Our 2 nights stay at Bosjes in April was divine. We had a half board package including breakfast & dinner. Both were very good. Our 2 young kids got there own kiddies dinner while we ate later. Everything in the hotel is extremely beautiful: the rooms, the gardens, the playgrounds, the heated pool. Additionally, the staff was very (kids) friendly and did everything they could to make us happy. Thanks Bosjes!

Upon our arrival, we were received by the friendliest bunch of staff members. It was our fist visit to Bosjes and we were really blown away by everything. No money or effort was spared, all the way from the design of the buildings, the construction, the interior design and fitment, the quality of the food, the amenities!1 To top it all, we were treated to a surprise game drive. My word, what an experience. A definite must visit location and experience!! And do not miss out on a stroll trough the magnificent gardens and chapel. Well done to the owners, management an staff. You are doing the Breede Valley and the Boland proud. To Sonika, Georgie, Gideon, Emma, Nicolene and the rest of the Bosjes team. We are now officially family.
The only real let-down was the quality of the Bosjes wine served at dinner. Prior to our visit, I enquired about the availability of Chardonnay. We were assured that Bosjes has its own Chardonaaly. The Bosjes Chardonnay was really beyond its sell-by date. The quality was substandard. This was pointed out to Georgie and Gideon. Sadly there were no other Chardonnay options. We ended up using Chenin Blanc which we bought at Jason's Hill earlier that day. The Bosjes red wine was stored somewhere at temperatures a lot warmer that even room temperature. That negatively affected the quality of the red wines as well. We will sure be bringing our own wines to our next stay at Bosjes.

If you have got to the stage of finding this property then my advice is to just book it - you will not be disappointed. We travelled from the UK as a family of four with our two girls aged 7 and 8. There are so many highlights but to call out a few: 1. The staff are without exception the friendliest and most helpful people on the planet; 2. The spa treatments were incredible (we both had massages); 3. The facilities for children (three play areas including water play) were exceptional; 4. The outdoor pool was well heated with towels provided; 5. Kombuis restaurant at Lunch was fantastic (do book in advance); 6. Spens restaurant had great informal dining (cakes, pizzas, coffees etc); 7. We were offered a complimentary game drive which was fantastic - we even saw giraffes! 8. Our room was unbeatable with plenty of space, a fridge, an upstairs room for our children, incredible views, included (quality) toiletries, power shower etc. 9. The whole place (accommodation, play areas, communal areas, parking) is behind a manned security gate; 10. We were given complimentary proteas - a lovely touch; 11. There's a complimentary high tea around 3pm - the cake was fantastic. It's always possible to make yourself a quality coffee in the communal sun room (which we did whilst our children had to catch up with some homework). 12. Our hire car key fob stopped working completely whilst we were staying and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. 13. The views are to die for everywhere around Bosjes. It's breath-taking. Honestly, we had the most fantastic stay. It was pretty much faultless. Our kids were in seventh heaven on the zip wire and soaring down the slides. The Bosjes Sauvignon Blanc was also incredible!
Like other reviewers have said, the hotel should consider having a system in place to assist with getting luggage to guests' rooms. I do appreciate that Bosjes is probably only expecting guests to be with them for one or two nights but it is worth bearing in mind that many guests will have a lot of luggage as they will be staying at Bosjes as part of a longer trip in South Africa, perhaps from an international location. The guest accommodation manager did help me with some of our bags (for which we were grateful) but I think they do need a trolley and a staff member designated to providing this service. It wasn't immediately clear to us which route we should take to the room either - to avoid the pool and steps.

Everything is available and is perfectly maintained. Reception was very good by RIA, it was a very hot day, we were offered healthy & icy cold welcome drinks, and we were orientated about the place. We love nature, so it felt good to be surrounded by the plantation, trees, and mountains and also having the option of walking trails. the room was big, clean, well decorated. I liked the variety of snacks provided in the room. I liked the butler service at the touch of a button electronically in the room. The bathroom had rails to keep towels warm. The bed was so comfortable, it was so difficult to come out of it. They have a warm pool and a spa to enjoy. They cook scrumptious meals and waiter George was very hospitable and made dinners awesome. A cherry on top is the availability of a well-designed chapel facing the mountain, we used it with my partner for prayers and celebration of his birthday.
the WEATHER suddenly changed, so my partner could not ho for the safari. otherwise everything was perfect

we both enjoyed "the feeling of excellence " you experience when you walk in the doors.. from the friendly staff going out of their way to accommodate you to the rooms with everything you need and more..
We enjoyed the spa couples treatment tremendously. I would recommend a bit more " extra touch and pamper" when it comes to the facial i had. when you have a mask on, do a bit extra.. hand massage or shoulder massage or anything.. it all makes you want to recommend it even more to friends and family.

Gorgeous grounds and gardens, staff were all amazing, the spa is small yet very serene and beautiful. Food was great, though dinner portions could have been slightly larger (more than enough for me, but my boyfriend could have eaten more). Would definitely recommend!
A bit odd that there was a queen bed instead of a King in a large room.

This is an outstanding choice in every respect. The location is just awesome, the rooms filled with luxury, the pool, the library, the living room – top notch. The quality of wine, food, service – excellent. Special thanks to Sonike, she made our experience from Bosjes simply unforgettable. We will come back again for more!

Location was great, there were the most beautiful walks on the farm itself. Staff were super attentive and helpful. We loved all the different seating areas, to read or just have a glass of bubbly and enjoy the view!
Can't think of a single thing!

The breakfast was lovely. The venue is cosy and the ambience delightful. Good variety was presented and the granola was my favorite
The dinner vegetarian option was not my best meal ever, but my husband loved his karoo lamb!

Room was beautifully appointed and layer out. For me to have zero complaints is a miracle! It was very windy but the room was cozy. Dinner was OK. The pool and bar area are just superb We will definitely be back.
Dark towels offered. I know white is difficult but this color is not good for an establishment of this caliber. Dinner service was slow. We skipped dessert as a result. Beds are a bit small
