Well placed for the proximity of the ferry to UK, with secure parking for motorcycles. Also very close to the train station. I have stayed at Hostal Liebana many times and I think it is very well priced for a stay there. Everything works as it should, the rooms have always been clean. The beds are comfortable, some of the doors have had paint knocked off them, sadly!! by traveller's baggage. I can recommend this hostal for budget conscious motorcyclists. It is well placed for eating locally and for a few drinks. The hostal is also a quiet hostal.and about ten minutes walk to the classic area of Santander. The only thing I am not keen on is the breakfast, but there are plenty of other places to.eat nearby. I'd say worth a try if on a budget!!

I booked this hotel for me & my friend honestly sceptical about the reviews but honestly it was great! The location was great, although the staff didn’t speak English it was clear what they were trying to say. Some of the reviews imply this hotel wasn’t clean, which is completely false, our beds were changed everyday, with fresh towels and bins everyday. Very friendly cleaners! The beds aren’t extremely comfortable but certainly not bad

The walls weren’t that thin but enough to briefly hear some other conversations and… night time activity…

I really like this hostal and have stayed here many times. It's so clean and the staff are really helpful. I always come back here as I know I'll be very comfortable, especially with my kids. The receptionist put us in a room on the 5th floor with the most amazing views of the bay! I booked two nights more as we are so happy!

This is a budget hotel, not the Ritz. It was good value for money and clean.

Basic hotel/hostel (I had a private room with private shower), perfectly fine for one night stay, particularly if flying to/from Santander airport. Located less than 10 min walk from the central bus station from where buses go to different other cities and there is a shuttle bus to the airport every hour. Sea port is also nearby. Beach/seafront is 10-15 min walk, central beach is about 1 hour walk along a nice seafront, but there are frequent city buses if walking is not an option. The stuff was very friendly although did not speak english. Nevertheless, it was possible to communicate somehow and understand each other. Room was intended for 3 or 4 people, but I stayed there alone, so it was large enough for 1 person.

Very tiny shower, but understandable considering central location. Probably could be not very convenient for long stays, but fine for short stay.

The staff were fantastic in this comfortable and well located hostel. The hostel is old fashioned but very clean. Any issues were dealt with quickly and professionally by staff, with the customer at the heart of this establishment. The shower was fantastic with adequate washing equipment.

it is very central, clean , the staff are friendly. I often stay there , sometimes with my brother, for one night en route . I stayed by myself this time for 2 nights and it feels safe and the staff are helpful. the room I had had a good view of the sea and sunrise !

Good Location, travelled by motorcycle there is bike parking almost opposite so great.

Very comfortable bed, helpful staff. No hairdryer in room but only had to ask for one. Great value for price.

Building is a bit tired but for the price we paid perfectly fine for an overnight stay waiting for ferry.

The being able to check in at 3.00 in the morning was a godsend after a very late night coach journey from Lugo. I was very grateful. Low price and close to the bus and train stations, ferry and city center and beaches. It even had a bath which I discovered too late to use.
