Lovely hotel with a warm welcome. The gardens are exceptional and I enjoyed watching the wildlife. My view of False Bay was lovely. I needed help with one or two things and everything was sorted out immediately. The breakfast buffet was great - lots of choice and great fresh omelettes. Griszelda was very welcoming in the breakfast room. We were at a conference and the catering was exceptional.

Service was a bit (sometimes very) slow at the restaurant and the terrace by the pool. More storage in my room would have been helpful - so a set of drawers in addition to the small wardrobe.

Breakfast Variety and freshness was amazing. Staff very friendly at breakfast and really looks after you. Coffee can be better.

Evening restaurant service was not great. It wasnt that busy and I do know we arrived at about 8pm, but we had to walk after waiters to get helped, to place orders, even had to almost clean our own table basically. And it wasnt that busy. Just really looked like everyone was tired and not really keen or focused on customer service. At the end the food was good, so we were relaxed and happy about that.

The Lord Charles is very conveniently located with easy access to the R44 and all surrounding areas. The grounds are beautifully maintained and very inviting. the rooms are a lovely size, the bed very comfortable, the linen clean and crisp with good pillows, clean bathroom with good water pressure and a convenient coffee/tea making facility in the room. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Lovely lounge available in the hotel reception area to meet people for a quick meeting or catch up.

The hairdryer is fixed in the bathroom. Bathrooms are humid and not an ideal place for drying your hair. Much better to have a standalone hairdryer conveniently located at a desk/dressing table with a mirror.

Nice hotel with beatiful grounds. Gives a bit of colonal feel. Pool.

Stayed in 2 rooms. One was super noisy from the room next door (just olain conversation) and they also did works straight outside my window from 7.00 am without any warning. I ordered a taxi from the hotel back to the airport. In the end they out a 2nd person in the taxi but the price was not adjusted. Don’t find this very correct. When you ask for a personal transfer you do not expect thos or atleadt should halve the price. Next time i’ll Uber

It's is unique ,the hospitality , the staff and their breakfast and definitely it's a place that I will definitely come back

Oh nothing but the people who are cleaning the room they should make sure that if a person stays there for days they must clean properly cause they only clean the bathroom and make a bed and change towels in only which I appreciate but they don't clean the room

Dinner choices are dismal. Food options need to be smaller and simpler. Room service options were also not great. Rooms are very far from reception. If the hotel is not full, why don't you put your guests in the 2000 or 4000 rooms? Why send them to the 6000 rooms? There was no hot water in the shower for the evening of 25 March and morning of 26 March. Not good enough when you spend R3000 for one person for one night!

Lovely large grounds with well-kept gardens. Rooms quiet and outside noise hardly heard. Staff exceptionally friendly especially Theresa at the front desk.

The restaurant La Vigno was a disappointment and the menu sounds delicious but hasn’t been executed properly and lacks finesse and taste. Example, crispy fried aubergine was soaked in oil and tasted like oil.

The hotel location. The rooms are clean and spacious and have a great view if you get the lake view rooms. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The food selection at the restaurants was good. Nice welcome gesture with the mini desserts.

They only provide with two bottles of water complimentary and then you have to buy it and if you are staying for long it becomes inconvenient unless you go shopping for it....also the breakfast coffee selection...you have to pay for speciality coffees which is a bit of an ask for a 4 star. During our first stay we only got luke warm water in the shower and you had to run the water for long before it warms up....a real waste. The second stay the shower was leaking and the bathroom had a strange smell.

Nothing except for holidays it will be nice if they can arrange some celebrations maybe at a Fee because the area is a bit far from waterfront,so if u are using ehailing u are sort of scared to visit new years celebration places without your own transport and it will also be nice for the kids to see a few crickets in the sky entering into the new year the ones that are not harmful

Where do I start. Everything about the 27 days we stayed at the hotel was exceptional.! The Suite, the hotel, the people, the views and location was incredible. Only 23 mins from the airport and the vineyards of Stellenbosch and Paarl 35 minutes away.

Absolutely nothing
