Yep definitely what we were looking for. Small pool area and a bit of overcrowding esp during hot festive holiday stay and ceiling fans in the main suites not so effective. The restaurant needs to improve. We need freshly prepared items not frozen and warmed up stuff. Iron tied onto the ironing board was a bit disappointing, I think you can come up with something better for security. Otherwise we had a really great time as a family with all the activities offered on site

The place had everything we needed for our stay and most importantly I liked that fact that there were different activities for all ages so my entire family was well catered for

I didn’t appreciate how the cleaner was treating us on our last day we were trying to pack our stuff in the one room and she insisted that she had to clean there I asked her to start with the other rooms whilst I was finishing off she refused instead she moved my luggage bag and started making the bed despite my request. I didn’t appreciate her behaviour and she refused to give us her name

I loved the aesthetic of the place and facilities found in the resort

They need to install heaters and air conditioners not all can stand fireplaces . Change blankets too.

I recently stayed at Alpine Heath for my birthday weekend, and it was a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The accommodation was comfortable, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The resort's facilities were excellent, offering a wide range of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Whether it was exploring the beautiful surroundings or making use of the on-site amenities, there was always something to do. A special mention to the chef, who went above and beyond to accommodate my vegetarian family. The effort put into preparing delicious, specially made vegetarian meals was truly appreciated and made our stay even more memorable. We also had the chance to visit the spa, which was absolutely incredible—one of the best I’ve ever been to! The treatments were top-notch, and it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the experience even more. The only downside was that check-in took a bit longer than expected on the first day, but once we were settled in, everything else made up for it. Overall, Alpine Heath exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a scenic, family-friendly retreat with outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back!

Exception service from the day we checked in Mbali was amazing and welcoming. I got injured whilst hiking on Christmas morning and the guard at the gate called for First Aid and they were waiting for me. Shirley and Steve were phenomenal. I was rushed to Busamed Harrismith. Upon my arrival Mbali made plans to organise me a better chalet that is easily accessible with a wheelchair. Thank you to MaNdaba (housekeeping) for making sure that we get great service.

The staff were absolutely amazing. By far the friendliest and most helpful I have ever dealt with in all my travels.

Our unit was incredibly hot. Especially the upstairs room. It was unusable and we had to share the bottom rooms. Ceiling fan was inadequate and too small for such a high ceiling. We couldn't bare it. Please advise guests to bring their own fans. To be very honest it almost ruined what would have been a perfect get away as everything else was exceptional.

The service and staff at the front desk (especially Ms Mbali), the service in the store, the staff in the kids club like Rashid, the entertainment manager (Mr Qarrim), the bar tenders, the restaurant staff, Vusi with the horse riding and the spa employees made our 2nd last week in South Africa so warm, welcoming and beautiful. The activities for the kids were great, the Sangrias are a must try at Muzo’s restaurant at the Alpine Village and the hikes are beautiful, well marked and family friendly. Thank you!

We would have liked halal food options in the evening buffet or on the menu. However we were able to bring our own meat to braai/ barbecue.

Beautiful location and resort with lots of amenities for adults and kids. We enjoyed the flexibility to prepare some of our own meals, but to also enjoy meals at the restaurant. The food and service were really good.

When we checked in, we were told we hadn't paid and they insisted on payment before checking us in, although we paid in full the day we made the reservation, six months in advance. At the time of our reservation, we requested a specific chalet which we were told was confirmed, but that was not available when we arrived. After working through these two issues we had a really good holiday and the service and amenities were excellent service.

The resort as a whole is very nice. Caters for kids. It is evident that effort is being made to revamp and increase the experience. The rooms were cleaned up and daily. Pleasant staff. My only gripe was dinner at the restaurant. The pizza was amazing and food was good. The food order came in pieces, my daughters pizza took longer then our food. It felt like we were forgotten. Other then that everything else was really good and we will be back.

Dinner at the restaurant. Food was good. Service was poor and kitchen timing was very bad. Wife got her ribs first. Then 30min later two small pizzas arrive and then 15min later my pizza. We didn't get to eat as a family as food was getting cold.

Everything about this place was amazing. The service and welcome when you check-in. Always willing to attend to your queries when you call reception with regards to minor glitches in your unit. They are always ready to come help. They have daily schedule of activities for both kids and adults to make you look forward to in ensuring you don't just remain couped in your unit. Oh I loved this place. I would go back again and again.

Only that the unit we were allocated to had issues with plugs tripping on the DB board every now and then but they were always ready to come and assist with the problem.
