The pictures online didn't do our room justice. It was bigger than we expected, bed lovely and comfortable, flat screen TV available. Bathroom had a very roomy corner shower with a selection of toiletries. Excellent range of coffee/tea milk and biscuits, and tins of water and cartons of orange juice also provided. Kettle and larger than average mini fridge also included. An electric heater was also in the room for extra warmth if needed. The pub downstairs didn't do evening meals, but we had a lovely lunch there, and were able to sit outside. They did point us in the direction of a lovely restaurant across the road which had lovely food and attentive staff. There was ample breakfast options the following morning, and we can certainly recommend the cooked breakfast! Despite our room being front of house and above the bar, it wasn't rowdy considering it was a Saturday night, and the music level was acceptable and over by midnight. We'd definitely stay there again if we were in the area. Staff friendly and helpful.
Nothing.

Very personal stay as the owner and staff really make you feel welcome and ask frequently if everything is alright, they give tips for walking in the area and dining in restaurants nearby and ask if all was to satisfaction. Sheer luxury to have such service at breakfast, so quick and delicious. Felt really good. Exceeded my expectation. They have a lovely English pub/bar and you can just hop into your room after your drinks, couldn't be any better. The rooms have coffee/tea/juice/kettle/cookies, super. The bathroom has a magnified mirror, there is soap and shampoo. A TV.

Very central and easy to find. Parking available on the road outside. Friendly staff. Clean room with sofa and lots of heaters (not needed when we were there in August). Good sized breakfast. Generous portions for evening meals.
The bed was a bit hard, nothing a mattress topper wouldn't solve. Our room looked over the main road and we may have been unlucky on the Friday night as there was a running party in the street below until 1.30am. On the Saturday night we were asleep by 11 and there was no noise so it's obviously not a constant problem.

Fab staff who were very kind, sorting out a flickering light promptly and organising lovely packed breakfasts. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The tea/coffee station was well supplied and topped up. The price seemed on the slightly more expensive side but we were staying during Badminton Horse Trials.
The property was rather noisy (the rooms are above the pub). Would recommend bringing ear plugs if you prefer an early night.

I had a takeaway breakfast which was quite adequate for my needs. It included a juice drink, water and fruit a pasty, a packet of crisps. However, I don't eat bananas so this I left behind. However, it was well presented and was quite enough for me. I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my room very much. There was adequate linen and good space in the room.
Although my room was clean and comfortable, I could not open the windows and the shower worked well but the water was very slow to submerge, it did eventually go down. I should really have pointed this out to staff but I forgot to do so. Also, because my room was directly over the bar, the evening crowd were quite noisy, which was to be expected. However, this did not really interrupt my sleep or rest as I was very tired from my event and I am a heavy sleeper. A light sleeper may have found falling asleep difficult.

Everything was as you would imagine for a budling of this age, full of character. Staff get a big thumbs up, as does the breakfast. looking forward to my next visit.
Nothing i didn't like, I could be picky about the TV, but i had a good nights sleep and don't care that much about being able to watch the TV, it worked ok, just some channels were not where i thought they would be

The staff were all lovely, breakfast choice was good and it was convenient for a gig at The Ridings with loads of parking outside.
It was a little expensive when considering there was loud music until 00:30, a strong smell of incense, no shampoo in the room and a double bed when the room size would accommodate a bigger bed.

Breakfast choice was good. Freshly cooked to order. Plenty of choice. Served in an attentive and friendly manner. Happily supplied second room key. Offered to take luggage to room. Central location
Stairs to room a little awkward but in keeping with the age of the property. Lighting in bedroom could be improved

I stayed here over a weekend to do a training course for work. I can't fault the room at all. Very spacious, comfy bed, great WiFi, good location (25 min walk from Yate or a 7 min drive) and very friendly staff that go above an beyond. I wasn't able to make their breakfast time for 8:30 but they were willing to make it sooner for me.
This is not a complaint, just something to be mindful off, the room is quite loud (as expected) as it's above a pub. This was to the point where I could hear conversations word for word downstairs and really loud music. Though this did stop shortly after closing time and didn't really bother me as I'm a night owl. If you care about noise, this would be better for a mid-week stay or a weekend night out, but I cannot fault this pub at all. Room was a 10/10 and staff could not have been better.

Excellent location in historic Chipping Sodbury market square. Free parking on the square. Lots of food / drink options available within walking distance. Staff were super friendly.
Its a pub and rooms were basic which meant that the price paid exceeded what i would have expected.
