It was a wonderful stay! The charming landlords did everything to ensure that we were not only well looked after but also felt completely at home. The open living room, which bordered the huge terrace, was open to us, as was the large, well-maintained pool! The day already made us smile in the morning when we were served a sumptuous, lovingly prepared breakfast. To top it all off, Patrick supported us with valuable tips and recommendations. We have rarely experienced such wonderful accommodations!! Thank you Claire & Patrick and ?, unfortunately we have forgotten the name of your lovely help...!
There is absolutly NOTHING!

Everything about this place was splendid. First and foremost, the host was excellent—he couldn't do enough for me. An absolute gentleman. The place was very clean, with lovely decorations, and the veranda offered spectacular views of the mountains, where a delicious breakfast was served. I also sat there in the evening, and it was peaceful and amazing. The room was spacious, with everything I needed, including a mini-fridge, kettle, and coffee and tea. The bed was comfortable. The outdoor pool looked nice. The area is very safe and secure, with gated parking, and there are two beautiful dogs that rarely bark and are just so loving—well-trained and much better than any alarm system. I don’t say this lightly: I highly recommend this place. The host is friendly, social, and just a lovely person. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. One small thing: The Google Maps address will take you there, but it’s about 400 meters off. Google will tell you to turn right after passing the actual place. My advice is to follow Google but don’t turn right onto the uphill road. Just go back around the corner on the flat road where you came from, and you’ll see the white house set back behind the gates around 3 houses down from that corner street that google puts you on. The host is lovely and offers a wonderful breakfast. If you expect to arrive late or are delayed, please have the common courtesy to inform the host of your late arrival. If you wish to check out very early, requesting breakfast is disrespectful, especially after arriving late for whatever reason. It's important to be considerate and respectful of the host's time and efforts. It's nice to be nice, and when the host is a good person, it's important to show respect and thoughtfulness. Although the host is amazing and would accommodate everyone’s needs, don’t take the mickey. :)
This places was absolutely amazing in every way. Highly recommend.

The accomodation is on a beautiful, tree shaded street in a quiet and tranquil residential area, one block from the Drostdy Museum complex (well worth a visit) and gardens. Several restaurants are within easy walking distance. My large, spacious, and well-lit room was on the second floor and looked out over landscaped grounds towards the mountains framing a backdrop to the town. The full English breakfast is cooked to order and served in a spacious common room with a large veranda area for those wishing to enjoy the view outside or braais. My bed was firm but extremely comfortable and covered with a great comforter and duvet. Shower water pressure was excellent as was the WiFi. And Patrick is a gracious host with helpful assistants, helping him to hold down the fort while his wife was in England during my stay.
The accomodation and grounds are actually better in real life than the nice pictures might lead one to conclude. I would not hesitate to stay at The View B&B again!

We stayed here for two nights on our way from Cape Town to the Garden Route to explore De Hoop Nature Reserve. Our room had a very comfortable bed with two chairs, a fridge and a TV with Netflix. There were also cups and glasses as well as coffee powder, tea and milk. The bathroom was large and clean and well equipped with a shower and bathtub. There were also plenty of sockets in the room and on both sides of the bed. The hotel is located in a quiet side street with a view of the mountains. It has a common room and a communal terrace. Breakfast (7 - 9 am) is served either inside or outside depending on the weather. It is prepared by the owners themselves and consists of coffee or tea and orange juice, a beautifully presented glass of muesli, yoghurt and fruit as well as a plate of eggs (p.e. scrambled eggs), bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms and toast with butter and honey. And the breakfast tasted very good and we also really liked the atmosphere in the breakfast area. The owner also gave us tips for our excursion to De Hoop Nature Reserve and for our further trip along the Garden Route. Overall, everyone was super friendly and helpful. We were able to park in the secure courtyard without any problems. There were also restaurants within walking distance.
There was a pool in the garden, but unfortunately there was currently no water in it. As it wasn't that warm in the evenings during our stay, it was no problem for us in this case.

Only stayed one night in this b&b and did not make use of their beautiful well maintained pool. Host gave us excellent suggestions for food options in the evening. Very nice home cooked breakfast. Only difficult was getting in to the property if you are not able to phone to say you have arrived. A door bell or intercom outside would be very helpful. Also a door between the lovely shared living area and the bedrooms would keep it quieter.

This hotel was by far the best place we stayed on our trip. The breakfast was sumptuous and splendid, the welcome we got was like a welcome home, and every need was catered for. The weather was very cold but we we’re delighted to find electric blankets on the bed as well as a heater in the room. The tea and coffee selection was great and we got a cute bar one to snack on each! If we could give 11/10 as a rating we would. Definitely will be back and sad we only stayed one night, thank you Patrick!!

I was up and out of the residence too early to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. I can say the location and access are great. Safe, clean, well furnished and equipped. Mostly, i loved the pool :) Patrick is a wonderful host and shares relevant info easily. As a bonus, they even offer meals for lunch and dinner on order if you want to stay in
Not a problem, but if you are a light sleeper - do not chose pool view room

Great location with spectacular views all around. Ideally situated for visiting tourist sites etc. Hosts were great and very helpful.
The adjacent linking corridor from the main house to the bedrooms, made it very echoey, and amplified any voices, especially when people were getting up or leaving early in the morning.

Patrick and Claire are exceptionally gracious hosts, they exude the perfect kindness and hospitality that all B&B hosts should strive for and welcomed me in despite a super last minute evening booking. Beautiful facilities and lovely breakfast in a safe, serene location. Would recommend 10/10. THANK YOU!
