Hotel is in beautiful house and hotel room is beautiful as well. Hotel staff was very very helpful in the hotel and during the breakfast. They tried to fulfill all our needs.

You cannot contact the hotel. They are responding just once in a day. I was messaging them and they responded next day same time. Even if I went to message them again immediately they responded next day. Room needs renovation. We had water leaks from air conditioner placed outside of the room via the window. Bathroom needs renovation. A lot of things were missing or not working in the room. We made several requests to have things done. Bring me hairdrier - ok. Fridge not working - ok. Foot towel is missing - ok. And a lot of requests like this.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and worked hard to ensure the guests had a pleasant stay. The property is in a great location surrounded by historic buildings. The Waterkant and Fort Zeelandia are less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The breakfast was great and had a variety of options. Thank you to Ania for allowing me to store my luggage at the hotel after checking out. Overall, it’s a great hotel if you’re looking for an affordable option in the center of Paramaribo

On this trip of 3 countries and 6 accommodations, Hotel Palacio was by far the best! Great ambience, central location, well maintained, such friendly and helpful staff, clean, great WiFi, aesthetically pleasing common areas and room, comfortable bed, delightful shower! I had to double-check my reservation, because I couldn't believe such great value for so little money. I was bummed I had only one night there. Any time I come back to Paramaribo, this is where I'm going to stay.

Smaller hotel in a nice wooden building in the historical center of Paramaribo. Comfortable, cosy, quiet and clean room (204). Superfriendly staff. Good breakfast (try the Suriname omelette and the chicken pie, if available). Good a/c and Wifi. Good value for money.

No hot water in the shower. Reading light could be better. You have to walk a bit before you find restaurants. There is only a Burger King nearby.

The hotel is a lovely old building in the unesco world heritage site part of the city five minutes walk from independence square and 10 minutes from restaurants. The interior is modern, well furnished and we could not have had a warmer welcome from the staff. Our room was spacious and clean. Everything worked. The best bathroom in the whole of our south america trip. Generous breakfast. Great value. The staff are outstanding.

Nothing - although an additional power point would be welcome

The rooms are perfect and very comfortable. There is a sitting area in the room where you can eat and a desk to work if you need it. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for visitors. The bathroom is self contained with great water pressure. I stayed for 7 days and the price was reasonable compared to other places. There is an on-site dining room where you can order meals if you choose. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of national monuments. The staff are very polite and helpful. There is a Republic Bank Branch and ATM next door. However, you can pay the hotel with any major credit card. I would definitely visit again.

Everything. The staff is perfect, really professional and helpful. The hotel has its charm. Nice to stay in an older building with some history behind. The room size and the view from the room (202), absolutely no complaints.

Really nothing serious to complain about. But if I am a bit picky, I would wish that the breakfast would start a bit earlier than at 8am. Normally they set it up before 8am, but not all the options are available.

The major plus is the location; central and on arguably Paramaribo's most beautiful street adorned with these classic old wooden houses Paramaribo is famous for. Considering its a 3 star place the breakfast was excellent and staff was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a great value stay

Rooms are ok, beds are hard (but surprisingly good sleep) however there is some mold starting to appear in the bathrooms (which are somewhat aged and actually in need of refurbishment). No swimming pool and no bar. The value for money aspect makes up for that.

It is in a good location in the old town and a lovely ambience in the building.

Not having an elevator is a pian when you arrive. And the silly system of having to use the door-bell to be let in the front door every time needs fixing. Perhaps give the guests the gode fro the front door, or a key.
