the views here are g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! for views across the peaceful surroundings, select the upper floor. the difference in price is worth it. for those working remotely, the wifi was adequate for VCs

not an issue for me, and just so others are aware - there is no one manning reception for check-in, orientation upon arrival, answering of queries etc instead, you’ll find detailed notes in your room. plus, I used the Booking messaging platform to communicate. the manager responded very quickly to all messages

This is a beautiful hotel consisting of several houses with a few rooms. Our room was in the top floor of the houses, we had a beautiful view over the rice teracces. The room is very beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. The onsite restaurant serves delicious food and the only thing you can hear is the calming river in the valley below.

The bathroom is "open", so you can have mosquittos inside. Not all staff members speak English - we had some problems communicating when no english staff was nearby. For checkin and checkout english staff was available though. The location is a bit "off" but in the area of the other hotels in Sideman. So you are not next to the village but still have lots of services very close by like other restaurants, scooter rental etc.

Beautiful cottages in serene garden with amazing views from the restaurant terrace on rice fields and mountains. Nirarta is also a meditation center and Peter is highly experienced, professional life coach. He has deep stores of knowledge and insights that he shares with kindness, humility and gentle smile. Highly recommended for spiritual retreats and re-examining our lives to see blissful peace in our daily routine.

the high humidity of the area and the proximity of rice fields means that there are a lot of mosquitoes already in the afternoon, so we didn't use the terrace much. no repellents for insects or ants, of which there are many. No air conditioning, only one small fan per large room. The cleaning team did not refill the coffee, but left the room unlocked (we returned only in the evening). The staff is not as open and friendly as it is in Bali. Everyone participates in meditations, so take note of when you need to do something. Breakfasts are tasty, but portions are small

Nirarta is a blissful sanctuary! The setting is absolutely breathtaking, the room itself was Devine - the most comfortable bed I’ve come across in Bali! It was clean, and beautifully furnished. The grounds are impeccable and the river is there if you fancy a quick, refreshing dip. I loved the morning meditations with Peter in the beautiful shala, and there were places and opportunities for your own practice. The location was also great, a short walk from a whole host of delicious food, scooter hire and also information for activities if you were that way inclined. I will be back! Hidden oasis!!!...one of the most beautiful places in the whole of bali..if you are seeking solace, peace,beauty,warmth,love,nourishment of soul....and more...nirarta is the place to be !.from the moment we stepped into the property premise...me & my mum felt a heavenly vibration welcome us into a lovingly nurtured abode 😇 .. The gardens are gorgeous...views stunning..lovely river flows down by the place ...all the elements of mother nature enhance the overall expirience. Most of the cottages are huge with open air bathrooms..simple yet elegantly & tastefully furnished with all the required amenities one would need. All the people working here are helpful & simply amazing souls.. We had the pleasure of meeting our wonderful hosts daayu & peter...thank you for creating such a wonderful space & sharing it with us🙏 Bonus are the energy flow & meditation sessions that you can join in every morning & evening. We initially booked for 2 days only to extend our stay for another 6 days😄..cant wait to be back again!!

My room was so spacious and quiet. I barely left it for days as I had work to get done. It was surrounded by beautiful gardens and a shaded balcony to sit on to enjoy the day. The room felt very private even though there was someone staying on the level above. It was the perfect place to get away and really relax.

The timings for the restaurant opening for breakfast, lunch and dinner were unusual for me so I only ate breakfast there and walked elsewhere for lunch and dinner. Best view from the restaurant though!

I booked Nirarta for my daughter and myself so we could immerse straight into the local Sideman community and stay somewhere peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect start to our trip. Thank you for the morning meditation with staff was just lovely, Ketut😌. Our room had the most beautiful view over the valley, with the amazing forest creatures for company and at night, fortunate to see fireflies 💛. Close to many Warungs with delicious local organic food. The restaurant at Nirarta amazing too. Gardens stunning.

Only for constructive feedback but likely personal preference the beds quite firm, this seems to be the case in most Bali accommodation however. Also the hot water service in the room a little temperamental needs a service maybe. Also no safe for valuables however we used our own strategy, felt safe in this environment anyway.

Wow! This was unexpected. We only booked this a few days before deciding to visit Sidemen - the reviews were ok and the price was very cheap. It was quite an odd name for a hotel but we went for it and didn’t expect too much. Well what a surprise. It was beautiful. The gardens and grounds were immaculate with beautiful lush flowers all around, a little oasis. Our room was huge with big windows and a balcony with the most incredible views onto the river and mountains. It was breathtaking. We were able to hire a scooter and do some laundry - all the staff were lovely. The breakfast was great and again with incredible views all around. The location was brilliant - we were able to walk to various restaurants/warungs each night, quite a lot of choice.

Not much. Our toilet didn’t flush properly but not an issue and was fixed quickly. I think the name of the property - Nirarta Centre for Living Awareness - may put people off booking as it is unusual. There is meditation available at the property but was not a obvious. If we went back to Sidemen we would absolutely book Nirarta again!

Nirarta is located in what is easily the most beautiful area I’ve seen in Bali—just look at the view from the restaurant! This was a quiet and restful stay. The facilities exceeded expectations—very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. If you have the chance, make sure to meet Peter, the founder. Meeting him was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Bali.
