Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Always addressed me by name, and met us with a smile. They made this stay so enjoyable. I booked on booking.com and the site charged me for a “pet friendly” room, which was extra (on the site). When I got to the hotel, I had to pay the pet fee anyway. So if you’re booking on a travel site, just book a regular room, don’t pay any “pet friendly” things, you’ll just pay it at the property. I lost money that way! Otherwise awesome stay.

This hotel was very nice from the past best westerns I’ve stayed. It was very clean, comfortable beds and friendly staff. The location was great being right off the hi-way and close to our venue we were attending.

There wasn’t a ton of parking but we were still able to park by the hotel. There seem to be kids hanging around the hotel that appeared to be the staffs kids wh I think is unprofessional but they were not a nuisance. Just hanging in the front lobby area.

The room we got was more than we expected. It wasn’t just the 2 beds and an ac, it had a sitting area with 2 couches and a table. Very comfortable beds. Hot breakfast in the morning with a large dining area. This hotel was well above what you normally get for the price. Also if anyone’s interested, we were only about 10 minutes from Buc-ee’s. :)

The parking is very tight if you drive an suv or truck. I don’t recall seeing a pool either, if there was we didn’t use it. Normal night staff personality.

We were there for the Falcons training camp, so the location was GREAT! We were about 3-5 minutes away, depending on traffic. The hotel was very clean!!! Exceptional!! The staff was amazing! Very helpful with ideas of things to do with my 4 year old when she was born after the Falcon practice. Very helpful when it came to matters of the hotel, needing extra towels, sheets etc... The complimentary breakfast was awesome as well!! My daughter said the pancakes were shaped like flowers 😁. After adding sprinkles and chocolate to her pancakes, she said they tasted amazing! This will be my go to hotel from now on!!!!!

The lobby was very clean and welcoming and had a decent mini-store if you forgot anything. The room was VERY clean and the daily cleaning while we were out of the room was great. The breakfast was fine—nothing incredible but there were pancakes, bacon, egg, sausage, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and some fruit so can’t complain. All in all, this is probably the best place to stay in the area.

Espresso machine was unfortunately broken while we were there—likely from a bad storm that happened on our first night. The breakfast area could’ve had a better flow of traffic because it got crowded but honestly it was fine.

The hotel room/bathroom/sheets were clean. The beds were comfortable. Loved the water pressure of the shower. Although, it is a pet friendly hotel; it did not smell. I loved the aroma coming from the lobby as you enter the building. The staff was friendly, especially the housekeeper in charge of our room. I told the staff that I didn’t need my room cleaned, but she still knocked on my door to see if I needed anything.

I felt like the parking lot was a little tight, but we still had places to park when returning late to the property.

We liked the Large comfortable room with sofa & chair & big screen tv. Coffee/cappuccino machine in lobby was a nice touch. The front desk staff was friendly & available 24/7. Housekeeping staff was very friendly & helpful. Great location near car rental, grocery stores, fast food & nail/hair salons which came in handy as we were in town for a wedding. Ample parking & safe location.

We asked for a quiet room but our room faces the front parking lot & we heard car alarms all hours of the night. The pool is tiny. The eggs at breakfast were terrible in our opinion but it was complimentary so we didn’t complain - just didn’t eat it.

Front desk staff instantly made me feel comfortable and safe. Rode elevator with a person representing the house cleaning staff. She was kind and offered many smiles. My suite was clean and inviting Breakfast was good the next morning.

Could add small things for breakfast that could make a difference. Like cream cheese for bagels, cheese for the grits and eggs. I'm grasping here, cause those things are trivial in the grand scheme of things.

First of all, I would really like to thank Michael from the reception. I had some rough (not related to the hotel) days during my time in the Oakwood area, but Michael really brightened up those days. Best Western can be really proud to have him as one of their employees. Beside that, the location is also something worth noting: it's close to the highway but you don't hear the traffic, it's close to several dinner option, and it's within reasonable driving distance of Atlanta / Athens / Helen / Toccoa / Dahlonega / ... I liked the new shower cabin.

My room could have been cleaner (e.g. carpets). It wouldn't hurt to replace the sheets and curtains with new ones either.

Great location close to Gainesville, Lake Lanier and main access roads. Was ideal for a couple business visits in the area. Comfortable beds. A fairly standard but decent breakfast which is good enough to get you going in the morning. Great value for money.

Nothing to dislike. Would happily stay again when in the area.
