What a find The Bear Inn is! Delicious dinner and very comfortable overnight stay. The food was extremely good, we had dinner and breakfast, both exceptional. great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, very welcoming feel. What really makes this place shine are the exceptional staff, they can't do enough to help, courteous, polite, very knowledgeable about the food and wines provided. They work to an exceptionally high standard. Our room was beautifully fitted out with no expense spared on the fixtures and fittings, very comfortable bed and stylishly decorated throughout. Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.
Nothing!

Beautifully designed rooms with antiques and lovely vintage accessories and luxe fabrics. Very friendly staff and good food. Each room has its own design and colour scheme with unique accessories. The public spaces are very nice and roomy. The outdoor garden, terrace also great with nice planting and furniture. The staff couldn't be friendlier. Superb breakfast!
Irritating practical issues to do with heating controls and lighting. Underfloor heating is not suitable to a hotel room and the room was cold. The complicated lighting controls were impossible to manage and we couldn't turn on all the lights! That's a first. A simple switch would have been appreciated. The food is good and interesting but beware as the portions are small.

The property is ABSOLUTELY stunning, the rooms are gorgeous with the biggest and comfiest beds you will probably ever sleep on. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was to die for (still dreaming about it now), unlimited drinks and a little breakfast starter was incredible. Me and my friend stayed for a wedding in the local area are were £2 short of the taxi fare, Sharon who was working there gave us £5 as a gesture of goodwill. So grateful for her and all the staff there for making us feel so welcome and helping us since we didn’t arrive back until early hours of the morning.
Nothing at all!

Everything provided was of exceptionally high quality, the towels were extra large and sumptuous, the bed and bedding were cosy, the hairdryer was powerful. The room was large and furniture in keeping with the style. The evening meal was wonderful (not much vegetarian choice but there was some) and the breakfast was perfect. And there was an electric vehicle charger.

The food was exceptional 5* quality for taste. The bedroom was so well appointed with a comfortable mattress. The bathroom and plush towels were delightful, it felt very luxurious. The place was immaculately clean
Main courses at dinner were pricey considering the size. Entree's and desserts were small but price ok. We found the winter quilt too warm in July and the pillows too hard for us. The walk in shower flooded the entire bathroom floor.

The rooms were nicely decorated, very comfortable and well equipped. The staff very helpful and informative. I would recommend eating in the restaurant, the food is contemporary but really lovely. The breakfast is very substantial and caters for all tastes. A very special place to stay
The restaurant prices are a little steep, but they are delicious, artistically presented and Michelin Start standard, and you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend eating here.

The room wasa nice size, comfortable and decor was lovely. Full power shower appreciated Staff helpful and friendly. Food was delicious at the bar in the evening. Lovely breakfast. I had a lovely one night stay. Will be back
The tv kept cutting out on the morning of departure and the WiFi wasn't very strong signal could not text or call. This would not stop me staying again.

Loved this place. The rooms are gorgeous and the food is exceptional.
Tiny comment but the music in the restaurant was not quite in keeping and took away from the experience. It was bad wedding/disco music or pop. Would really elevate it to have something more in keeping with the hip aesthetic e.g. Hermanos Gutierrez, Jon McKiel, Ignacio Maria Gomez, Kevin Morby, Cymande, Drug Cabin, Katy J Pearson, Simon Joyner, Joan Shelley, Dave Van Ronk, Kurt Vile, Charley Crockett, Arooj Aftab, Allah-Las, Kokoroko…the list goes on. Hopefully that helps!

Beautifully appointed rooms with luxurious toiletries and fluffy towels. The pub and restaurant were nicely decorated and staff were efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We ate dinner as well as breakfast, both of which were excellent. The Carpark was large and had the bonus of a charging point for use of residents.
Nothing, everything was really lovely

Absolutely lovely place. The grounds are pristine, beautiful setting. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The bathroom and shower are really well laid out with everything you need. The food was first class and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. This is the sort of place you will want to come back to once you have stayed.
