the location was perfect. close to the beach. had lots of restaurants and coffee shops. if you want to skip a night out, there are 3 grocery stores in the area, 2 located in the same building as the hotel. central to many locations. room a huge and we had a perfect view of lions head. we had everything we needed including a microwave.

right outside the hotel there were homeless people that made me (a woman) feel uneasy. I just had my guard up all the time… but this is in any urban setting. this is not specific to Cape Town or the hotel. that was the just the nature of things.

I love the convince of newkings in terms of location and value for money. The staff are very kind and helpful too. We booked a room with mountain view however it was more the slope of mountain, couldn't see lions head. I've stayed here before where we did have a good room and view however this time the view was mainly just buildings. Great stay none the less

Booked view with mountain but this particular room was more so buildings and a slope of mountain. I've stayed here previously with another mountain view at newkings so I was expecting that and didn't get it this time in this room.

This hotel is definitely a hidden gym in the Sea Point area of Cape Town. We arrived into town earlier than expected and the hotel staff couldn't have been more excited for our arrival. Jamiel particularly made our stay an enjoyable and memorable experience with his knowledge of the local area, hotel information, and warm and hospitable greeting he surely was the icing on the cake to a great weekend! I highly recommend getting a corner table at Zest for great views of the ocean as well as a Juliette balcony room facing the mountain. Both will surely not disappoint! If you're looking for food, there are plenty of places just steps outside of the hotel with every genre imaginable!

The staff were very helpful, responsive and friendly. The room was large, well equipped and clean. The location was excellent and everything we needed was close by. We enjoyed our stay, which was the second time we've been at this hotel, and the good standards have been retained.

The pillows were a little hard and there was some noise from the road at times as well as a bit of door banging as people went through the fire exit to the stairs, which was right outside our door.

Excellent location: plenty of services around, from restaurants to stores, art galleries, and beauty spas. For running/enthusiasts, or even just "vagabonds," there's a great path by the sea that extends for a good distance. Metro stations nearby. Also, for catholics, there's a great welcoming community at walking distance, at Our Lady of Good Hope one feels at home. A must try is the hotel restaurant, Zest, food is exquisite, the view amazing and the staff super friendly.

The location was very central. The room was clean. The staff was lovely. The room service was delicious. The hotel restaurant is amazing. Pillows were comfortable and the bed was huge.

The room was very noisy, from the outside road noise as well as from other guests or staff. The bed was very hard.

A great restaurant just by the hotel lobby. In the same building, ground floor 2 great supermarkets, coffee shops and a wellness juice bar. At basement you can find a service to mend your clothes. The street where the hotel is located has a plethora of restaurants, including one vegetarian/vegan, lovely shops, a small mall all at walking distance. Ubers get there easily and the street although busy isn't noisy.

I think that depending on the team cleaning the room the tidiness was not consistent to my standards.

Newkings Boutique Hotel has so many advantages, starting from a perfect location with the proximity of most popular tourist destinations to having everything one might need while traveling to a different city (Woolworth, Spar, etc.). The staff is always welcoming, 24/7 ready to satisfy every possible need. Highly appreciate your help in making our short stay at Cape a memorable one! We'll definitely come back!!!

I Very comfortable and exactly what i expected

I was very disappointed with the check-out when a gentle man called us back from the street like criminals to say we need to come back for him to check if we have not taken anything from the room or left with an un-sellted bill! off course none of this was the case but if we had a bill to settle, its the hotel's responsibility to ensure that this is done the night before or atleast the bill is posted in the room? because they load the key in the phone and we didn't have anything to settle, we thought we could just leave because we had nothing to settle. I am a Tour Operator with over 20 years of travel experience and found the way this gentleman handled things very inappropriate considering how great everyone else was! the worst part is that he was not even wearing a uniform.

The view of you get a mountain side room is spectacular. The room was so comfy and the hotel was easy to find. The staff were incredible, so helpful. Parking was really easy as well. Also, must try the restaurant Zest inside the block. Amazing food and very reasonably priced. If you book, try and get a table that overlooks the ocean at sunset.
