to the airport early in the morning. Around the corner (3min walk) there is a bus station ("Zum Wilden Mann") that takes you to the airport in 3 stops. A lot of bus lines are frequently leaving from there. The owner of the little bar, outside the apartment house, was very very friendly and helpful.

The parking is extra, which I wasn't aware of at the time of booking - this could be made a bit clearer. Also it was a bit of a back and forth booking the car park. They ask for my credit card details, which I don't like to send via email - they could set up a different payment system for that to make it more convenient.

To be honest we only used the room for the day as we had a big case and would have had to wait at the airport for a long time so we used this room as a place to be for 4-5 hours, slept, made drinks etc. It was surprisingly good and better than what we had thought. Store around the corner and we were able to walk to the airport.

Im not sure on the location really unless using for airport but to be fair i have not done much research on what is around the building. Zurich is a bit of an effort to get to on the train which is where we travelled from.

A very nice, small apartment in a convenient location near a train station and supermarkets. Entry was by keypad and details were sent in advance, it all worked perfectly. The apartment was clean, comfortable beds, fresh bedding and towels. It also had cooking facilities but a kettle would have been a useful appliance as we had to boil water in a saucepan to make a cup of morning coffee. I would have given it 10/10 but it was unfortunately let down by the neighbours. Groups of foreign men (not Swiss) gathered in the car park directly outside the window and sat drinking and making noise late into the night. As it was very hot outside we had the windows open but the people in the next apartment were smokers and had their heads out the window and smoke came directly into our apartment. I know its not the fault of the providers of the accommodation but something to bear in mind. If you don't like smoking or a group of foreign men (not Swiss) drinking beer and talking all night directly under your window then it might not be suitable. That aside there is no nothing wrong with the apartment and doesn't reflect on the owners of the accommodation which was excellent.

needed a simple place to stay on our last evening in zurich before flying out the next morning. this checked all those boxes. it's simple. zero and I mean.. Zero.. interaction with any staff. no one is there. it's all self check in. it went fine. big rooms . high pressure shower. comfy beds. all you need for one night before a flight. plenty of nearby food options. our room actually looked better in person than images. I can only speak for the 2 bdr version

if you have a problem with check in, I can see it being a real headache since their is absolutely no staff on-site.

A modern, spotlessly clean small apartment with a mini-kitchen, for a comfortable sleep during a night-time flight layover. The distance from the terminal can be walked in about 20 mins if you're not carrying heavy baggage.

Not all pairs sharing a double bed -whether couples or small siblings - like sharing a double blanket. Plus, these were too thin. The entrance code procedure is easy, but beware that there are two entrances - nos. 22 and 24 - and you may have trouble finding your room if you enter through the wrong one.

It's really conveniently located at an affordable price, especially in comparison to what costs can reach in Switzerland. Perfect for when you just need somewhere to stay and you're out most of the day. There's no direct dealing with any kind of reception staff, the only people you might meet are the ones who clean the rooms. The password for the Internet Wi-Fi was on the notice behind the front door for me. Within walking distance of Kloten railway station (don't mix up on return journeys with the one called Kloten Balsberg!) but you can actually walk from the hotel to the airport. Quite a lot of us did that, you start by crossing the street from the entrance towards the walking path which is signposted which is just diagonally across the street. It would be easier to catch a cab from the airport the first time or at night (my driver preferred cash so it's handy to have some). Lots of bus stops even closer than Kloten but I personally didn't use those

No complaints, just be aware there's no onsite staff or keycards, so make a note or take a photo of your passcodes (the one you get for your booking and then the one you get after entering that for your room). Make sure you have the right adaptor plugs (it's not the two pin round ones for Europe and there was only Swiss plug points in my room) and there isn't a kettle or any tea/coffee etc. There is an Aldi in walking distance as well as a Migros if you need food and the like.
