The fitness center is very simple, but has the essentials that you need for a quick overall workout. The wellness area is really nice, especially the outdoor area during winter. To use the saunas you need to adjust to the local customs, but it is totally worth it. The surrounding late and area is beautiful and really nice. Totally worth the visit. The rooms are clean, and nice, but could be upgraded a little. The breakfast is nice.

The hotel is a little outdated, and needs a little of renovation. The comfort of the beds, and pillows were average. For the money you pay it should be a better quality. The restaurants food options were ok, and nothing special. I would recommend to go eat in the near by restaurants, just be aware of the timings as slovakians like to eat very early for dinner.

It was our first time to stay in Hotel Patria. The enviroment of the Strbske mountain lake is breathtaking. The hotel's exterior is in a traditional alpine style and very nicely and modernly on the inside. We appreciared the spacious room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. For breakfast and dinner there was a wide selection of food that tasted great. We relaxed in the beautiful spa. The hotel Patria has excellent value for money. We recommend the stay and look forward to the next stay 🩷.

The staff was friendly, The room (Deluxe Suite) was spacious and comfortable. Good bathroom, super shower, and separate toilet room. A walk-in closet room. Everything was spotless clean. Breakfast was generously rich and tasty. Hotel bar - great for drinks and late night snacks. The wellness area was super. We finished every day in the numerous saunas and jacuzzi pools - GREAT. Location is obviously amazing. All in all - a great stay! We would very much like to be back.

Additional pillows with varying density would be appreciated.

The hotel is located in an incredibly picturesque area. Our windows faced the mountains, and on the other side, there was a stunning view of a mountain lake. There’s also a nearby lift that takes you up over 1,800 meters, offering a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the entire area. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room and the friendly staff. Breakfasts were quite varied, and the large dining area helped avoid any sense of crowding, even though the hotel itself is fairly big.

You can still feel that the hotel was originally built during the Soviet era, but it’s clear that a lot of effort has been made to turn that into a strength. Wooden railings and tiled balconies add a touch of historical charm to the otherwise modern interiors.

Perfect location for exploring the surrounding high tatras region. Lots of restaurants and hiking activities near by. Close to train station. The wellness area is great for relaxing after a day full of activities. There were not a lot of crowds, many different sauna available, hot tubs and a pool. Breakfast had typical options with added local cheeses which were great. Great value for money.

There should be a trash bin in the room, there was only a tiny one in the bathroom. Other then that 0 complaints.

The hotel is perfectly located! Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options to choose from, including vegetarian and even some vegan options. The coffee was great, too. We enjoyed the wellness, especially the sauna outside, even though it can get busy during peak hours. It's nice to see that the hotel gradually invests in refurbishing the space (new shower with good pressure, a new fitnes/gym centre, to name a few examples). Finally, we loved that it was dog friendly.

The hotel has a bit of an old-school look and feel, and could definitely do with some further renovations/refurbishing (e.g., the carpets, paintings, decor overall). There was a really bad smell from the shower drainage every morning, and we spotted several stains on the carpets, both in the room and common areas. The wellness centre is big and offers various options, but again, you can tell it has its age and could be improved (not everything worked 100% well).

The hotel is beautiful and match the environment. Perfectly locate Near the lake and close to all amenities. The WiFi was working very well and we didn’t have any issues during our work. The lady on the reception did an exceptional job and was very friendly and professional!

The staff in the restaurants and bar were sometimes a bit cold, and for some reason the kitchen in the restaurant and outdoor grill closed much earlier than advertised. Seems they just close when it gets quiet so we had to find other places to eat.

Mostly everything. We knew this hotel from 40 years ago when my grandparents stayed there. It was a fancy hotel back then and although it aged, they managed to revamp it in a way that it is a very good value for money. The wellness section has so much variety we could spend the whole day there. Room is spacious and comfortable. Other facilities like kids club and bowling are great addition for families with kids. Location is fantastic, all the main hiking routes pass by the hotel, we didn't even take the car out most days.

I could have done with an electric water kettle and/or coffee machine in the room. Also the whole outdoor area for the wellness is reserved for adults, it would have been nice if the outdoor jakuzzi at least could have been used by kids. I felt bad keeping the kids indoor in such beautiful weather. Buffet breakfast has decent variety although not many items change from day to day, something which we would have enjoyed during our 5 day stay.

The hotel is renovated and all the facilities and fittings are top notch. Location is great, easy to walk out to the lake or start more challenging hikes. The breakfast was very varied and tasty. The 30 Euro buffet dinner was great value. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our window. I didn’t try the other facilities like the pool or sauna etc., but we would love to come back again.

Great hotel in a beautiful location! Very tasty and varied breakfast. You can have dinner at the hotel (€30) or at the on-site bar — we had dinner at the bar and loved it! The room was comfortable, with a fridge, shower, and great mattresses. Only thing missing was a kettle. Free parking for guests. The area is amazing — perfect for walking around the lake or hiking to a waterfall. Highly recommended!
