We stayed at the Peacock as we were visiting a car show at nearby Stoneleigh. Excellent location, our room was clean and the only issue was that the bathroom was a little small but we were only there for one night so it didn't spoil anything. We opted to stay for breakfast which was lovely, everything was hot and cooked well. For us the main highlight of this hotel is the staff. So friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We travel to Kenilworth once a year and have stayed at various places but we would definitely stay at the Peacock again, it will be our first choice. Thank you for a lovely break. Kay & Mick

Good location easy walk into town. Good value for the price. The dinner was wonderful, really good Malaysian food. Staff are nice. The bed was also comfortable and had different types of pillows which helped preference.
It did feel quite cold although there is a heater in the room it is not that powerful and radiators were off. Understand it's a dated building but struggled a little with feeling chilly. Some creeks and bangs in the night from heater and probably water system too, the walls are quite thin but probably again due to building age. Bring earplugs but it wasn't loud past 23:00.

The owners were really nice people and made me feel very welcome. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delivered hot to the table - a pleasant change from lukewarm buffets.
Others have commented on the thin walls. You can certainly hear guests in the room next door but this is not something the owners can do anything about. However, they should do something to stop guests on the ground floor using the fire exit as a short cut to the car park or as a way of going outside to smoke. They should alarm this door. The door was continually being left open.

We had a 2 night stay Bed was really comfortable, the room was very clean and pleasantly decorated. Tea and coffe facility in room. We opted to have the cooked breakfast £10 per person and were very glad we did! Food was really tasty and well prepared, great cheese omeletteThe Peacock has a Malaysian restaurant The Captains Curry was fantastic!! Staff were so friendly. There is also ample car parking. A really good stay. Kenilworth Castle is well worth a visit.
nothing to complain about.

The property was welcoming and the staff were friendly and looked after us well. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was tasty and well cooked and we very much enjoyed our stay. The Raffles restaurant attached to the hotel was delicious and the Feather Bar and Grill was also tasty.
It would have been good if the fact that there would be no cooked breakfast on the Monday was flagged up when we confirmed we would want breakfast on the Monday rather than the confusion on the day. The continental breakfast was good though.

Prior to our arrival, the hotel communicated with us regarding the room changed from a family room to a superior due to some maintenance reasons, which we appreciated. The new room was a pleasant surprise, resembling the charm of a bygone era akin to Warwick Castle which we visited just before coming to the hotel. This nostalgic touch truly made our stay feel unique and memorable. Additionally, the bathroom looked renovated (worth to mention that it had a shower and a bath) providing a modern and comfortable experience. The breakfast was good. Plenty of spaces in the parking lot. Overall, it was a delightful experience that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip.
The thin walls allowed us to hear a couple conversing loudly from an adjacent room throughout the night. Additionally, we found the absence of a refrigerator inconvenient as we had perishable items that required cooling. Furthermore, we encountered an issue with the shower where the hot and cold water controls were initially stuck, necessitating some effort to adjust them to a comfortable temperature.

Well placed to walk to shops and places of interest, ample parking, restaurant on site, breakfast offers a good selection for continental and also options for cooked were good too, small room (expected) but had everything you’d need, plenty of hot water and a good bath and shower, spotless bathroom and linen, generally pretty quiet from a road noise and other guests perspective, very good value for money, staff onsite 24/7 and they were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful without being intrusive, my young daughter and I enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again if we are back in the area.
Only thing to note for less mobile guests that the stairs are steep and a little narrow and there isn’t a lift. It’s obviously part of the original house pre hotel. Not a negative for us, and help with luggage would be happily offered by the owners I’m sure. Just an observation as there were no other negatives for us, and I believe I saw there are ground floor rooms available.

Staff were very friendly. Room was spotlessly clean. Bed was comfy. Big fluffy towels. Bottled water and biscuits replenished every day. Very central to Kenilworth - in fact on main road through it so pubs restaurants etc all very close. Didn't eat in the restaurant in the end so cannot comment on breakfast or meals but it all looked nice. Good sized car park - does get quite full but we always found space even the first night when the hotel was full.
The room decor was a bit tired and the bed divan frame was old and torn BUT everything very clean and there was a mattress topper on the bed so in fact it was very comfy. The TV was broken and required a part to fix it which was not forthcoming during our 3 night stay BUT the manager offered to move us after the first night to a room with a working TV . However by then were planning to spend evenings with our daughter and we liked our room being at the back of the hotel (and therefore very quiet) - so we stayed put.

We booked a superior room. The bed was extremely large and comfortable, and everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with good choices for vegetarians.
Although the style and quality of the furnishings and decor were lovely, here and there things were a little bit shabby round the edges e.g. a few marks on furnishings, and the sink tap was a bit wobbly. Nothing serious to mar our stay. I had previously stayed in a standard room, which felt less spacious and a bit more dull and functional. The shower in the standard room was also rather feeble, although in the superior room it was excellent.

The breakfast was good, but I had a difficult time explaining what I wanted as the waiters English wasn't great
The room I had was directly above the kitchen, so after the restaurant closed, there was an awful lot of noise , cupboard doors banging, pans clattering , this was after 11pm. Then around midnight , a dishwasher or washing machine was put on which again was very noticeable in my room.i rang downstairs reception to complain, but again theur English wasn't good so didn't really understand what I was talking about .
